Description of Work: I had them replace 3 trellises attached to my house that shade a patio. I chose them because I wanted a contractor I could trust to get the job done right the first time. They did a great job, although there were mistakes that caused the project to go on longer than it should have. But their project management is excellent and reliable, and they took responsibility to get the work done correctly. The product itself is very high quality and possibly proprietary. It comes with a lifetime warranty. The only issue I have at this point is their high pressure sales tactics. When they come to give you an estimate, the numbers are presented in 2 categories: the price of the job, and the price of the job if you contract for the work on the spot. Of course the numbers are very different, leaving one with a feeling that it absolutely must be agreed upon on the spot--because the lower number goes away when the salesman leaves you house. No time to think about it, no chance to get other bids. I subsequently had them give me an estimate for a re-stucco on my house. Same process. At first I took the deal, but when the financing didn't come through it gave me time to think about it and do some checking. Turns out their LOW number was astronomically high. That made me not trust them and wonder how much I overpaid for the trellises. Beware of this tactic. Do your homework and use them only knowing that you know your numbers already. It will be a beautiful project, but it's gonna cost you.

Description of Work: Contacted this compAny to get a quote. Had to answer basic info questions (name, address, phone). Told a designer would make a home visit and bring brochures, tAke measurements, prepare a quote. Wonderful, right? No, because compAny will not show up unless all family members making the purchase decision are available for the appointment. I explained I was simply beginning the process to figure out costs and what I want done, asking if an appointment could be scheduled for a time when my husband was at home. I was told no appointment could be made with just my husband because if I wasn't available for the appointment I might have questions thAt would have to be asked and answered at a later time. I was then given a spiel about their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. I confirmed I they would not make an appointment with just my husband and said if that's the case I'd take my business elsewhere. It seems obvious to me that they want both decision Lakers available for the appointment because they are going to do a hArd sell; wanting to get a contract signed before you can change your mind. I asked to speak to manager and was told there isn't one. This compAny seems shady to me.

Description of Work: Installed 2 windows and 2 sets of french doors. Also repaired the stucco around windows flawlessly.

Description of Work: Windows, doors are basically very nice; At first good response to problems, later changed to another contact who refused to repair outer glass pane of door that shattered. Bathroom employees took away all fixtures got scared and left location when storm was predicted.Tile was poorly done had to get another to complete. Little response after the fact. Question about total charge.

Description of Work: I had a leak in the add on they built for me a year or two ago. They sent someone out to fix. No charge. I will not be able to tell if it is totally fixed until it rains a lot again. That is the only time it leaks but Peter seemed to know exactly what to do to fix it.

Description of Work: replace floor to ceiling windows in family room; Renewal by Anderson windows are a pricey but worth the extra cost. I am completely happy with the replacement windows. They are solid windows, well insulated and tinted.

Description of Work: They replaced our windows. They have done a great job. When there was an issue, they were very willing to correct it and they were willing to adjust the cost and work as needed.

Description of Work: I had two doors installed. The installation was not the quality I expected. The strip that was added to the bottom of the dining room door was in two pieces and did not match in color, or in height. The bedroom french door is heavy and has to be re-adjusted at least once per month. The same door has a gap between the two doors of almost an inch in some places and the lock components can be seen - I have been told by other contractors who have worked on my house that the gap should not be more than about 1/4". I have called Renewal by Anderson about this and they have come out and adjusted the bedroom door, however, did not offer to work on the gap - although I pointed it out to them. I will call them again and show photos and see if they respond. If they fix the issues, I will consider doing business with them again, however, I do not anticipate this will happen.
