KSM

I have used KSM Plumbing a couple of times. I think he is a little rough around the edges but he is trustworthy. I am not confident that he is knowledgeable about all plumbing issues. I had asked him to look at something and it wasn't quite up to par with what I was expecting. I may need to call someone else that has a higher expertise level to come look at it for me. I have a leak in my drain pipe where the sink, disposal, and dishwasher hook in. He is a decent guy and he left it looking very nice, but there is still a leak. I don't want to say anything bad about him, I just think he was a little over his head on this situation.

Amazing. The owner, Kevin, and his assistant (Kane) were thorough, friendly and very hard working. Kevin was so reasonably priced; he unknowingly beat out 3 other estimates I had done, all with well known large companies in ABQ. He also was the only one who thoroughly looked at my unit and asked me alot of questions. Then he gave me all of my options and what the outcomes of these options would be. No pressure at all from him. I went for installing the tankless water heater and they did an incredible job. Took them all day, they were very careful not to damage anything and did a thorough clean up afterwards. After being ripped off so many times and putting up with kind of sloppy workers, was so happy to find an honest, hard working guy with high work ethic standards and the desire to perform the work at a high level of excellence. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Update: This tankless system is the BOMB!! Wish I'd had it years ago.

We were very impressed with the level of service we received! While it would've been very easy to say we needed to replace everything (and this being our first house, we would't've known better), instead, Kevin was able to show my husband how to maintain and adjust our faucets. He replaced the necessary valves, and got appropriate parts when the ones he had were not right. He was very careful digging up and capping off the leaky pipe in the front yard. Adjusted the evaporative cooler for better water efficiency (reduce overflow, since the gauge wasn't set correctly). He consulted us on our old shower faucets, providing different options for how we can proceed. We will definitely be calling KSM again for future plumbing needs! Very appreciative of good service!

Kevin and his crew were on time, did a fantastic job, and put everything back together exactly as they found it. Kevin was very responsive to all our questions and issues. He was very easy to reach and work with.

Kevin returned our initial call the same business day. He scheduled our repairs at the first date/time we requested. Kevin showed up right on time,, looked at all three projects, gathered info from me regarding how much I wanted to spend and how I wanted the end product to be. He then left to get all the parts for all three jobs, returned and fixed all three items to our 100% satisfaction. 1) Our new home had a bad garbage disposal. Kevin gave me all of the ins and outs of brands and features available to me. I bought a 5/8 hp contractor grade disposal that is stainless steel and extremely quiet. I'm glad I didn't just go out to a hardware store and pick up a $100 disposal without stainless components that would not have lasted as long or had been nearly as quiet to operate. The extra cost was worth it to us. However, if that is not what you would like I am sure Kevin would accommodate your requests. The installation went well but he ran into some problems with the drain - this was due to prior bad installation. But to Kevin's credit he stayed with it until he got it completely fixed and it has worked extremely well since its installation. 2) We had a gas cook top installed by another contractor. It replaced an electric cook top so gas line needed to be run from the garage to the kitchen, and connected to the gas cook top. The prior contractor installed the gas line so that it made the two drawers beneath the cook top as well as one cabinet beneath the cook top unusable. Kevin adeptly re-routed the gas line, to code, and changed the configuration of the existing connections to render our drawers and cabinet 100% usable. Again, we are 100% satisfied with Kevin's work on this item. Although technically this was not a gas leak repair, I would have 100% confidence in Kevin's ability to help with leaks. And Kevin is honest enough that if he thinks he cannot do the job correctly he will refer you to someone who can. That is perhaps one of the highest compliments one can pay a contractor, imo. 3) We had two plumbers attempt to fix a pop-up drain in our MB sink. Kevin realized quickly that someone had used a knock-off brand plunger in the Kohler sink. Kevin worked for approx. 4 hours and charged us for 3 hours of labor in addition to a 10% AL discount. No reservations here whatsoever, we'd hire KSM again in a heartbeat.

Kevin and an assistant arrived as promised, brought and installed a new disposal and were very friendly, professional and competent. The cost was totally acceptable and I would without a doubt use KSM again in the future.

He was delightful. He solved my problems in the allotted time frame. He did a good job and was very pleasant during the entire procedure.

he fixed the kitchen faucet leak completely. He found a problem created by a previous plumber, gave me an estimatenand fixed it also. He gave me options on the leak in my shower, and and pros and cons of the options. After I chose one, he fixed that leak too. He did all this professionally. Friendly, efficient, and competent.

Kevin agreed to install dishwasher within 24 hours of delievery. He quoted a price 10% less than the homestore's published price. He also agreed to haul away old dishwasher When the dishwasher arrived on a Friday, I called Kevin to let him know the dishwasher had been delievered and he agreed to come Saturday Morning to install. Saturday morning he arrived on time, and very carefully and professionally installed the dishwasher. It took about two hours. He had previously installed a hot water heater for me, and again the work was done in a professional, timely manner and at a very competitive price.

See above and he took out some sprinkler 1/2 inch pipe and reconnected it all, so it works great. Next time I have to remove the sprinkler head, it will be easy.

Kevin did a great job getting my swamp cooler ready for the summer. He replaced pads, installed a new pump, cleaned and oiled the unit, adjusted the float and closed the dampers at the furnace. I have no experience with evaporative cooling so Kevin took the time to explain how to make best use the unit. I could not be happier with Kevin's work and support.

Could not be happier with Kevin's work. Before I found Kevin I contacted other plumbers that said they would up charge the cost of a new toilet if they had to pick it up. Working with Kevin was a breeze. He said he had good experience with WaterRidge high efficiency dual flush toilets he could buy at Costco. He only charged about $20 for his time to pick them up. These are great toilets like he said. Installation went great and cleanup could not be better. Kevin took time to point out the $150 per toilet city rebate available for switching over to these high efficiency toilets. He filled out his area of the rebate form and now I have a $300 credit showing on my water bill. Kevins cost was great to begin with but his pointing out the rebate made it extremely great. I plan to use Kevin for other plumbing work in the future.

They are very professional and show up on time. They were the best of the estimates we got.

Kevin called as he was leaving for my home, and he arrived when he said he would. He shut down my furnace for the season and got my evaporative cooler going. He replaced the pads in the cooler with better pads than I had been using. He checked that the cooler was working properly, before leaving my house. He also spent some time explaining how to using the cooler more efficiently. This involved knowing how much to open my windows to get the desired cooling effect. He also explained the updraft vents that came with my house, but which I had not previously understood. Kevin took his time making sure that I understood the above - he did not rush off. I will continue to use his plumbing services because he is competent and pleasant to deal with. .

Contacted Kevin at KSM to come by and give me an estimate on installing a new 50 gallon hot water heater. Current tank was not leaking but was 11 years old and rumbling a lot. Draining & flushing the water heater that I performed did not eliminate the noise. Also tank was on second floor and any leaking would prove costly to the downstairs ceiling. Kevin came by and gave me a fair estimate including the Angie's List discount he was running. Kevin called me an hour before arrival letting me know what time to expect him. He and Javier arrived on time and began working. They put down a thick plastic tarp around the work area to keep the carpet clean. Drained the old tank, took it out to their truck and brought in new one. Installation was quick, probably just a little more than 2 hours start to finish. Much of time was spent waiting for old tank to drain and new tank to fill up with water. They were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up. Installation looked great too. Kevin was also happy to answer any questions I had in detail. Was very pleased with their work. Will be calling KSM again for any future projects.

There was leak in the ceiling between the second floor (under bath) and dining room ceiling. This small leak caused the dining area ceiling to collapse. I was looking for reviews of plumbers in the area. I came across Angies's List and decided to sign up. I saw the excellent reviews for KSM plumbing. I decided to call and to my surprise Kevin was able to come to my home to give me an estimate for reapairing the leak (This was after I called other plumbers in our area who told us that I'd have to wait until the following day to get an estimate). So, Kevin showed up to my home at 3:30 as scheduled. He determined the cause of the leak and fixied it immediately. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the response to my concerns (I was worried that I'd have to go through the night without water). If I ever need a plumber again, I know exactly who to call...I even added KSM's number to my contacts.

We recently did a complete tearout and remodel of our kitchen, including all new appliances. I contacted Kevin and told him of our installation timetable. As soon as the cabinets were installed and the tile floor put down, Kevin arrived the next morning and installed all the appliances, including running a new gas line to the range. Everything was done quickly and neatly, and he returned the next day (Saturday) to finish up and install a new low flow toilet in our master bathroom. Kevin was competent, punctual and a pleasure to work with. I could not have been more pleased with his work.

Kevin keeps his work area neat, is very professional and was on time. He is there when he says he will be, and is great to work with. If we have any other plumbing needs, we will definitely call Kevin!! If you are reading my review, you should consider him as well!!

Went very well even though there was a defect (pinhole) in the Kohler Kitchen faucet that we had purchased at Lowe's. Kevin gave us advice to buy the faucet at Costco as it was a very good brand in his opinion and worth the price that Costco was selling it.

Needless to say, I was very relieved that this turned out not to be as serious as I first thought! When it was time to pay,Kevin reminded me of his $29.00 Service Call discount coupon on line. I bought the coupon and saved the full price of his visit. I'm grateful to him for telling me...and of course, I would call him again and recommend him to others.

He was on time. Came over and took a look at it. Left to get the parts. He then came back and installed it with out a problem. When he left he cleaned up after himself.

We have nothing negative to report regarding this contractor. We were very happy with the results and would gladly call Mr. Meek back for any other repairs we may need in the future. This is a thumbs up!
