Description of Work: Had to replace a part on the heater and the experience was pricey & a bit better than some in the past. I thought the service tech. did a better than average job but the travel fee that was charged was tooo pricey.

Description of Work: Even though my furnace is only 3 yrs old, they did check it and found it was in good working order. The furnace was under the floor in the crawl space so it was not convenient but the person who came out handled the inconvience fine. Also provided clean air filters.

Description of Work: ACS was one of several companies that I contacted about replacing a 17 year old evaporative cooler for my home. Both companies sent technicians to meet with me. Both recommended the same unit as the best evaporative cooler for my needs. The ACS bid was cheaper by over $400. I called ACS the next day and accepted the bid and we set a date for the work. On the appointed day the workmen showed up on time and went right to work. The ACS technicians had the old unit off the roof and the new unit installed in two hours. They tested the unit to make sure it was working then walked me through its operation. They provided me with a copy of all warrantees and an invoice. I was able to pay for the work with a credit card. I am very pleased with the work that ACS did for me. ACS personnel were highly competent and professional. I got what I needed for a good price. I have a second evaporative cooler that will need to be replaced next year and will hire them to do that work too. I highly recommend this company.

 + -1 moreScott the technician arrived on time and very quickly fixed the swamp cooler which needed a new motor. He was very cordial, and professional. He let me know what it would cost to fix my furnace as well. I was very impressed with this company! I will definitly use them again.
Description of Work: On Monday morning, during a heat wave, my swamp cooler died. I called Carl who was very courteous and helpful. He helped diagnose the problem, which was correct, I needed a new motor. He gave me an estimate and said he would send out a technician in about an hour.

I firmly believe that what separates great businesses from average businesses is how they respond when things don't go as planned. Air Conditioning Systems responed extremely well in this regard and has all the makings of a great business. I would not hesitate to use them again for future work.

 + -1 moreOur home was cooled with two evaporative coolers, aka swamp coolers. After years of starting up in the spring and shutting down in the fall, we thought it might be smart to play it safe and keep the old man off the roof. We decided to convert to refrigerated air for our comfort and also to increase our home s market appeal. We solicited and received estimates from four local air conditioning installers. All four service estimators offered essentially the same scenario. They would have to replace one furnace and add two refrigeration units and compressors. The sizing of the units was equal in every way and the efficiency ratings were all the same according to the descriptive literature provided. Estimates to do the job ranged from $10,904 to $15,632 including taxes. We chose the lowest bid because in 12 years of business not a single complaint had ever been filed against this company with the Better Business Bureau. The conversion was started on the scheduled date. The two man crew worked steadily and completed the work in two and a half days. The a/c is working smoothly and efficiently and we are pleased with the result. No more climbing up on the roof for maintenance. We would certainly recommend that you request an estimate from them if you are considering refrigerated air conversion.
Description of Work: Remove existing evaporative cooler on roof, insulate, seal and cap ductwork. Remove existing upstairs furnace and install new high efficiency two-stage variable speed furnace. Modify combustion air intake and existing ductwork to accommodate new furnace, cased coil and condensing units. Install refrigeration line set and condensate pump with drain line tube. Install combination Honeywell heat and cool thermostat. Remove downstairs cooler and insulate ductwork with steel plate on pad. Install cased coil in existing furnace. Install condensing unit, refrigeration line set and condensate pump with drain line. Install combination Honeywell heat and cool thermostat. Provide all required electrical, labor and installation materials. Start up and test operation. EPA removal and disposal of existing equipment.
