He was prompt and responsive. His solution was adequate, but not excellent. His price was fair. It still moves a little bit, but I can work with it alright. He was very pleasant to work with.

John was very nice. He came out to provide an estimate for a dog door installation but after further inspection, we were unable to have it installed. I would use him for other services in the future.

Did not hire based on high quote

I was very impressed when I called that he knew I had someone doing tile/grout work here before I even told him when I said my kitchen sink was clogged. He said the tilers had washed their hands and tools and the thinset had hardened into a concrete like material and blocked my sink. He came and fixed it, was very pleasant and very knowledgable.

I was very pleased. He tackled the pluming problems quickly and needed just a quick trip to Home Depot for parts. He was thorough and gave me some advice about some other projects that I could do myself. I was very happy with the service and will definitely call him again.

John was pretty close on his estimate. he quoted 4 hours and it ended up taking 5. He had no idea what the materials cost would be when he quoted but thought maybe $50. The materials total was around $63. and the leftover paneling was left for me. He did an excellent job.

After trying 3 other plumbing businesses who would not respond to my urgent need, John came over within an hour and took care of the problem very expertly.

John is very diligent and finds a way to make things work -- the true meaning of "handyman" in my mind. He also works fast.

In a sentence -- he has proved unreliable. I invited John to my home to provide an estimate for window installation and installation of a new gas water heater. He arrived as scheduled and after the visit promised to provide an estimate by email. After a week passed without communication I contacted him by telephone. He initially could not remember the job, but eventually said he had decided the window installation was outside of his ability and was going to contact a friend. I cancelled the window offer, and asked him for a price for the has heater. He offered a quote that I tentatively accepted, once I had a chance to review his license and bond. He promised to email me that information in a timely manner he agreed to but has failed to do so.

When my battery operated water alert device sounded its alarm, I discovered that the humidifier (installed 5 months earlier) was leaking from the drain valve. After trying unsuccessfully to obtain a replacement part under warranty either directly from the manufacturer or from the company that sold the humidifier to me, I finally got the manufacturer's rep to call John and authorize him to pick up a replacement part from a local plumbing supply distributor, The manufacturer told John the part number (the same number as shown in my owners manual) but didn't tell him that part had been discontinued and replaced with a similar (hopefully more reliable) part with a different part number. I discovered this change by checking the manufacturer's web site for the replacement part. Before John went to get the part I let him know that there were two numbers for the same part. As it turned out the original part number was no longer listed in the local distributor's database. As John had written down the second part number he was able to avoid an unnecessary delay in getting the correct part. John had to pay $75 for the part, but didn't charge me for it as he was to be reimbursed from the distributor when he returned the defective part within a limited time frame. John called me the same morning to try to install the part but I wasn't home. The next evening he called and said he could come over within 15 minutes and put it in. He arrived promptly, and did the difficult repair (due to confined space limitations) in less than an hour. He also noticed the outgoing steam pipe was loose and tightened that to improve humidifier operation. He tested the unit after the repair to make sure there were no leaks. John charged me only for the hour in my home and nothing to pick up or return the defective part. He provides prompt service and does great work at a very reasonable price ($50/hr + tax). I highly recommend him for a wide range of plumbing, painting, and home handyman issues, as he has successfully provided these services for me in the past.

John's work has been very professional and he is easy to work with. He throughly cleans up after compling the task. I will definitely use his services again.

We have not had any issues with any of the 3 drains he worked on. He was on time, good at his job, and very helpful when asked about other projects we have going on in our house.

He really knows that he is doing. He does the job completely. He comes when he says he is going to come.

He did an excellent job and did what he was supposed to do. He did a great job. He had to do some improvising and he was he was able figure everything out.

The price and the job were very good. They weren't very punctual or professional.

The garbage disposal clogged and would not work. John Rochette had recently installed an undersink water filter for us, so we called and left a message to see when he might be able to come out and take a look. John's office returned the call within 30 minutes and scheduled at time for him to come later in the day. John called to ask some questions about the garbage disposal and determined that it needed to be replaced. John brought a new disposal with him when he came to the house. He determined that the clogs were being caused by the way the drain line had been installed, so he made a trip to the building supply store to get additional parts, rebuilt the drain line, and installed the new disposal. This all occurred on a Saturday, and we were very pleased that John was able to come out that very day to make this repair and still charge an exceptionally reasonable price for his services.

I called and left a message for John and received a call back within one hour. John was able to meet my scheduling needs and called when he was on his way. John spent a total of about 5 hours installing the under-sink water filter and the pet door. I had purchased both items and he installed them. John was thoroughly professional, courteous, and friendly. He did an excellent job and I plan to call him again in the future for similar projects. I highly recommend John's Plumbing and Handyman Services.

I contacted the contractor for pipe repair and damage to drywall. We made an appointment for 12:30 p.m. on a Monday, and took off a half day of work to meet him. After I left work for the day, I noticed he had called my cell phone and asked to postpone the estimate until the end of the day when he finished another job. I accommodated. He eventually came that evening (about 5:30), looked at the job and gave a very reasonable cost estimate and scope of work. He called his home office to find out what his schedule was like, and he said he could perform the work the following day. He said he had one job he had to finish, and he would be at my home as soon as he cleaned up after that job. I gave him my business card and asked him to call me when he was about an hour from making it to my home. I was going to take time off of work again to meet him to do the job. I never got a call...at work, at home, or on my cell phone. I heard nothing, not even a courtesy message to tell me he would not be able to make it. It's a good thing I didn't take off work with the expectation that he would be there. As I write this, it is 6:30 p.m. the day he was supposed to do the work, and there is still no word from this contractor. Update: The contractor eventually called at 8:00 p.m. to say the time just got away from him. That was the explanation...and quot;...time just got away.and quot; So in my mind, it was probably one of three things: 1) The jobs I had planned weren't important to him; 2) he underestimated the level of effort the other job would take (which means he could have underestimated my jobs - making it cost more money that I planned or budgeted for); and/or 3) He found other job/jobs to do instead of mine.

Overall John does a fine job with just about anything he tackles. I would recommend his services to anyone.

We were quite pleased. Very neat and came right away.

The service was good. He was very reasonable. He had to come back because there was a little problem. He came back the same day and got everything working. I would use him again in the future if I needed to.

He was very good across the board. He was willing to come up with clever solutions to my plumbing problems rather than just replacing everything.

Said he would be at the job site at 9am. Called and said he would be a little late. Came at 9:15. The job took 1 hr and 15 min. Work was completely satisfactory. Good job at a good price.

I'd started to put together all pieces and ran into problems, since I'm not very handy at things like this. I wasn't able to get the doors on the sideboard to fit properly, and had gotten a cam stuck in bedroom chest. I'd called Handyman Connections, but Michael was awful when he came. He said the cam couldn't be removed, and the sideboard would never fit right. He refused to do the job, and after calling them again, they said I'd never be happy with the work and they wouldn't do it. That was devastating. I thought I'd ruined the 1 piece and would have to return the other. I looked back on the list, and called John, hoping a 1-man operation might be better. John turned out to not just be better, but wonderful! Within minutes, he'd reassured me that the problems could be solved...the doors would take some maneuvering, but could match up. He laughed that the other man said the cam couldn't be removed...he tugged a little at the pieces and they came apart! Then he worked straight through except to go get a replacement peg on the entertainment system that was missing. Not finding the right size, he came back with a dowel and made his own. He didn't want to leave me with the system laying on the floor, taking up a lot of space. While he worked, he answered my questions and and gave suggestions. John is a great worker, creative in solving problems and on top of that a really nice guy! I will gladly call him when the rest of my furniture arrives and when I need things hung.

He gave me a good price. He had a very detailed invoice, although handwritten; every nut and bolt used was mentioned in the invoice. His final price was lesser than the estimate that he had given me. He did a good job.
