A week later they installed my new security door. I really like it. All the men were very nice and courteous. They arrived early and went right to work. I would definitely recommend the company.

This local company is owned and operated by three brothers who have been doing this since their teenage years. Ryan does Sales and Service, Scott does installation. They are a joy to work with -- extremely service-oriented, personable, professional. The support after the sale was exemplary, and I know I can call on them in the future should the need arise. This is a model company, and I highly recommend them. I am very grateful to have found such an excellent company to help me make my home secure.

Very good experience. The doors are well-built; everyone was very timely; there is a good warranty on the doors; the sales and installation people were very knowledgeable and professional.

The price seemed reasonable. The customer should have an idea of what they want, but they have equipment that does cutouts. Our gates turned out really well.

Everything went very well. I only had a follow up that took about 5 minutes.

They did pretty well. They had to come in and go into the frame to get it lined up and I wasn't totally happy about that.

Action Iron provided an estimate and installed a security door that had a custom doggie door built in. Every appointment that was made was kept and on time too! We got other estimates... Others were late and came in much higher in price. Some appointments were never kept with no phone call to reschedule or explain. The result was exactly what we asked for. The installation went quickly and was done perfectly. Installers were professional and nice.

The gate is exactly what I envisioned and was installed on the date I requested. This was a no-hassle experience and I would highly recommend Action Security for beautiful gates.

Overall, we're fairly happy with the final result. However, the installers were not as thorough as I would have liked. The first team who came out to set the posts had one post that was several inches too short, and they tried to blame that on the slope of the yard. Having set the short post in concrete, they said they'd build it up to the right height when they installed the fence panels. I didn't think that was acceptable. I called the owner of the company, who came out and immediately agreed the post was too short. He had a new post made and installed, but this delayed the project by a week. They also said the gate would have to be three inches narrower than we'd requested, because they had to allow for two 8 foot fence panels. I thought that odd, since I figured they'd build the fence panels to the exact size once the posts were in - I didn't understand why the panels had to be exactly 8 feet; but I agreed to let them reduce the gate size. When they came back to install the panels, one of the panels was too big, and they had to saw part of it off to get it into the gap between the posts. I would have expected more accurate measurement and construction. On the initial site visit, I'd mentioned that there were TV cables buried in the wall near the window (where the security screen was being fitted). However, this clearly wasn't communicated to the installers. They didn't check with a meter for cables, and instead just drilled through the wall to fit a quick-release for the screen. They hit the TV cable, and we now have to take down some drywall in the house to fix that. To be fair, I didn't bother calling them back on that issue, since I figure they'd just say it wasn't their fault; so I didn't give them a chance to fix that mistake. I'm not sure if this is the level of professionalism and care I could expect from any other company, but it was irritating to have a number of issues like this come up in such a small project. Gates and fencing seem well made, though I was surprised that caps on the pickets (they are hollow metal) were not painted or powder-coated to match the rest of the fence. We'll have to do a little bit of touch up with paint to hide the black metal on the edges of the caps. UPDATE: As of April 20, 2012 - one year after installation - we are seeing rust marks in various points on the gate/fence. Clearly the powder coating is failing in places, and was not properly re-sealed where they cut the panel to fit the gap. Again, this is disappointing after only a year.

No problem. It is hard to say about the price. The gate was designed to be compatible with the existing railing. It was primed but no painted. This was fine.

The handle that was installed was not the one on display when the order was made. I complained about the handle the first day. After one full year of dealing with them it has not been changed. The door is not secure. There is an open space right below the handle where you can reach your hand right through and open the door in 1/2 a second. After one year of dealing with them, this has not been fixed. The partners in the business say they cannot make the decisions, only the senior partner. Every time I ask to have him call me, they tell me he will, and after a full year of dealing with them he has not contacted me in any way.

I was very pleased with this company. They do nice work. You get to pick out the door you want and they make it for you. If you have any problem they will take care of it.

Very happy with working with this company and with the end result. The business is family owned. Very responsive, very easy to work with. Ryan helped us pick out/design a door that would work well for our house and spent a lot of time discussing design and color. Scott installed the door the next week and it looks great.

This was our second time to use this company. They have always done a great job. They come out and measure your doors and you can either pick a design from the internet or go to their showroom. Both the estimator and installers were on time, did a good job of installing the doors, and cleaned up their trash. Our neighbors also used them and they were happy with their results, too.

The sales representative was very courteous and helpful. We asked for separate price quotations for a security door and for security bars on all of our windows. He gave us a quote right away. We made an appointment for installing the security door the following week. The two installers were quite professional and thorough. They worked long and hard to make the installation perfect. Consequently, it took them longer than they planned, but they persisted. Their standards of workmanship exceeded ours. So, we have been quite pleased.

Due to the age and construction style of our 70-year-old home, we contacted Action Security for an estimate, as we were not able to use a pre-fabricated door. They were very prompt to the appointment and thorough in their bid and recommendations. The fabrication of the security door/screen was pretty quick and exactly to our specifications and installation was right on time and high quality.

The very best service from everyone I had contact with at this company. They really value customer service and satisfaction. They have a website that is easy to access which shows models of their work, but they will customize to suit your needs. The door was measured, made, and installed in a matter of days. My neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and I know I feel much safer having it in place.

overall good experience. salesman was prompt, brought color samples, answered questions, provided quote before leaving. installation crew was prompt, quick. there was a glitch - doorknobs on security door and inside door conflicted. solution required a prehung frame which was fabricated and installed that afternoon at no additional cost. in that the door has been in place for only 2 days, cannot comment on durability of finish, etc.

Very courteous and responsive, all four of the folks who came to the house. Work well done, fencing looks really fine. No complaints whatsoever. Good people, gfood work.

Ryan came promptly for the estimate, made some suggestions about style. I went to the shop to pick out colors. The doors were done a week earlier than they said, and were installed professionally and quickly. Exceeded my expectations with regard to price, service, and quality.

Everyone who comes to my home, even strangers, comment on the screen/door. It is so unique, and built to last beyond the life of the house.

The estimator arrived when scheduled and provided an estimate at that time. The company arrived when agreed to and installed the gate. All went well and we are completely satisfied.

We wanted security but not the prison bar look. Most of their work is custom designs and look more decorative than security. We chose a design they had done before and tweaked it a bit. They sent us a computer drawing and we OK'd that. We took a paint sample of the color we wanted and chose the powder finish. The installation went great and the doors are beautiful and sturdy. We were very pleased and would recommend Action Security again.
