Worst experience of my life of over 30 Real Estate transactions

The house was well priced by the agent and it sold in 4 months which was unheard of for the area. The fifth person who looked at the home with another agent made an offer. Kevin was professional and easy to work with.

My mom had to move suddenly and we needed to sell her home quickly. Kevin listed the home and sold it within a few weeks. The process was seamless for us.

I live out of state and felt selling my mother's house was going to be daunting from such a distance! I was fortunate to have Kevin Ramos recommended to me. We discussed my needs - he gave me encouragement and great advice. As soon as the house was listed, we had 3 potential buyers vying for the property. Kevin provided great expertise and took care of all the details. I believe we got a fair price. The inspection and all other details were handled flawlessly. He had a mobile notary come to my home to get the signatures. The night of the closing, the funds were transferred to the bank. A job I had dreaded was completed quickly with great results thanks to Kevin!

Kevin Ramos did an excellent job. He started from a very extensive marketing job first. He showed the house to very many different customers. He negotiated the sales price with the byer following by my request. He sold the house in a month which is in my opinion an excellent result. I knew that two of my former neighbors were trying to sell their houses for many months without success. I expected a long process while I asked Kevin to help me to sell my house, but I was wrong Kevin was able to implement his job very quickly.

Kevin was very helpful in our initial search for a home and worked with us through two transactions (one did not work out). While looking at houses, Kevin would often point out things he saw that were in need of repair, offering us advice on which things could be fixed, how much it might cost, etc. He seems to be quite well-educated regarding all aspects of homes and the real estate market. He was prompt in getting our offer paperwork, as well as all subsequent paperwork, filled out and in answering our myriad of questions. We liked the fact that he dealt with all paperwork electronically. The negotiation phase (i.e., the phase from acceptance of our offer to closing) was considerably less than smooth for both of the transactions in which Kevin served as our agent. The first transaction fell apart when the sellers did not complete repairs that had been agreed upon in writing. The second transaction was ultimately successful, however, the communication and flow of information between the parties involved left much to be desired. Frankly, we don't really fault Kevin for any of this. In the former case, we were dealing with sellers and/or a sellers' agent that I believe were simply dishonest people. In the latter case, I suspect that the parties on the sellers' side were simply inept. Kevin helped us to get through these situations, for which we are thankful. We imagine that they were frustrating for him, as they were for us. Nevertheless, we do believe that Kevin could improve on his approach to communicating with his clients. There were times when we felt like he was feeding us platitudes to put our minds at ease, rather than giving us more realistic expectations regarding the likelihood and the reasons that things could go wrong. This felt a bit insulting, and made us wonder if he was working in his best interest, rather than ours. We are rather cynical people, though, so take that for what it's worth. Another important thing to note: we were also impressed that even after the transaction was completed, he came to the home to help us out with a maintenance problem and checked up on us a couple times thereafter. We aren't sure how many other agents would have done something like that, but it certainly made us feel like he was going above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our new home.

Angie List was our resource to find a list of realtors, we spoke with other realtors, however we took Kevin based on the recommendations and also his personalty. Kevin was very courteous, punctual and his follow up was great. Our house was sold in one day. We are recommending Kevin very highly.

I contacted Kevin and made an appointment to meet to discuss putting the house on the market. He arrived exactly when he said he would and provided all the relevant information I needed to make decisions then, once I was ready to go forward, he was always very responsive and punctual. I never asked a question that he wasn't able to thoroughly answer. The first buyers had a change of mind and Kevin worked diligently on marketing the house and quickly found new buyers. I would recommend him to friends.

If you're looking (and who isn't?) for SUPERB, OUTSTANDING customer service in a real estate agent, then look no further than Kevin Ramos.. As a woman, and first-time home buyer, Kevin met and exceeded all of my expectations! I was a bit worried when we started the process, (working out of town at the time), but quickly found out that Kevin had my back at every turn! He communicated every detail (both day and night) in e-mails and phone calls to make sure all of the bases were covered. He worked well with the seller's agent to negotiate the best price and he made sure all of the "T's" were crossed and the "I's" dotted. He even helped me find the perfect lender and closing agent (they were all outstanding) as well. From start to finish, the process went very smooth...I was extremely happy! Recently, I asked Kevin to come over to my home (I am still remodeling) to give me his opinion as to the current value and resale should I decide to sell. He enthusiastically came over, and once again, ,gave me his thoughts of remodeling ideas and additions that would add value to my home. I would without hesitation recommend Kevin to my friends as a top-notch real estate agent. Thank you Kevin for a job well done!

I contacted Kevin after I could not get my house sold with over 10 months being on the market with another relator. He went over the time it should take to sell the house and how he would use a customized direct marketing to give me the best chance of getting an offer and having it sold. True to his word we had an offer and it sold in the time he said it would. I would recommend Kevin to anyone trying to sell their house.

Kevin Ramos is the equivalent of a rusty paint can. The label looks good, but if you need anything you have to pry him open with a screwdriver. Although Kevin is professional in conversation, he is never forthcoming with vital information relative to the real estate transaction. There was an active coupon for $500 off at the time I hired him, which he did not honor. He failed to provide a cost-breakdown analysis for the sale, which is standard operating procedure, even for the greenest realtors. His negotiation skills are inadequate, leaving the seller to develop a negotiation strategy on his own. Kevin is the epitome of the dreaded middle man; he takes the money but provides little to no service. He answered only 1 call out of approximately 20 calls placed over the course of the transaction. He will return calls, ~ 24-48 hours later, leaving you in suspense at some of the most vital times. I only saw him twice during the two months of the real estate transaction: the initial meeting to have me sign the sale contract, and the final meeting to sign the closing documents so he can get his commission. Selling a home is a stressful endeavor and Kevin provided absolutely no relief. If you are buying or selling a home, I do not recommend using Kevin's services.

Kevin is a superior realtor. He has honed his realtor skills by working directly in remodeling homes, being a licensed appraiser, serving on realty professional associations, and being active in promoting ethical realty professionalism. We identified several realtor candidates on Angies List and based on his reviews, he was the first we interviewed. Upon our first meeting, we felt his honesty, enthusiasm, and breadth of knowledge made him the ideal candidate to list and sell our home. There has been no cause to change that initial impression. Throughout the selling process, his advice, representation of our home, and optimism confirmed and embellished our first impressions. He has a fine eye for taking pictures of homes and using the pictures to make an eye-catching listing that attracted those who would have the greatest interest in our home. A large, heavily landscaped yard appeals to a special subset of buyers and Kevin's listing was so well designed that it attracted buyers with those interests. On our first weekend we had eight showings and four offers. Although the best offer from the first weekend did not work out to be a sale, Kevin's enthusiasm did not flag. He capitalized on people's interest and soon we additional offers to consider. His advice throughout was invaluable. Kevin is a very busy realtor, but limits the number of simultaneous clients to a manageable number that makes it appear as if you are his only client. He returns text messages very quickly and we never had a feeling of neglect. Kevin will guide you on how to prepare your home so that it will sell at the best competitive price in a reasonable length of time. In our view, he is the best realtor we could have chosen and recommended him without reservation.

We found Kevin based on his great reviews on Angie?s List. When we first contacted Kevin, we had no idea how the home buying process worked or what to expect. We emailed Kevin and he quickly responded and set up a meeting. When we first met Kevin, we were about six months away from actually being ready to purchase a home. Despite this, Kevin took the time to sit down with us to explain the basic process and discuss neighborhoods that fit our budget and preferences. Kevin used this information to set up an email system where we would regularly receive updates on new homes coming on the market based on our criteria. Over the next six months, we would email Kevin periodically to ask questions about different homes and Kevin would promptly respond. Once we were ready to buy, and found potential homes we liked, Kevin accommodated our schedules and took us out to view the properties in person. When we found the house we wanted, Kevin explained the next steps in detail and moved quickly to make an offer. As we moved through the negotiation process, Kevin provided the advice we needed to make our decision to purchase the home. We ended up with a great house at a price we were happy with. As first time homebuyers, we aren?t able to compare Kevin to any other realtors. But we do know how someone should treat his clients. In that regard, Kevin is the absolute best. Although it?s clear from his reviews that Kevin maintains a heavy workload, when you work with Kevin, you would think you?re his only client. Emails and phone calls are always promptly returned and Kevin is always available to help understand a complicated process. We had a great experience working with Kevin and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Kevin!

Kevin's Performance Feedback Tool (or PFT in corporate-speak) What can one say about a superhero? We began our journey for a home in New Mexico a few years ago. I fell in love with the Southwest starting with a business trip to Albuquerque, followed by a few single and family trips to Santa Fe and knew this was the place I wanted to spend the rest of my life in. It sure beat the winters in Illinois as well as the humid summers. It took my husband one trip to agree with me. We picked Rio Rancho for the convenience to both cities. We started to call around to various realtors and got only voice mail. Fourth time an actual person picked up the phone - Kevin. We had a friendly, productive and informative conversation and decided he was the realtor for us. At this point were looking at condos, so we scheduled a trip down. What we actually saw was not really for us and Kevin introduced us to a builder. We both thought that could be an option. Back to a second trip. This time we looked at new builds as well as pre-sales. As we looked at properties, Kevin gave us invaluble insights as to pros and cons, always focusing on what would meet our needs. Unfortunately, nothing really clicked for us. As they say, third time's a charm. Or so we thought. We found what we thought was the perfect house and put in an offer, only to find out we missed it by one day. This might have deterred most people but not Kevin and not us. All of us wanted to make this happen. Lesser realtors would probably have given up on us and walked away, but his diligence led us to a fourth trip. Nine homes of interest were on our list that he showed us on the first day, but he had a feeling that one of them clicked. As he dropped us back off, he suggested we narrow the field to four for the next day. Honestly, it was down to one, but we picked three and off we went. Viewing the others only cemented the fact that we had really found the perfect home for us. We got the property and we are happy to report that we will be the newest citizens of New Mexico. So what makes Kevin a superhero? He showed great determination in helping us to succeed and achieve our dream, but most inportantly to persevere with something as difficult as working with us. As we begin the process of selling our home in Illinois, all realtors will now held to what we have come to call the ?Kevin Standard.?

Mr. Ramos met us on time to show us two homes we were highly impressed with. He answered each question we asked in a professional, knowledgeable and articulate manner while exuding confidence to two somewhat jaundiced and skeptical seniors suspicious of the hype and overly exuberant manner of some real estate agents encountered in the past. While this was our first encounter with Mr. Ramos, we intend to work with him to find our perfect dream home and the sale of our two local properties. NOTE: This review is evolving and will be updated throughout our dealings with Mr. Ramos.

Kevin was able to sell our house in just over a month. It was complicated when the first offer fell through and the interactions with the second buyer was very difficult. The buyer's realtor or the buyer wanted many repairs and gave highly inflated quotes. With Kevin's help we were able to get them to accept more realistic quotes. Another complication occurred when the bank's appraisal came in lower than the contract price. The buyer demanded we lower our price to the appraisal price. When we refused the realtor threatened saying that we had to pay the buyer's expenses. Kevin was able to get the buyer to get back to the contract price and close the deal.

We found Kevin Ramos on Angies List and were impressed with his "A" ratings. He did not disappoint! He is SO knowledgeable about the "who, what and where" of the real estate market in Albuquerque NM.. He recommended a variety of skilled people who we met with and selected to perform repairs (roofers, painters, plumbers, carpet installers, handymen etc). This was a huge help for us because we had limited experience in locating excellent/honest contractors. All of the paperwork processes (listing contract and approval of the final buyer contract) were done via email and the technology was easy. We highly recommend that you contact Kevin to sell your home!

Kevin was very responsive and a meeting at the house was arranged quickly. He gave us some really good feedback on the house and had arrived with recent comps in the area. After a tour of the house, we sat down and Kevin went over the area comps and what he thought we could list our house on the high and low end. We thought he was great; very friendly and enthusiastic but also up front about everything. We ultimately decided to stay in our house and Kevin was very gracious about not listing. When we are ready to sell our house, we will call Kevin and look forward to working with him in the future! We would highly recommend him!

We are military and, as always, had to begin our search from a distance. We cold called Kevin and he impressed with his knowledge of the area, relationship with USAA and familiarity with the needs of a military mover. He began by sending potential listings based on criteria that we provided. When we arrived he met us immediately and spent two full days with us house shopping. This was driven by our time crunch. Finally, through the process he made every effort to accelerate the process where he could. He was a great advocate. I was very impressed with his honesty. There were several houses that we considered that would have been easier to close than the foreclosure we settled on. He provided unbiased input on the area, sell-ability, and closing time. Great experience. Use him if you are a military mover.

My husband and I wanted to purchase a new home. We decided on a neighborhood of brand new homes. We are first time home buyers and we didn't really have much knowledge of how to go about it. We didn't even know that an agent could help represent us on the sale of new construction, but Kevin was highly recommended to us so we gave him a call. We were very fortunate to find Kevin, he helped us so much. He coordinated everything for us throughout the process and was able to keep the builder on schedule so that we could move in on time. During our final walk through of the home Kevin pointed out to the builder that they had not caulked the fascia and soffits around the entire house. We would never have even noticed that it had not been done! Kevin had the builder complete the work before closing and saved us a lot of time and money from not having to do that down the road or risk damage to our new home. We are very thankful for all of Kevin's hard work, knowledge and patience with us. I will make sure and use Kevin if we ever need to buy or sell again and I've already told my friends and family about him. Thanks Kevin!

He was prompt with getting the sign up in the front yard. Also he took pictures quickly and placed them on his web site as well as many other sites. When we were having to deal back and forth with the buyer, he was quick with all the details. He listened to us without trying to overwhelm us with details and let us make the decisions without any high pressure tactics.

We have sold other houses in the past (with different agents) and never have had a transaction go smoother than this one, thanks to Kevin and his efforts. Considering to-days market Kevin generated a phenomenal amount of traffic. He seems to know what it takes to sell a house and do it fast.. He went over and above just listing the place. Selling a house is stressful, especially since we don't live in ABQ, but Kevin was very understanding and enormously helpful. We highly recommend Kevin . I was the loan officer on a transaction where Kevin was representing the buyer. She was a lovely woman but I'm confident he must have showed her 100 homes. Over a period of many months he wrote up several offers. A couple of them fell through for various reasons but he stuck with her and eventually helped her find her dream home. He was calm and persistent and gave her excellent advise. He is a very professional real estate agent and I refer my buyers to him with confidence that he will take care of them.
