They have done work for us more than once. Last year they put in all new windows in the front. They also opened up a window a few weeks ago and turned it into a sliding glass door. They definitely are a reputable company. They do good work with good quality. It is a little expensive though, but you get what you pay for. They will also be putting in a sun room for us later this year! The windows that we have gotten last spring has really served us well, regarding weather wise; we can tell a difference.

They rebuild framing and removed the wall below the window. They also did the plaster too. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They did the work in high quality. They also accepted last minute changes in the order as well. All of this was done in one full day to get the door in and sealed. It took the 2nd day to get the inside framing work done. Then the 3rd day they did the outside framing work and the stucco work done. Instead of doing all this work in one day, they did the work in 3 days. The sealing was done in one day and that was important to us, because it was cold outside. The sales guy was pushy, but the salesman was very good at compiling all the discounts I could get in that day. He and his supervisor were both understanding when we re-corrected the order. The bid was high, but that estimated included EVERYTHING. That included buying the window and they also repainting to match the existing exterior. They worked with 3 other contractors and the end result was fabulous.
Description of Work: They turned a window into an doorway and then installed a french door.

They did very good work. They did window replacement for us. They replaced 7 windows. I think 3 workers came out and it took them 1 day to complete. Scheduling was all very good. They came on time and did the job that they came out to do. They did a great job and the windows are a great quality. We felt the difference this winter. They are a bit pricey, but the windows are good quality as I have mentioned before.

The service turned out great. We won’t use anyone else. We have plaster walls in Santa Fe. They came in and went above and beyond; and they made sure that there was no damage either. It was very seamless and you couldn't tell that they are different windows, from the outside, but you could tell from the inside. They kept the historical integrity. They are double pained and are now easy to open. We were impressed with the installation. They have very high quality windows that we purchased from them.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They took the check that I gave them as partial payment and didn't follow up for quite some time. When I called to ask them about the delay, they informed me that the two men I dealt with were no longer with the company and sent a manager out to discuss the matter. The gentleman was apologetic and later sent people out to do the work, but the process was plagued with miscommunication and incorrect orders. Ultimately, I received a product that was made of plastic instead of ceramic and cast iron, and the only saving grace is that it looks decent and was installed well.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the gap in communication. With the unexpected departure of the representative who visited your home shortly after your consultation, there was an unacceptable delay in processing your project. I am glad that we were able to remedy the situation upon discovering it, and that we were able to offer you free towel bars in your bathroom as a token of our appreciation for your patience. Though you have not yet had time to update your review, I am grateful that you reported you were satisfied with our company and your project in our last conversation. The quality of the windows and door were fine, but the installation was poorly done and followup conducted only when we complained about poor installation. Even though company a representative came to our house and saw the poor installation, no corrective actions have never been done. The major problems involved the damage to living room tile by the sliding glass door and the poor stucco work around the new windows. We would never recommend Renewal by Anderson even though they provide a very good product.

The salesman that came to give the quote seemed like a nice enough guy. However, I was not prepared for the slick and nasty sales tactics he pulled on me. Anyway, it was the first sales guy that came to give me a quote on new windows for my house. He measured all the windows and told me why Anderson windows were so great. He worked up a price and gave me a "big discount". Then he wanted me to sign then and there. I said I wanted to think about it, and he said that there was no way I'd get this price again, and some other magic words and quite a lot of pressure, and before I knew what had happened, I had signed. To this day I still can't figure out how he tricked me into doing it. Although I know it mainly comes down to not having experienced a slick dirty nasty salesman before. Anyway, I got another quote the next day from another company for less than half as much with the exact same warranty from a much more pleasant and honest fellow. I immediately went online and discovered that I had 3 days to break the contract. I went to the Renewal by Anderson office and met with the sales guy that visited my home earlier. He became very upset and tried to convince me that I was the one doing something wrong by backing out. "We had a deal! You signed a contract! I have to make a living at this. You are taking away money from my family!" Crap like that. Wow. I guess I still wasn't totally immune to his BS because for some reason I agreed to amend the contract to have them install one window (the big one). I went with the other company for the remaining windows. Anyway, I highly recommend that you do not even contact this company. If you do, be sure to get other quotes FIRST. And DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING. Don't fall for the whole, "you have to sign now or you'll never get this deal again" BS. If they want your business, you can be sure you can get the same deal a week later. Seems obvious, but these sales guys have some sort of demon powers of persuasion. You've been warned. Now as far as the actual install, I have no complaints. The workers did a good job and were pleasant enough. The window is attractive and appears to be high quality (not double the price high though). Although the frame is massively thick, which reduces glass area significantly. But, really, I have no real complaints about the window or the install. Just the price and the nasty sales tactics. By the way, I have a friend who had the exact same experience. So consider this review as counting double!

I originally scheduled an appointment for an estimate, and at the last moment had a personal emergency (health issue) that needed immediate attention; this happened about the time the person showed up at my door. He was insistent that we continue, and then got belligerent when I said I had to leave. He went so far as to ask me, in a rather probing voice, "What is your personal emergency that we can't do this today?" I was shocked. I told him he could walk around the house to see the windows if he liked, and he said that would not be enough and that I needed to schedule at least 90 minutes for the appointment. At that point I told him I would call the office later. I apologized for the last-minute cancellation (really bad timing), and thought he would never leave. I did not like his behavior, and thought it was quite unprofessional.

Installation went very well. We had three windows of relatively uncommon shape that were a custom fit. The windows fit perfectly and were installed without any problems. All-in-all, we had over 30 windows replaced in 4 increments. There were ups and downs in the process and we did have a couple of windows that were not the right size, but there were some extenuating circumstances. We also had one individual installer that had a personal issue that resulted in a few problems that needed to be corrected. Bottomline for us is that all issues we had were handled in a timely manner and fixed completely to our satisfaction with no questions asked. Installing heavy replacement windows is not easy and things happen like an edge getting dinged around the window opening. Renewal took care of everything and that is what matters to us.

The initially quoted price of approximately $7999, for repair of the existing stucco only, was quite high compared to others - he said he would guarantee this price for 30 days. He also provided a quote for a complete re-stucco of $10,136 which he said he would guarantee for 12 months - that was also higher than other estimates. The estimate for the fascia and soffit replacement was an additional $2250. He then offered a "one-time" special price of approximately $5500 for the repair option, using the old "just to keep his crew working" justification, and good only if we signed the contract that evening. He also agreed he could include replacement of the fascia & soffit, for a total package price of $7000. The "special" price was still high in comparison to others. He repeatedly stated the reduced price was only good until he walked out of the front door, and what a great deal it was. I was put off by his pressuring me to take the deal, and I told him I appreciated the offer, but I just needed to think about it for a while. He couldn't understand why I didn't jump at the reduced price, and asked what else he could do to get me to sign the contract that night, He mentioned he didn't want to sound like a used car salesman, which was exactly what he was doing. I told him I didn't do business that way, that I preferred to think about it for a little while before committing that amount of money. I asked him if he would leave me a written estimate for the 30 day and 12 month guaranteed prices. He told me I would be sorry I didn't take the reduced price, and he handed me a piece of notebook paper - it had his name and 2 numbers written on it, representing the 2 stucco options. I generally do not trust anyone who uses high pressure sales techniques, and I try to avoid doing business with anyone who uses those tactics. Additionally, any business which cannot offer a binding written estimate, including the terms and conditions as well as the price, appears so unprofessional that I would not trust them to properly complete any work they agreed to. This may have just been an aggressive salesman who did not accurately represent the business philosophy of the company, but It is the only "face" of the company which I have seen, and it was one which did not favorably impress me. We decided to use Cardinal Construction. They installed our new windows, and proved to be a professional organization, offering a quality product for a reasonable price. They will provide the stucco repair, as well as fascia and soffit replacement, for a total price of $5466.

Hi [member name removed], While we do not require that all homeowners are present at the initial consultation, we do highly recommend it. Renewal by Andersen provides state-of-the-art, custom made windows and doors, and there are many aspects of our products that require explanation from an expert, ranging from the way gases are calibrated between the window panes depending on the elevation of your home to the functionality of our patented Fibrex material. In order to serve our customers most effectively, we have found that having our window representative meet with both homeowners to fully explain our products and answer any subsequent questions ensures our prospective customers are fully informed before making a significant home purchase decision. Thank you for your feedback! Sincerely, Dawn Dewey Marketing Director ddewey@dreamstyleremodeling.com

Last fall, probably in September or October, I called Renewal by Andersen of Albuquerque to see if they do installations in Farmington. (This was after calling several contractors in town to install a Home Depot or Lowe's door, who either weren't available for several weeks, or didn't want to bother with such a small job). Andersen said, yes, they come up here at least once a month. I asked to have them give me estimates on replacing 4 sliding glass doors next time they're in the area, which the lady I spoke with thought would be in 2-3 weeks. Today, Jan. 29, I received a call saying they would be up in this area "soon" (first call I've had since the initial call over 3 months ago) and wanted to know what I needed at what addresses. After explaining that I have 3 homes (I already replaced the glass door on one of them), all about 7-8 years old, and that they each needed a new sliding glass door, she started back-peddling, reminding me their windows are all "custom made" and most people would not want to invest that kind of money in a rental. She seemed disappointed that I was not replacing all the windows in all the homes. When I asked that she contact the tenant directly for scheduling the estimate, she said they don't like to get in between the tenant and the landlord. (I have all my service people work directly with the tenant so they can set up a time convenient to the two of them - it doesn't involve me). She then said she would have to go talk to her boss to see if they could do this. She or her boss was to call me right back - no one ever called me back. I have no idea what their doors cost, but they could have had the courtesy to give me some ballpark figures to see if it was totally out of my price range. I maintain very nice rental properties and don't hesitate to spend money to see they stay that way. Too many business owners misjudge individuals as to what they think a customer can afford. That's not their job to decide! The first of the four I finally had Sun Glass do here in Farmington. They will get all my work in the future as another glass company here promised to go out the afternoon I called him, and I never heard from him again, either! It amazes me that these companies can stay in business with such poor customer service! It must be nice to be able to be so independent!
Description of Work: No work was ever performed. I couldn't even get them to return my call.

Luxury Bath installed a new tub that was cracked. Because it was not easy to see it was undetected until its first use. It then became a question of who was responsible for correcting the problem. Jacuzzi customer service Megan Davis was not helpful in any way. She would not return calls and did not tell the truth regarding the status of correcting the problem. Other attempts to get status from other members of the support team were unsuccessful. They would promise return calls or e-mails but never follow through. The problem languished for weeks before someone finally showed up to inspect the damaged tub and recommended replacement rather than repair. (I had declined repair from the beginning.) Luxury Bath then took responsibility and started action to correct the problem which they did. While I believe Luxury Bath could have been more aggressive in pressing the Jacuzzi people, they did the right thing and resolved the problem. My decision to not recommend this company rests with the unsatisfactory response of their supplier, Jacuzzi not Luxury Bath. The same for the responsiveness. I believe that Luxury Bath is a good company that has the integrity to do the right thing. In this case things went wrong with the cracked tub and an unresponsive supplier.

The installers were very professional and answered all of our questions. They cleaned up after themselves and even washed the windows before they left. It took 2 days for the installation and the 3rd day a guy came in and painted around the inside. He was also professional although we had to go out and buy paint for him. I could have done the painting myself. Here are the problems: The salesman told us so many lies, but that is what sells the product and then you deal with it later. He talked me into frosted windows in the bathroom, said I would still see out of them. WRONG, and now I lost my view, unless I want to spend more money to replace with clear glass. I am so disappointed with these windows for the money we spent. The only good thing, the reason we need to replace our windows, is that they no longer leak when it rains. The bad things - lost a good portion of my windowsills, our utility bills are higher than last year, the windows should be room temp on the inside, they are cold, they did not cut down on the traffic noise, and there was so much leaking that there was more sand on the inside than I had with the old windows. I did call about the leaking and they sent someone out to put "enhancements" on the windows. The leaks are fixed, but this should have been done in the beginning instead of taking another day from our schedule to have this completed. We have a townhome rental and we used another company for those windows and all the bad things with Andersen, we don't have those issues with the townhome windows (cut utility bills, eliminated street noise and did not take away from windowsills). We have 5 more windows and a sliding glass door that were not replaced. Andersen knows this and because they need the business for the winter to keep workers busy, they continually call us. Our third call from them was last week. The guy would not take no for an answer. When I finally hung up on him, he called my husband. I wasn't at home and my husband did not know I talked to him. Well a saleman and installer foreman came out the next day. They still would not take no for an answer and the incentives offered were no better than the estimate we received from the first salesman in Jan. After 2 hours we finally got these guys out of our house so I could make my husband dinner and get to an appt I had. We will never use these people again and we will use another company for the remaining windows. And if Andersen ever calls us again we will let them know the windows have been replaced by someone else. $26,000 is a lot of money and the only incentive that they should be offering us is a free sliding glass door.

The whole process when well overall.
Description of Work: We had five windows and one sliding door installed in June 2012. We were very happy with the sales person; he was knowledgeable and saved us a lot of time in making our selection of types of windows. We anticipated to wait of four to six weeks while the windows were constructed, but within two weeks they were here and ready to install. The installers arrived on time, were very professional and finished early. We had to have them come back and seal around the bottom of the sliding door and put down a threshold. There was a small gap at the bottom and a garden snake found his way into the house. Good thing we like snakes. That repair happened quickly and professionally. Over all it was a good experience and have recommended them to two of our neighbors.

The experience was shaped by the guy who came to my house to give the estimate. In fact, I visited the showroom later and wanted to give this feedback to the owners but no one contacted me. The guy's tactic was to say that since my husband was not present, he knew that I would not be calling him back. I guess this was supposed to prompt some commitment to call him on my part. Then, it took many days to get the estimate. He said he was traveling. When the estimate came, it was completely un-itemized. Just a bulk figure for "what we talked about." There was further back and forth, but we chose to go with Pella, instead.

My experience with their service was well. They came out determined what had to be done and gave me a quote. I got quotes from two other companies. I thought I could get better quality with Renewal. The installation went well. I just recently had the house re-stuccoed and I either misunderstood or they misidentified what they were doing in terms of framing the window when they took it out because I was under the impression that they could just take the stucco back to the original box but in the installation they had to put a two inch strip all the way around the window in order to cover the cracks and things like that. It looks all right. It is just not what I expected when I got it stuccoed. The price was good. I probably would use them again in the future because I was satisfied with the job.

They were professional and reasonably priced. Their quality was good. We are satisfied with the job, two years later. They did everything they said they would. We spent about $13000 for their services. We compared their price with other companies, but every window was different.
Description of Work: Renewal by Anderson replaced seven windows and installed new windows for us about two years ago.

Estimating experience was so poor that we didn't even consider Renewal By Anderson.
Description of Work: Requested a quote from Renewal by Anderson for a big window replacement job. Windows are beautiful and I'm sure of great quality. Estimating process was a bit painful though. Didn't appreciate the hard sell and all the time spent bad mouthing the other guys.
