Marshall Appliance Repair

Tim from Marshalls appliance came same day after I got home from work. The heating element was burned out but he also opened the dryer cabinet and found it full of lint. The venting to the roof was clogged with lint. He brushed and vaccumed the dryer cabinet and replaced the heating element. he went on the roof and removed some chicken wire over the vent and made sure there was good air flow, and he repaired the dryer cap on the roof. He explained how to prevent this from recurring. This was by far the best service I have ever received for any appliance. I also got a 10 % discount.

Tim Marshall arrived 15 minutes early and within five minutes, diagnosed the problem as a broken lid-plunger activated switch. Within 30 minutes of arriving, he replaced the switch, did an ops check, gave us recommendations on models to replace it when the time came, and provided information on the exact age of our washer (16 years old). He was very professional, jovial, and informative. It was a very positive experience and we would not hesitate to call on him again for any appliance repair!

I contacted Marshall Appliance because my refrigerator/freezer quit and all my frozen food was thawing. Even though I didn't call until late in the day, and Tim was booked until the middle of the following week, due to my emergency situation he came that same evening. He identified the problem, fixed the refrigerator and went above and beyond my leveling it properly and changing a door bushing. I would highly recommend Marshall Appliance and will certainly use them again.

It went really good. After looking at several potential causes, Tim concluded that the problem was with the timer. He replaced the timer and this solved the problem. Tim was very professional, arrived on time, and did a great job. I would highly recommend him.

Mr Marshall arrived when expected. Unfortunately, although he agreed that I had given a clear explanation of the symptoms of the problem, he arrived without the parts he knew I needed. The parts he replaced were 2 cotton cords attached to a spring. He worked about 30-45 minutes and charged me over $150, which included the 10% discount. That's some SERIOUS labor fees! Bottom line... he's far too expensive!

Very well. I left a message through Angies List and was called right away to schedule an appointment. Tim did the repair. Was very professional and friendly. Did a great job in a timely manner.

Tim replaced the igniter associated with the malfunctioning burner. This fixed the problem.

He was able to come that day, which was much appreciated. He was familiar with the problem and was able to take care of it right away with a minimum of fuss. (I thought I might have to get some bags of ice to keep the food fresh while he worked on it, but it didn't take that long.) He also made a modification that (hopefully!) will keep the problem from re-occurring. I would use him again.

Tim did a great job. Would recommend him to anyone needing appliance repairs.

This was actually the second service visit from this provider. He had previously come on Feb. 6 because the ice maker in my 7 year old refrigerator/freezer was not working properly. He had replaced the optic sensor and installed a new ice maker for a total cost of $353 which included a 10% Angie's List discount. I was satisfied with the work that was performed on that earlier visit. However, after a few weeks, I had large amounts of water spilling out from the ice maker and freezing throughout the interior of the freezer compartment. When I called for service the second time, I was impressed at how quickly Mr. Marshall was able to come to my home, i.e., same-day service, even though it was a Saturday. I appreciated the sense of urgency he displayed. Initially, he examined the ice maker that he had installed the previous month. After establishing that it was working properly, he diagnosed the problem as the ice maker fill tube, which apparently was not closing properly. A new water fill tube was installed. I was charged for the new part, but there were no additional labor charges because of the 180-day labor warranty from the previous visit. This appears to have taken care of the problem as I have had no recurrence of water spillage and the ice maker has been working properly. Mr. Marshall, the owner of the business, is very pleasant and professional. My impression is that he is a man of integrity who stands behind his work. I would feel confident calling on him again should the need arise.

Provider is courteous, very knowledgeable and capable. He completed the work but it did take more time than he expected and, hence, a higher labor cost.

Our dryer was making a terrible noise that was getting worse. Tim, the owner of Marshall Appliance Repair, showed up at about 6:00 pm and took the dryer apart. He found a softener sheet in the blower. That fixed our problem, but when he got the dryer back together it wouldn’t run. The control panel was blown. He ordered a new panel (very expensive) and a few days later it was installed. The dryer controls don’t seem to be as crisp as before but the dryer is so quite its hard to hear.

Great service starting with the friendly Rosanna answering my call immediately. I called late in the day and she was able to get me an appointment for the next day but I scheduled for the following day due to my availability. Tim arrived on time with the correct parts and identified the problem immediately. The repair was completed within the hour at a reasonable price. Tim is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. This was the first time I used Marshall Appliance Repair and would definitely call Tim for any future needs.

Tim was here 3 hours, talked over the troubleshooting process, explained the problem, showed me what he could, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after himself nicely. A gem. Thenks Tim.

First I really wish to apologize to Tim Marshall for not posting this review in a timely manner. He very quickly responded to our request for a dryer repair. He took the time to troubleshoot the dryer. It was broken, but to our surprise and shock, he showed us what had caused the dryer to break. He removed a mutilated and dead squirrel that had fallen down the dryer vent and into the dryer's blower area! It caused quite a mess as you might imagine. He was so gracious and professional in completely cleaning out the squirrel's mess and repairing the broken items caused by this unfortunate creature. He is definitely on our list to call for any future appliance repairs.

He came out at 6;00 pm after callingto see if it was allright and if we would be there. After asking me several questions about the ref. he thought he new what was wrong. He brought the correct part with him and he had all the necessary tools and equipment to perform the work. He fixed rthe problem and he replaced some internal parts that had broken previously. He worked until7:30 tthat evening and got the ref. woking fine. He went "above and beyond" what was necessary to get us up and running!

Our 4 year-old bottom freezer refrigerator was developing a sheet of ice on the floor of the freezer and leaking water onto the floor. This is a common problem with this model (Whirlpool), and it requires a modification of a small valve in the water drain from the defrost cycle. Mr. Marshall made the modification and the freezer has worked fine for the last 6 months. We also had him replace the pump on our dishwasher during a previous visit. That was a more expensive repair because of the cost of the part, but he was very careful in reassembling after the repair and it has worked perfectly with no leaks. Seems to know what he's doing, nice to work with, cleans up after himself. Fair prices, will use again.

Tim showed up on time. Was very knowledgeable, thorough and courteous. Quickly identified and fixed the problem.

I called Tim to schedule an appointment to get my dryer fixed. His wife answered the call and was wonderful and helpful, however, Tim was not going to be available for two weeks. Later that day, Tim called me and he made arrangements to come look at the dryer that night!!! He came after his regular work day ended and he went above and beyond to fix our dryer. Tim is a retired firefighter and his professionalism shone!!! Thank you Tim and wife for your outstanding service to someone that uses her dryer almost daily!!!

Washer broke Down on the 25th, Looked on Angies for repair shops, went with Marshalls on reviews. Called on Monday after the holidays. Appointment made for 31st at 4-6 pm Repairman Tim Marshall called to report he was running late and would be arriving soon. He was very professional and quick to find the problem end explain part cost and overall cost of repair. 212 dollars The total time from Arrival to departure was around 45 minutes, even tested the washer to be sure. We will definately call on Marshalls for any more repairs to our appliances ,

Tim arrived on time for the scheduled service appointment. He installed the circuit board and tested the ovens to see that they both were working. I was impressed with his professionalism . In addition, he checked out my dishwasher as I mentioned that it was not cleaning as well as in the past. He took out both spray arms and cleaned out the water holes. Although this was the first time I have used Marshall Appliance Repair, it was the very BEST experience of any service repair company I have ever used in my 25 years in Albuquerque.

Great communication.Tim arrived on time. Analyzed the problems. Both were electrical in nature. He brought the correct parts with him and he fixed them onsite.

On Christmas Eve, we noticed that our refrigerator didn't seem to be very cold. I sent a message to Tim, and he responded that he was out of town, but we arranged an appointment for the day after Christmas. In the meantime, Tim helped me to diagnose the issue (overloaded refrigerator and/or blocked vents). The refrigerator ended up not needing any service, so we cancelled the appointment. Tim was very helpful and professional, and kept in frequent communications with me. I will definitely contact him for any future repair needs!

The washing machine stopped operating Saturday a.m. Tim Marshall was called on Saturday a.m. and was able to come late Saturday afternoon. He removed the housing on the washer, conducted checks on the motor and determined the motor had failed and that it should be replaced. He checked the availability of the specific motor and told us the parts supplier was closed Saturday and he could pick up the part on Monday and do the replacement Monday afternoon. He gave us a cost quote with which we agreed.Tim showed up Monday afternoon at the time when he said he would come, replaced the motor, tested it to make sure the agitator and fill and drain functions were operational and put the machine back together. The price was as he quoted. The work area was left clean and tidy. This was the second time we had used Marshall Appliance Repair and we will use his services again.

Tim went straight to the oven and started work immediately. He removed the frame around the oven and pulled it out so he could see the back of it. He replaced the thermostat in the oven with the new one he brought with him. He turned on the oven to see if it would heat. After a few minutes he checked the oven and said it was heating like it should. While he was putting the oven back together I paid him the oven repair and then asked him he if worked on clothes dryers. When he said he did, I told him that my Samsung dryer did not seem to be drying thicker clothes like towels very well. He turned the dryer on for a few minutes to see if it was heating. After he determined it was, he pulled the vent off to see if there was blockage in the vent. When he did not find any blockage, Tim went on the roof to see if the vent was blocked there, which it was not. He would not take payment for the additional work but said to call him if I had any trouble with the dryer. I thought he was outstanding/
