Description of Work: After contacting the people you recommended I decided to go with John Rochette and I am delighted I did. He cost less than anyone else I contacted, was the ONLY ONE willing to come that same day and despite the fact my dishwasher is over 10 years old, he was able to get it going that very day!!!! I would give him an A+! The other thing I am excited about is the fact he can do MANY OTHER things for me so the next time I have any problem I know I can call him and he will come help me!!! It is WONDERFUL! I waited a few days to write this review because I wanted to make sure my dishwasher kept running.

Description of Work: John services my swamp cooler semi-annually. He's also repaired my dishwasher, ice maker, installed toilets and done occasional plumbing jobs. He also deweeded my back yard one year. He offers a variety of services. He does a great job, is very congenial and outgoing, and he doesn't encourage customers to replace expensive items if he can repair them for less. I've hired him for many years and continue to like doing business with him. Occasionally he has arrived somewhat later than scheduled, but it has always been because the customer ahead of me had something that took longer than was planned or anticipated. That's the only "B" on his "A" record.

Description of Work: John was very professional and honest about the cost of labor and materials. The job |was fixing my downstairs toilet. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends. |I called a lot of other providers and John's prices are the most reasonable.

Description of Work: re-install dishwasher following new countertop install. Install undemount sink and associated plumbing. Install dishwasher.

Description of Work: install new garbage disposal, faucet, and drain pluming for new sink and counter top. John worked with me very well as I was delayed by my counter top installers. Also re-installed dishwasher. If you get granite counter tops, Your dishwasher will have to be connected on the sides.

Description of Work: I left a phone message with John's Plumbing and Handyman services on Monday. The call was returned promptly and an appt scheduled for Wednesday. John arrived within the window of time he quoted me. He assessed the situation and went promptly to work. He fixed my loose bathroom faucet and showed us how to fix it in the future. He installed our grab bar for us and told us we only had one stud where we wanted to mount the bar. He and my husband agreed to mount a board to the wall to distribute the weight. It worked beautifully! We will definately use him again!

Description of Work: John has been out on two occasions to my new home: to install a bidet toilet (required setting up electrical connection) and putting in a ceiling fan where there was no easy access to electricity. He has done a good job, has fair prices & is willing to do other small jobs while here (fixed leaking faucet). I would definitely recommend him. He has been later than expected, but calls to say he is running longer on another job but since I schedule him for days when I am working from home, that is not a problem for me.

Description of Work: Came within two hours of call - very important to me as I had an active water leak out of my ceiling. Diagnosed my first floor ceiling leak as an improperly-installed toilet on second floor. Repaired very carefully, quickly and reasonably priced.

Description of Work: Toilet was making noise and dripping water inside. Had not had any maintenance in many years and I'm sure was much over due. John replaced 2 parts and explained what had to be done. He had to buy the parts but was not gone very long at all. It now works like a charm. Also had a problem with installing a flag holder(it was for a very large flag). He found a part in his truck that when attached I was able to use the existing one already welded in place for a much smaller flag. That was a big one as flying the American flag is very important to us. Thanks so much John.

Description of Work: Removed a built-in electric stove and built-in dishwasher, applied caulking to all seams (as an ant barrier), and replaced the appliances.

Description of Work: He came out when we were trying to re-tile a hearth piece.

Description of Work: John lit the pilot on my very old floor furnace. The pilot was stuck, so I couldn't do it myself.

Description of Work: Removed water damaged plaster wall sections. Replaced with drywall, used various types of mud to try and match the old plaster finish.

Description of Work: John repaired and textured several areas of drywall.

Description of Work: John patched two holes in our drywall, replaced the hardware on our front door, hung an awkward and heavy piece of art, and fixed the front door so it no longer sticks.
