Frist, I must apologized to the good folks at Goodrich roofing. I've had a rough time recovering from spinal cord surgery since the roof was done which prevented me from sitting for periods of time in front of the computer. Unfortunately, I will have to repeat the surgery and have additional work done to fix my spinal cord. All of my bill paying has been automatic, so using the computer over the last year has been very limited. That said, I like to the Salesman Ron, the Customer Support manager Dave made the installation go very smoothly. The job as completed in one day. There was one issue that stretch the job out longer. There were two supervisors, an early morning and later iafternoon. One of the supervisors did not recognize that the color of the rain splash guard was not the color of the roofing material. It was tan to match the new color of the stucco were going to have installed this year. The manufacturer of the rain guard material also missed this fact when he/she received the order. So, the dark brown guard which was installed had to be removed and we waited about a month for the new material to arrive as well as the weather. In defense of Goodrich roofing, during the fall, they were very busy and it was hard to get a complete crew in at one time. But, everything worked out. In fact, working with the QA manager, Dave, we fixed a number of cosmetic errors and a few that I requested. The negotiation went surprising smooth. I took two pictures of every problem location. One large definition shot to show where the problem was and one very close up shot to show the problem. The QA manager and one of the owners of Goodrich Roofing were very pleasant to work with regards to fixing problems and my few change requests. I should mention this is the 4th house I've used Goodrich Roofing on; my mothers house, my wife's first house, my sister-in-law and my current house. Everyone in the family was please with the outcome of the work. A few suggestions. 1. More attention should be paid to clean up. The hardest thing to spot is nails and roof fragments during deconstruction. I believe they should make several passes over an area to increase their confidence that they got everything. You can't always rely on drop cloths. 2. The foremen who made the mistake in installing the rain gutter strips should have checked his customer special instructions on the invoice before leaving the shop so they would not have not wasted the labor of installing the wrong color and then removing it. I was in favor of just painting the metal strip, but the manufacturer wanted to incorrect material back as proof they made the mistake. 3. While the foremen's English was not bad, we did have a few communication problems. Ron came by and the problem was solved. I think someone on the crew should speak fluent English. 4. If you make any special requests, make sure the material is the correct color, size, etc. before installation. This is an instance in which I followed my own advice.. 5. Most important. Don't wait until the end of the season to have the roof replaced unless circumstanced predicate it. I procrastinated and we had to wait several weeks for the over night temperature to rise above 40 degrees Fahrenheit in order for the material to bond correctly during the job. My fault. I did get other estimates. Goodrich's estimate was in the middle of the range of estimates. But, they made some promises that the others did not and they kept their promises which in today's world is hard to find. The workers worked hard and fast and were mindful of our property; spreading drop cloths, continually policing their trash, asking us before moving trees away from the roof; bending back. Otherwise, it was a very professional installation. Any request I made of the crew in installing the turbines and the swamp cooler they were only too happy to satisfy. For instance, there were a number of places I requested more caulking, waterproofing, some of the flanges nailed down more, edges painted more "thicker" and so on. I would definitely use them again. There was some leeway in negotiating items State Farm did not cover which I greatly appreciated since money is very tight. They took very great care of us. We will definitely use them in the future without getting other estimated. They've earned our trust. We've used them over a 20 year period and very satisfied.
Description of Work: The roof was replaced, two 4x8 plywood planks were replaced, the swamp cooler was removed and reinstalled, 2 turbines were replaced, flat roof over patio was replaced, they went out of their way and helped me insure the swamp cooler was mounted square and adjustments made to fit the new roof instead of just reinstalling it, and the rain flash guard was replaced.

Took weeks before all cleanup on ground was done (gravel in flower beds, etc). Roof cleanup actually was done even later by other workmen who happened to find the mess. Several leaks occurred with the first big rain. It was a number of years (more than it should have) before all these were repaired. For the most part the service people were rude and unpleasant to deal with. The final workman, an overseer of some sort, who "cured" the serious leak was intelligent, serious and knew what to do. Would have been most helpful if such a person had ben sent out earlier.
Description of Work: Having used Goodrich for many years, in good faith the company was hired to re-roof the entire 3,000+ house on 2004, I believe.

Checking our records we found no work was preformed for (removed member name) at (removed member info) or at any other address. Reviewing the description of work and especially the dates that (removed member name) states in her report it appears that she is filing a complaint for work done in 2004 or 2012 either way we find no work performed for her. Our company policy is that we respond promptly to any clean up complaints or warranty work. Our staff is professional and courteous at all times. If (removed member name) believes she has any questions or concerns with her job I would urge her to contact our office with her Warranty information including the job number and we will respond in a timely manner to address all of her concerns.

I'm not sure where to start. Well, they replaced our leaking roof on the north side of our house. They did quality work, very good work on the roof. Other than that, horrible. Let me just say that our back yard, which is on the north side of our property, is very small, so I only have raised beds in our yard for my organic gardening. My husband was told/assured that a tarp would be put down for all of the trash/old roofing material, screws, old shingles, tar, that they sweep off of the roof before they can put the new shingles on. Needless to say, I was horrified when I look out my window to see everything swept off of the roof, and it's going into my beds! There was NO TARP that was put down. If there were, it wasn't covering much. Getting down to the nitty-gritty. I understand that it was a hot day, so I get it that they wanna go home, but they still need to be professional about it. When they cleaned up, they left bottles of their drinks on my fence, and in one of my raised beds. The worst is yet to come though. They cleaned up pretty much, but the next week, as I was preparing my raised beds for planting, I start to find MANY roof screws in the dirt, in between the beds where I walk or kneel. The thing is that I AM STILL finding 1 inch long roof screws where I walk in between the beds. Two of these screws I found by way of through my shoe sole!!! Luckily, I was wearing my aerobic thick soled tennis shoes. Each time I find one I get even more *%$#* off!. Sometimes I need to go out there in a rush, because I need to garden even with my busy schedule.. and I might be barefoot.. I'm just hoping that I've found all the screws, but even yesterday, I found another one. Anyway, sorry for my rant, but if you choose Goodrich, Please dog them a little bit, to put down that tarp, OR put down your own tarp before they get there. Otherwise, they do good work, and are nice workers. They are a bit hard to get in touch with though. They have an answering service, who takes your number & question/info, and calls one of the installers, and then he calls you. It's a little frustrating, but you can get his cell # from the installer, once he comes to your property, in order to ask him something, if you need to. Have a nice day y'all, Andrea S.

On 8/6/12012 our neighborhood experienced a hail storm of one and a half hour duration. It devastated at least a dozen roofs, including ours. While all of our neighbors had settlements from their insurance companies and repairs done in a timely manner, our insurance company said we had no roof damage. Goodrich Roofing, and especially Terry Jones, their representative, worked with us for over 8 months to finally get the ins. co. to agree to cover the cost of replacement. Terry had a huge impact on our problem and the roof was completed in 3 days. We are very pleased with their work. The crew was punctual, professional, and cleaned up every day.. We would highly recommend Goodrich Roofing.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jim Welsch at Goodrich Roofing. We found them to be the most honest and knowledgeable roofers in the Albuquerque area. They were very creative, researching our issue thoroughly and reaching out to numerous experts within their company for options that could help us avoid a total roof replacement on a nearly-brand new custom home. Goodrich identified the primary water issue localized around the door jamb and lack of a waterproof seal. Goodrich worked closely with the door installers to ensure the proper roofing water barriers were in place, even creating a custom flashing for the step out onto the patio itself. Goodrich then sealed all of the tiles with a commercial grade, colored, roof product that allowed us to extend the roofing life to match the life of the remaining larger roof so we could avoid premature replacement. Their work was excellent and performed on budget and on time, as communicated. Their creative solution saved us thousands of dollars. We will definitely call them back when it comes time to do all of our roofs. I highly recommend Goodrich Roofing to anyone in their service area!
Description of Work: We have a 3,800 square foot custom home with two outdoor roof patios off of two bedrooms. One patio is over the three car garage, the other is over a downstairs bedroom. The home originally had a TPO roofing product on the patios, that were subsequently tiled over by the builder. Over time, we started to experience water leaking through to the garage and bedroom below. We interviewed many roofers about possible solutions to this issue. The solutions recommended were numerous and ranged into the 20-30k range. We received two different bids from Goodrich, one being a replacement with a floating patio (very reasonable bid) and the other being a roofing coating to seal the existing roof and extend it's life for up to 5 years.

From the day the estimator came until the work was complete, I felt they were very attentive to my needs.
Description of Work: They tore back sheeting around the canales, applied new waterproof solution, built up the area around the canales so water would drain properly. I have had several other roofers attempt to repair my roof, and they did a very thorough job of making sure there would be no more leaks.

Goodrich arrived on time, explained the cost, and explained that they had to go to a supply store for the specific roof jack required. They returned quickly and performed the work, which looked good. No leaks have appeared in the one rain we've had since. These guys were courteous and professional in demeanor. The schedulers on the phone were also very easy to work with. In short, I'll definitely use Goodrich again. I have no complaints.

Overall experience was great! They did the job in 2 days even though the insurance company miscalculated 10 squares of shingles. Goodrich continued the job while waiting to hear from the insurance company on the rest. Also what was really cool was that they spray painted the gas pipes and others to match the color of the shingles. The color is great and looks like nobody else's in the neighborhood-its a 2-tone brown with some turquoise mixed in! Two swamp coolers had to be moved, they were put back OK. Cleanup was OK-only found 2 nails in the driveway, and few in the backyard-and they left one piece of old metal molding behind (it fell into my wood pile in backyard.) Robert, the salesman, was GREAT! He checked back several times during the construction/replacement to see how things were progressing. The roof is beautiful and I would use Goodrich again!

A man rang my doorbell to tell me I had shingles missing on the edge of my roof and offered to do a repair and other roofing services, but he didn't have a business card and gave me no way to contact him. He showed up unannounced several times until I finally told him not to contact me again as I would not deal with someone who claimed to be a roofer but who could not provide me with any contact information. A friend highly recommended Goodrich Roofing and so I immediately searched Angie's List. I called them to confirm that shingles were actually missing, and being concerned that my roof was almost 20 years old I asked them to assess the entire roof for possible replacement. Before they came out, a roof leak developed that my neighbor identified as coming from the area around the swamp cooler. It was so bad that it leaked into my bathroom ceiling above the tub with a slow but persistent drip. Apparently one edge of the swamp cooler was unbalanced at some point and the corner broke through the roofing material and caused the overflow pan to seep into it. The Goodrich rep was very responsive to my emails and arranged for the estimator to come out and see what had happened with the swamp cooler, as well as to check out the need to replace shingles or to re-do the entire roof. Estimator came out within a couple of days and I promptly received an estimate that would address the missing shingles and correct the roof leak...the roof did not require entire replacement, but they would hammer back the nails that had popped up over time! I arranged to have the work done within a couple of days of approving the estimate. The technician came out on the day and within the time window I specified and did a great job. No more missing shingles and no more roof leak! I would certainly use Goodrich Roofing again, should the need arise...they're TERRIFIC!!!

Goodrich roofing was recommended from our insurance company because I had no experience with roofers. I was a little hesitant about an unknown company, but I went with it. Chris from Goodrich was very professional and really knew his products. Chris even worked with me on getting a few extras such as an extra exhaust and skylight in the kitchen and at a very reasonable cost. His team of roofers came in about 7:30am and they were done about 3:30pm. They worked efficiently and did a great job. My roof is pretty simple, so, obviously, your time will vary, but I was very pleased it took only one day. The one hitch was that there was a miscommunication on the skylight and the workers did not put it in the first day. I called Chris and explained the situation. He was apologetic and said he would get it handled. We scheduled for them to come the next Saturday and they got it put in within an hour or so. I was very happy about the whole process and even the little hitch was handled professionally. Also, Chris is a workaholic or something. He answered his cell phone on a Friday evening. He seemed to be willing to come over almost any time. It was comforting, but I did feel bad when I had him come over on a Friday at 5pm. FYI, total cost ~ $10k = roofing plus my additions $500 out of pocket cost to me = $10K minus insurance payment.

I chose this company because of their Angie's List rating and becuase I liked how experienced the sales representative was and his assurances of a quality job. Ultimately, they did a good job but it was painful getting there. The crew doing the work seemed to disregard the work order resulting in me having to call the sales rep twice to inform him that the crew was doing something different than what we had agreed to. Everything eventually worked out fine but the job ended up taking three times as long as they estimated and I really don't know what would have happened had I not been there the whole time keeping an eye on things. An "A" for quality but a "C" for execution.

Brook from Goodrich roofing came out to give us an estimate for our wind damaged shingle roof. Goodrich was one of three roofing companies that I contacted to get an estimate. We decided to go with Goodrich because of the way Brook sold his company and his willingness to work with us and our insurance company. From start to finish Brook handled all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner and even worked on his off time to take care of some things that weren't in the original contract, but needed to get done. We also were having our air conditioning and ducting replaced prior to the roof install and Brook worked with our mechanical contractor to provide him access to our crawl space and seal the openings after the A/C and ducting were replaced. Clean up was outstanding and the roof looks great. I highly recommend using Goodrich roofing and would especially recommend Brook to anyone who has any roofing needs. Overall great experience!

Called them for estimate, and it took them about a month to give me one. Once I signed contract, made date 2 weeks after for roof to be done, they came out and did it. Did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, did what they said they would do. Hauled away old swamp cooler, didn't leave a mess. Only issue I had was when you call you get an answering service but someone always returned my call within the hour, if not sooner.I would definitely hire them again.

Contracted with Goodrich Roofing as our neighbors was using them after a hail storm. Salesman offered competitive price and contract was signed. Crew was large and worked quickly. Unfortunately they were either not skilled or well trained. Noticed when crew left and job was said to be completed that roof ridge vent was not installed as specified in contract. When billed paid 2/3rds of bill and asked that roof vent be installed as contracted for before I would pay balance. Received several threatening letters from Goodrich before they finally responded to my letters and phone calls demanding roof ridge vent be installed. Salesman reappeared and said I should have contracted him, instead of writing a letter. Crew reappeared and installed roof vent. I paid the balance of bill. Shortly after roof work was completed noticed clothes dryer was not working properly. Contacted serviceman who discovered the heating unit was burned out. Eventually traced problem to lack of vent. The dryer vent on the roof had been pushed closed and could not vent, probably when the roof installers sat on it. All of the roof vents had been crushed closed. For several years I noticed when sitting beneath a skylight that when strong wind blew that snow would settle on the back of my neck. Attributed it to warm air meeting a cold skylight. After several years I got a ladder and actually looked at the skylight from the inside, and found I could see the house next door through a gap between the shingles and the skylight base. All of the skylights had been installed on top of the shingles and were neither weather nor water tight. The solution is the removal of the skylights and reinstallation with proper regard for weather sealing. Goodrich roofing provided a 2 year warranty on workmanship and it is well past warranty expiration period so I have not contacted Goodrich.

Response from Goodrich Roofing
After reviewing this client's comments Goodrich Roofing contacted two licensed plumbing and electrical contractors. Both contractors agreed that the damage described by the client was unlikely caused by our roofers at the time of installation of the roof. They also stated that if this damage had occurred at the time of the roof installation the problems would have been evident shortly after installation or immediately. It was also unbelievable that our crew sat on each and every vent and crushed them closed. With regards to the leak at the skylight according to the Albuquerque Journal on December 20th, 2006 Albuquerque received 6" of snow in a 24 hour period also according to the National Climatic Data Center, July and August of 2006 were the wettest in New Mexico in 112 years. According to weather reports February 26, 2007 Albuquerque experienced two 100 year floods in a seven day period. In July of 2008 according to the Albuquerque Journal, Albuquerque experienced a monsoon season in the metro area. So the question is how could the client see the house next door through a gap in the shingles and skylight without having substantial water damage inside his house? If Goodrich Roofing had been notified by him that he had warranty issues Goodrich Roofing would have responded in a timely and professional manner. Goodrich Roofing maintains an A+ rating at the Better Business Bureau and maintains our Angie's List Super Service Award which is given annually to only 5% of service orientated businesses.

It went very well. Excellent. All the staff and the representatives were great. clean up. Quick. Done in a day on my split level house. The venting on the house was repainted. They did silicone sealing on the nails that hold the roof down. They discounted me about 1700. I referred.
