Very well. He did a great job.

They were here on time and they did what they were supposed to do in about three hours.

Came to take estimate, gave him one of the very few replacement tiles I had left to use for a color, texture match. He never came back, never called. I called 2 times and voice mail was full. Called a 3rd time, was able to leave message; can I at least have my tile back, maybe an estimate.....never heard back from Caledera's tile. They were at the top of your rating list, not sure why?!?!

The owner of the company showed up on time to take a look at the job and provide an estimate. The estimate was a very good price and the owner was thorough in his examination, very professional & patient with all my email inquiries. He was also the very best at answering emails in a timely manner as I went thru my process of interviewing several candidates. In fact he was the best contractor yet at answering emails thru Angie's List over the past 2 years I've been using the service. We were definitely going to hire Caldera's Tile, but at the last minute a friend of mine asked to facilitate the work for personal reasons, and I couldn't turn him down. I would very much recommend reaching out to Caldera's tile for any work you need if you are tired of getting the run around from other contractors.

Juan and his brother Joe did most of the work on the job. As I was hoping to get the work completed sooner rather than later, Juan worked to fit my project in between some other jobs he already was working on. Juan and Joe were professional and skilled and did a great job on my master bathroom shower and a tub surround. When errors were pointed out they were quick to address and correct them and they left the site clean. I would certainly use Caldera's Tile again and was very happy to find them!

Juan is extremely professional, always following-through with communication and prompt for estimates and work. He is very personable and engaging--asking questions and providing guidance and explanation for work. His work ethic is very strong as he makes sure that everything is done correctly and as efficiently as possible. He appears to have a high level of integrity and prices his work very reasonably. I highly recommend him for tile/grout work.

The job took more than twice as long as Juan estimated because the condition of the old shower was terrible. He did everything as promised and made sure everything (new shower head etc) was in proper working order. Although it's not easy to have someone in the house every day while I was working Juan is so kind and polite he made everything easy for me. He also worked according to my schedule.

He responded immediately to my estimate request, was able to start the next day and work over the holiday break. He and his son were detailed oriented and did a great job. He even helped me return all the extra product when the job was complete. I would highly recommend Juan and will probably use him for future work.

Juan was very professional. He was timely, always called with updates, and was eager to please. This all despite he was likely overbooked. Juan's service provided excellent value for the price. If I could give a higher grade for overall and price I would -> A++.

Juan and his sons arrived on date and time agreed on, they were focused, efficient and professional. Tile for 365 square feet was installed in two days. They did a great job, we definitely would use them again an most definitely recommend them to others.

Caldera's Tile did a beautiful and professional job in the laying down wood looking porcelain tile in our living room, dining room and office. They worked nonstop until the job was done and were courteous and friendly. They were punctual and were able to complete the job ahead of schedule. We highly recommend them and we will definitely use them again, should we need more work done.

It went very well. They, Juan and his brother Joe. did a very professional job. Cared about dragging dirt in to the house by putting drop cloths down and using plastic to eliminate dust due to the bathroom door not installed yet. Juan followed our wishes, as to the tile design on the floor, to the letter. They always arrived when they said thy would. My wife and I are very pleased with the results and how it looks.

Juan was always on time and worked overtime the first day to get the job done. His price was very good, as a matter of fact we paid him a little extra because we felt he shorted himself based on all the tile cuts he had to make. Very conscientious person. Job looks really good.

Excellent experience. Juan responded to my request for a quote very quickly. He made recommendations for repairs after looking at all the problem areas and was careful to match the 3 different colors of grout. He provided a very reasonable quote the next day, and then scheduled the work for the following week to fit my schedule. I appreciated his calling to let me know when he was running a little late (less than 10 minutes). He was very professional, worked efficiently for a little over 2 hours, did a great job & left all areas clean. Everything looks like new again! I?ll definitely call Caldera?s Tile for any tile & grout work needed in the future.

They did a great job and used existing tile whenever possible which was a savings for us. They arrived promptly and completed the job in one day. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Perfect. Without incident. He came, did work, smiled, was pleasant, efficient,courteous and then he left.

I called Juan about a week ago to get a quote for replacing backsplash tile in kitchen and he came by the very next day to take a look. I thought his price was very fair and he came back this week to tear out old tile and to install and grout it. The subway tile looks BEAUTIFUL. He is clearly very detail-oriented, and cleaned up his work area thoroughly each day when he was done. He is very professional and knows his work very well. We will be replacing tile in our bathroom soon and I hope Caldera Tile will do it. Thanks Juan!

We could not have been more pleased. The first time he worked for us we were struck by his clear concise estimate. He held to estimate with absolutely no issue. Once we agreed, he worked hard, efficiently and was a pleasure to be around. He did what he said he would do and the work was above reproach, We decided then that we would continue to have Juan do any and all our tile work. We held to that commitment and hired him again. Again, work was done efficiently, within the estimate and work was superb. I am not sure about that horrible review from the angry individual, but I agree with someone else who wrote that it did not sound like Juan. This household has two women in it and we each spent time alone with Juan during the course of both jobs and we experienced nothing in his behavior that made us uncomfortable in our home. Juan is a good contractor and has done great work for us. We look forward to working with him in the future. We will recommend him to others.

Juan was professional and thorough. His work was meticulous and precise. He really cared about the final outcome. When one little thing was not to my liking he came up with an alternative and easily and willingly executed it. Juan was easy to work with and I felt completely comfortable with him. You will be very happy if you hire Juan - he is one of the good guys!! (I didn't include an amount because Juan was a subcontractor and I don't know what percentage went toward tiling.)

I called Mr. Caldera for an estimate, he showed up promptly and gave me an estimate that was satisfactory to me. I was impressed with his promptness and communication. He always notified me if he would be late and worked around my plumbers schedule. He did a beautiful job on my counters and I am very pleased with them. If in the future I need more tile work I would not hesitate in Hiring him again. The previous review does not sound at all like Mr. Caldera. Since he has worked for me twice and I have been very pleased both times with his professionalism I would hope my review is given a little more credibility

Mr. Caldera of Calderas Tile entered into a contract to replace existing tile and install fixtures in my shower and bathroom. He used my carpet runners for the debris of the original tear out. When I asked him to stop he said he forgot his drop cloth.These runners were destroyed and had to be discarded. I immediately contacted the BBB and the Construction Industries Division and was told I had to" give Mr. Caldera the benefit of the doubt or fire him and attempt to get the money back in civil court." I had already given Mr. Caldera 1/2 the labor and material costs up front. I gave Mr. Caldera the benefit of the doubt at a great cost to myself and my property.The loss of the up front costs is NOTHING compared to what it is going to cost me to repair what this man and his family members have done! HE DID NOT SEAL the grout and tile properly and water is leaking through the walls adjacent to the shower.He did work he was not licensed or capable of doing(plumbing). He refused to use a proper drop cloth and scratched and gauged my individually painted , irreplaceable floor tile. It was so beautiful. It was one of the main reasons I purchased this home. Inferior tile and grout were used;not the tile or grout I had chosen and paid for. Different colored grouts were used. The demarcations are an eye sore The tiles are uneven. The grout comes off to the touch, and chunks are falling off behind the toilet where the tile did not meet the ground. He did not clean up the debris left behind,except for old tile. He left a huge mess and it took me a while to clean the grout and mortar off my wooden cabinets, floor, walls ,and linens.When he removed the tile surrounding the sink and vanity it left large holes .He did not replace the sheet rock. Only tile and mortar covers theses holes into my linen cabinets and INTO THE INTERIOR of THE WALL! I have worked with many contractors in my life. This was the worst experience I have ever had.I am a single woman and was fooled by his soft spoken and professional appearance.He ignored every issue I brought up and refused to provide receipts for materials. On the final day of the job , he demanded more money than was stipulated in the original contract. I also demanded receipts once more. He left in anger grabbing the original contract as he left. All I am left with is a final"receipt" from an invoice sheet and his flier, work card listing a web page,and his personal notes to me. Hire this man at your own risk. If you are a woman make sure you are not alone with him, especially on the final day.
