My furnace is 10-years old and had never been checked out or serviced. John went through the list of all the items on the Angie's List invoice. Everything checked out. He answered all of the additional questions I asked him. He did find that the vent pipe was improperly installed. I asked him about fixing it and installing it properly. He let me know that he could fix it for me but he would have to charge me the company's standard rate. I needed this issue resolved so I agreed to pay the standard rate. That also included a Hot Water Heater check-up. I feel that I have a safe furnace now and will be more comfortable this winter. John was very thorough, professional and efficient. I would call Air Conditioning Systems, Inc. for further furnace work, if needed, and I would recommend them to others.

ended up going with different provider. wish i could of got my money back since they just tore up furnace, left a mess. Nice people but i needed to know more to make decisions. no followup either.

I purchased this service through a special offer from Angie. They immediately contacted me to schedule a date within the next two weeks. They were punctual, professional and very helpful. They suggested a different kind of filter which would be an upgrade for the next time I purchase one - and reassured me that my furnace was working properly. An addition to the furnace check up - was a hot water heater check. This was included in the special price. I would definitely use this company again.

Very professional technician--

It was fine. He was here for about fifteen minutes, he checked the furnace and that was it. It was a good price. It is difficult to comment on quality of what he did because all he did was check the furnace and I suppose we would just have to wait until the heating season to find out. His response time was quite all right and was here on time.

We had originally scheduled service a couple of weeks ago but had to reschedule due to illness of the person who was going to perform the service. Louis contacted me as soon as possible to notify me of the illness. We rescheduled the appointment. Shane came as scheduled and he was great. Good personality, great sense of humor and had the work completed in about 45 minutes. Experience was great overall. I will be hiring them to replace my swamp cooler prior to next summer.

The service provider was knowledgeable about the furnace and was able to provide me information about it, which was nice since I bought the house a few years ago and didn't know how old the furnace was, etc. He was patient with my questions and let me know exactly what he did to the furnace. He did not recommend any expensive services to be performed, however did offer to assist with finding furnace filters, as mine are an unusual size. I was very pleased and will call them for all future furnace related issues.

I was very satisfied with the services performed, it's just that it took a lot longer than I expected to get them out here. But there was a reason for that. Apparently, they have only one guy doing that and he had the flu so we had to wait a week for him to get over the flu.

On time arrival and went right to work. Based on this experience we would call Air Conditioning Systems again.

Cleaned, but then could not get the Heaters Pilot light lit. Spent about one hour and a box of matches trying to light pilot, then said he thought it might be the Pilot light. Wanted to go in the crawl space and check out the gas line to the heater. this would have cost me another $80.00, on top of the $49.00 for the original cleaning. Bottom Line: I told him not to bother. Then I called in the company that I used previously. The service man came in checked everything out, and simply checked the position of the rod, telling whether the pilot was on or off. It was off. He set the rod in the right position, lit the pilot, checked it's efficiency, and was gone, in a bout 20 minutes. And NO, I will not use "Air conditioning Systems", again.

They charged me an hour service call for $95.00 on top of the Angie's List Big Deal I had purchased. I agreed to the service call fee beforehand. I feel that's a standard price for a service call but I had already paid the $55.00 for the tune up. hey did not use any sort of instrument to check the carbon monoxide levels which I am not quite sure about.

Tech (John) arrived on time. He was very personable and professional. He cleaned the furnace, installed a new filter, made recommendations for better filter performance without hurting furnace performance. He also checked operation and all the safety features on the furnace. In addition, since the water heater was located next to the furnace John checked the safety valve on the water heater. He cleaned every thing up before leaving. We will use the company in the spring to inspect our refrigerated air system.

The technician was on time, knowledgeable and pleasant. He was efficient and completed the job quickly.

I purchased two coupons for my two furnaces for the Early Bird Furnace Service Big Deal for $49.00 each. Louis called me right away and scheduled an appointment. I needed him to turn off my swamp cooler and turn on my two furnaces for the winter. The swamp cooler service was extra, and their price was extremely reasonable. The technician called ahead of time, arrived as scheduled, and performed his work very professionally. He was knowledgeable and quite nice, too! I would definitely call them again.

Kevin came out first thing this morning. He was very professional and completed the work quickly. Great experience!

John was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and gave helpful, additional tips as we have never had a boiler/radiator system before. He was able to obtain necessary parts promptly from his warehouse and returned to install them quickly. He cleaned up the work site completely when he was done. We will use this company in the future and will recommend them to friends.

I wanted to upgrade to refrigerated air and get a new heating system as well. Carl came out and looked over what I had and made several suggestions to handle my needs. I went with the outdoor package unit thus removing the swamp cooler and indoor heating unit. Leo and Victor arrived at set time and date and got right to work removing the old heating unit and setting the new unit on a pad outside. They built all necessary supply and return ducts and installed them in my crawl space to tap into existing duct work. These guys worked nonstop for two days to complete the job. I had several bids for this job and Carl was the only one that took the time and thought "outside the box" to come up with the best solution for my needs. Very impressive. I will gladly use them for any service needs and for any future projects. I thank Carl, Leo, Victor and the gals at the office for a very pleasant professional experience.

After having our roof replaced, we've had a few issues with our HVAC unit. We've used this vendor 2 times and have been happy with their overall service. The first time they fixed a wiring problem and did routine maintenance. The second time they were helping us solve a problem with a leak. Even though he didn't fix the leak, he did find and fix problems that could have turned into larger problems. And based on our conversations and advice I was able to fix the leak myself. Both times they were professional, punctual, and happy to answer our questions.

No work was performed since my calls were never returned.

It went very well. I have used Air Conditioning Services before. I had them back because I was so happy with their service.

Scott lit the pilot on one, made sure to show me what I needed to do in the future, but then also fixed a problem with a barely connected thermostat wire. The second wall heater needed a few replacement parts to get up and running again but he acquired them and got them installed and everything up and running again. This took quite a bit of time, but wasn't due to any deficiency on his part, there was just a bunch of stuff to do.

Scott came and checked the cooling temperature, cleaned the coils, changed the filters and gave advice on how to get the upstairs cooler. Will use them again.

Well, I called another company out for a second quote (Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling) and their guy said "You just need your valve replaced and I'm going to do that and not quote you for a new system." He did that, and the unit is working great. What a difference between companies. By the way, their office is very overwhelmed, I did not receive calls back in a timely manner. These guys just don't seem to have their act together. The only reason I did not give these guys an "F" is..... well... I don't know. I guess anyone can have an off day now and then. But if you're reading this, I would recommend you try someone else.

It went great and we are quite happy with the service and pricing of our new high quality HVAC system.

We called in late March to get an estimate for replacement of our existing swamp coolers with air conditioning units. Carl, the owner, came out a couple of days later to look over our existing system and describe what he would recommend for a new system. He was very professional and helpful, offering lots of details and willingly answering all my questions. We received a quote several days later; the price was comparable to the quote we received from another contractor, but the system that Carl quoted involved two units (one for each floor of our house), compared to a single unit proposed by the other contractor. We liked Carl and Air Conditioning Systems better than the other contractor we had talked to, and liked the added flexibility and temperature control that Carl's proposed two-unit system would provide (compared to the single-unit system proposed by the other contractor). I called Carl back to request a quote on a couple of other options, which he worked up and sent to me propmptly. We put down a deposit and set up our service dates, a little over a week in the future. The installation was supposed to take two to two-and-a-half days. Or the first day of installation, there was apparently some miscommunication with one of the subcontractors: the crane that Air Conditioning Systems hired to hoist the A/C units up to our roof arrived hours before the main crew. The crane driver eventually left, returning later when actually needed. The main crew arrived slightly later than promised, but got right to work. By the end of the first day they had hoisted the new A/C units to the roof, completed much of the electrical work, and prepared much of the new ductwork. On the second day of installation, the team again arrived later then promised, but again got right to work. Apparently the crew was trying to juggle this job with another job, because different crew members kept leaving and returning as they were needed at the other site. By the end of the second day, the crew had completed almost all of the electrical work, most of the new ductwork, and had cut through the roof to install the return duct to the new A/C units (our house is heated with radiant heat, and did not have return airflow ducting because there was no forced-air heat). It was apparent at the end of the second day that the complete installation would probably take a full three days, which was slightly longer than the original estimate of two to two-and-a-half days. On the third day, only a couple crew members were needed to complete the installation. As on the second day, they kept coming and going in order to continue progress both at my site and another site. The crew leader apologized for this; it would have been frustrating had they not been making good progress at my house, which they were. The reduced crew completed the ductowrk, electrical tie-ins, and roof patching. At this point the installation was essentially complete, but they had some trouble getting the new units to work with the wireless thermostats they installed (more on this shortly). However, by early evening of the third day, everything seemed to be working. They showed me how to operate the system, answered my questions, and departed. We had a minor problem with the installed system almost immediately: the wireless thermostats that were installed kept losing contact with the roof-mounted units. This would result in the system cycling off and on during extended cooling cycles. This was really only a nuisance, as the system would still cool the house down to the temperature set point after a couple of cycles, requiring only five or ten minutes longer than would a perfectly operating system. We called Air Conditioning Systems back to report the problem and they told us they would send somebody out soon. A couple of evenings later, we got a call from Scott, another crew leader or supervisor; he asked us if he could come by late that evening to check things out. It turned out that Air Conditioning Systems had been slammed with jobs at the start of the cooling season, and Scott had been working at another site all day, but wanted to respond to our service call after hours so that we would not have to wait days or weeks. We were impressed with this responsiveness and commitment to service -- Scott was working on our roof to respond to our problem late that evening as the sun went down. He not only diagnosed the likely problem, but also noted that some of the seams on the new ductwork had not been insulated quite as well as he would have liked; he promised that somebody would come out to fix both problems. It was close to a month before Air Conditioning Systems was able to send somebody out to complete the fix (and the duct seam reinsulation); I called a couple of times to follow up, and the receptionist was apologetic each time that they had not yet been able to schedule us. She claimed that they had been both extremely busy and short-handed. In any case, the crew leader from the original installation eventually came out to fix the problems. He installed new wireless thermostats that have worked perfectly since installation. We have been extremely pleased with the new system -- since the replacement of the thermostats, it has worked flawlessly, and has kept our house nice and cool. As indicated above, there were a couple of minor hiccups during the installation and subsequent service phases, but as a whole the entire process went very well, and we are extremely happy with the end result. We would definitely recommend Air Conditioning Systems to others.
