Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Albuquerque

Since this was the first time we had ever had the windows changed in any of our homes we were not sure what to expect. A couple days before the expected arrival of the crews we took down all the window covering and blinds. These guys were way better than we expected in assuring that the interior of our home did not get any of the dust/dirt from their removing the frames, so much so that as each frame was removed the guy on the inside of the home held a vacuum up along the frame as every inch was pulled loos. They even removed the glass in each window first so as not to have any broken glass fall on the ground. None of the glass from any window broke. Obviously these guys have done this before because they had a system and method as to what to do first, etc. We had 14 windows replaced so we figured that it would take a couple days to get them all done. NOPE !! They had them all done at the end of a long day. The windows were all sealed with a foam product so as to eliminate any future air leaks form the inside and outside. The trim work on the inside was done with such precision you'd have thought they were surgeons. Very precise and neat. When they left that evening all of the old windows and frames were gone. There was no sign that they had even been there. Since we had them install new trim over our old window frames--an additional option --they came back the next day and finished up by covering all old frames, thus saving me the work of ever having to paint them again. I cannot say enough about these crews professionalism, working together and courteous answers and suggestions to our questions.. I would highly recommend this company for window/door replacement any time.

That turned out really well. I could tell a big difference. It took them one day and they were fast. They did a post inspection after the installation as well about 3 weeks later; They planned to come out 2 weeks after, but we were on vacation. The results were great. They were here on time and finished in about 5-6 hours; when initially they told us it would be the whole day. They helped me do some side work too and they were a great work with. About 4 years ago we purchased a back patio door with them too, so that is why we went back to them. We could tell a big deference with the installation. I am head of the home owners association and we have recently added them to our list of recommended vendors.

Overall we were satisfied. They are still not officially done, because they ordered the wrong hardware. They were courteous, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. From beginning to end they were good to work with and we are just fine tuning left.

Their product is incredible. There was a different story from the sales person and the manufacture. I was told that it would be a of couple weeks, but it was past a month before they came out to do the installation. The manager told my husband that he left voice messages, but he didn’t. He also hung up on him too. We still kept calling and they finally scheduled a time. They got the windows and door installed and the clean-up was good. The door was special made; it took longer than expected. We then had trouble with the door locking; They were true their word. After we called them, the manager, Chris, arranged the schedule and they came out right away. He understood and filed down the lock as he mentioned. They were responsive to that issue. The windows look good and the door is study. They were expensive, but we were very impressed with their sales guy, Dan and he was great. Dan also got things moving to get the windows and door installed as soon as possible.

I love them and they are high quality. I picked them out and they custom made them. They came in and did the measuring for the 4 doors and a patio door. It took them about 6 weeks to custom make and build the doors; It is pricey, but worth the quality. They were also great workers who were on time.

I can already tell a difference as far as energy and dust. It took them one day to change out the windows. The next day they came out to do all of the caulking and cleaning up. They stayed all day and even worked late; I was impressed with them. They did an excellent job. They also installed a fabulous screen door. I look forward to having them do French Doors in my other home too. They did the work quickly they were ho were very meticulous. I wished Angie’s List would let They were expensive, but they are well worth the price and they have a lifetime guarantee.

That turned out really well. They brought another installer to make sure they could complete the job the same day. The quality is excellent and even on the same day that they finished the job, in the late afternoon, you could tell the insulation made quite a difference. After the job they came out and followed up with the job. The salesman made sure there were no problems. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The windows came with a life time warranty too.

It went well and we like the windows. They showed up when they said they would. They are expensive, but the price was competitive with other companies.

It was an excellent experience. They were very dependable. We took bids on our little project. They came in at the lowest and they said what they were going to do, when they were going to do it and they did it.. We were very pleased with the product. They came and they inspected the project and made sure we were pleased. They followed up. It was a very satisfactory experience.

Installers were on time, completed the job in time estimated. Clean up excellent.

They were fine and we didn't have any problems.

It worked out beautifully. They did all of the windows and doors in my house. They were specialty doors. They are metal and are wood colored. I have dividing windows. We are very happy with the work that they did. We want them to come back and do a storm door for our front door. They were very expensive, but we have no buyer’s remorse. Every window has a screen. They have a double locking system. The salespeople Doug and Loraine were wonderful. The price included everything. If we break a window, they will come out and fix it. If we sell the house and the new owners break a window, they call Champion and they will come out and fix it. The price was as expected. We called them and they were here. I liked the installers, they did wonderful work. They were here when they said they would be. I will use them again.

The doors are beautiful and high quality, just what was promised. However, it took 2 months longer to get the job done than we were initially told. The timing was not an issue for us, we would have used them whenever they could get it done. We would have preferred if they told us up front though how long it would take.

Could not have been better. There was one small ding in a wall. By the time I got to telling the installer not to worry about it he has already fixed it. The produce is everything we expected without exception

The sales rep likes to argue and give a bit of a hard time before giving the customer what they want. Screens were ordered from the factory, but never came in. Then he instructed one of his installers to make the screens himself when the needed materials came in from the manufacturer. Those parts were delivered to the wrong city & we were going to have to wait yet another two weeks for the next truck shipment to come in. By now a good month had already passed. Finally they had our order which could be shipped in a mailing tube sent by mail. We still had to keep contacting the store to see if the screens had been made up yet. Finally they sent up an appointment with us for installation. The guy who made the screens was supposed to be the one installing them, but it was some one else on the crew. Since the screens have been in they are the only ones we have ever had that rattle in the wind. Granted the wind has to be pretty strong for that to happen, but the issue is we do have that kind of wind often. We have not called them again about the screens or the the fact that they are not as well made as they should be. We did get them without any additional cost so there was some attempt to make us satisfied. I don't know if I would use Champion again. We do have additional windows that may need replacing and it would be better to have them come from the same manufacturer in order to match. However, the experience with the management tends to be a hassle that I don't enjoy going through again. The windows are okay and the company has worked with us, so I can't say I could not recommend them.

GREAT! They promised the total job would be done in 5 hours, it took them 3.5 hours and the results were beatiful. In addition, they fully insulated the window-frame gap with foam WHICH WAS NOT DONE FOR THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS! The installation was done on a hot day and the temperature in the room dropped 15 degrees as soon as the installation was complete. In addition, they spent a lot of time finishing off the caulking so that it looked great! I am totally pleased with the result and we are now planning to replace several other windows in the house as soon as we can afford it. By the way, the cost for the windows and installation was VERY reasonable!

They canceled two different appointments. When they called to reschedule for the third time, I said to forget it.

We went to a homeshow and we visited the window companies there. The people representing Champion were very proffesional, knew their product well and took the time to explain details with confidence about their windows and company. We signed up for a free estimate. I was concerned about high pressure sales, prices and a stranger in my home. The sales representative arrived on time and the experience was surprisingly good! We braced ourselves for the quote. We were shocked! Almost wanted to stop looking at other companies and sign the dotted line there and then. We waited a few weeks and Champion called to see if we made our decision. The choice was clearly Champion! The windows and doors arrived sooner than expected. The installers worked from early morning until late afternoon for 3 days. They were impressive in their work ethic, even my neighbor commented on how hard these two installers worked. They took great pride and time to do a fantastic job! We love the quality, the amazing improvement in our homes overall appeal plus the windows are already keeping the temperature in the home much more comforable. No doubt we will save money on our heating and cooling bills. Great company, easy to work with, great product! My home feels like a new home. Very happy and grateful and will use Champion again.

Great sales and awesome installers very professional.

We called Champion Windows to do an estimate on our home for windows. The company manufactures a three pane window that are very energy efficient but the price was quite high & out of our budget. When I told the Champion Windows representative the price was out of our budget he did call me with an offer of about $1000.00 less but was still too far out of budget. The sales representative was very nice but felt more like a car salesman on commission. He was pleasant & professional but did say a few negative things about other window companies which was unnecessary.

Champion had installed windows for us in 2009. They weren't the least expensive, but we were VERY happy with the workmanship, which is why we opted to use them again in 2011. Everyone we dealt with was polite and professional from the salesman to the installers. We used another company (Don's Windows in Albuquerque) to install a sliding glass door in our kitchen, but WOW! -- what a difference in the quality and the professionalism of the installers. Champion installers cleaned up after themselves (including cleaning the newly installed windows). Don's idea of clean up was a joke, but when I spoke to the owner, hew wasn't at all concerned or responsive.We have now replaced all our windows, but if we should decide to purchase new doors in the future, we will use Champion for that job without a doubt. We love our windows!
