We had Action Security construct and install 100 feet of decorative railing on new bloc wall. Also made were 2 new custom gates and 1 roll style gate to property's entry. They did a fantastic job as usual. We have had them do work for us in the past. I can't say enough nice things about them. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

This company did a remarkable job, both in walking me through the choices (more than I've seen anywhere else) and installing the bars. The doors are aligned perfectly. The screening is secure yet unobtrusive. The house feels more safer, yet the bars, an original design, are beautiful, and the powder coat finish adds interest. The doors work smoothly. Great company, and I'd hire them again.

The whole process was pretty easy. Ryan came out with photos, color samples, etc., measured, and gave us an estimate on what we wanted. After looking at more of their work online and visiting their showroom, we tweaked the design a bit, and it was actually cheaper than the original estimate (and very reasonable compared to some other estimates we had gotten). The installation went well and we're very happy with the finished product.

I was very pleased with my new iron security door, how it works and how it looks, BUT: WHEN THE INSTALLERS DID THE INSTALL, they screwed their iron frame to my wooden door frame (this is the typical install method). The iron frame, being stronger than my wood frame, pulled the wood frame out of alignment. After the installer left, I realized that it was impossible to fully close my wooden door. The wooden door had fit perfectly before, so I am sure the installation changed the shape of my door frame. THERE IS AN EASY WAY TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM: while the installer tightens down his screws (he is outside on the porch), his assistant needs to be inside the house, inserting wood shims around the original door, so that the wooden door frame is not pulled out of alignment during the install. I called Action Security about this, the day after the install, and left a detailed message about the problem with the receptionist. I asked that the supervisor call me. He never did. Luckily, I am a retired carpenter, so after a half hour's sanding using a random orbit sander, I was able to remove enough wood from my original mahogany door, to get it to more or less shut. But most customers would not have this ability. This is a classic case of a contractor being totally focused on HIS specific task, but not paying attention to the effects it might have on the surrounding area.

They did a great job. They are my boys! They are timely, professional and their work is outstanding. I recommended them to a friend and my friend thanked me for referring them to her. I am already planning on using them again.

Very well. Scott and his crew had actually repainted the gate last year. Due to some settling of our courtyard wall, the gate was sticking shut. Now it works perfectly.

Beautiful! The gate that they created for us is just beautiful and we could not be happier. It is well made functions just beautifully and the whole process of determining and design, to installation we just perfectly. The website is great. We selected a design prior to our initial consultation from the site and they helped us customize and determine how to tie it to our existing outdoor design elements. When the door arrived, it was missing some design elements we had requested and they took it right back and corrected the oversight and returned promptly to complete the installation. The price was reasonable compared to other estimates and most importantly they showed up for the consultation! Most of the iron gate companies we contacted either did not return calls or did not show up for appointments. Not Action, they were prompt, professional and they got our business. We are going to engage them again for security/storm doors on our patio. They could not be nicer and more professional and we could not be more pleased with the work.

We contacted Action Iron Security Works because we wanted to install security doors on our front and back entrances. We talked to somebody on the phone, and later we went to their site to see some of their items. Everybody we spoke to was very helpful and friendly. We didn't know a lot about security doors at first, but they took the time to answer our questions and educate us about different options. We got a quote and comparison shopped with another option in town; the prices were very similar. We preferred our chosen style and the representatives at Action Iron, so we provided a down payment and scheduled our installation. After scheduling our installation, we had a couple more questions. We had to call and email a few times before we got a response -- this was really the only hiccup in the entire process. Shortly after we scheduled our installation, Action Iron sent a representative to our house to measure our doors. Our installation went smoothly: the installation crew was on time, and was professional and courteous. The quality and appearance of the product met our expectations. We would definitely recommend Action Iron to others.

Cannot say enough good about everyone associated with this company. Dale came out to give me an estimate on the security doors. He arrived on time, listened to what we wanted and left us with a firm quote on having the work done. I was thrilled to have a quote that day because another company I called did not do that and it took 2 weeks to get a price quote from that other company. Not only did Action Security Iron make us awesome security doors, but they were quite happy to install a dog door in the back security door. We provided the door that matched the one on our original back door and they installed it. Now both doors have the dog door so our dogs can still go out when they like, even though we have the security door and the regular back door. They had a lot of different colored finishes to choose from and allowed us to choose our hardware also. We were so pleased with the work they did on our security doors in March, 2015 that we called them back to ask for a quote on powder coating our gate so that it would match the security doors. Our gate was purchased through another iron company not quite 3 years ago and unbeknownst to us, it had only been spray painted black. That paint was no oxidizing and we were also noticing some rust, so we asked Action Security Iron for a quote. They did a great job and were reasonably priced. They even provided a temporary gate so that our dogs wouldn't get out of the back yard. Every time they did work at my house, they left the area cleaner than they found it. The quality of their work is excellent and every one of the employees were responsive, punctual and well kept. I appreciate when someone I'm paying to do a job shows up at my door looking professional and not like a bum. The price I listed above included all the work they did for us.

This project was challenging because the deck had exterior porcelain tile down the sides and required special designing for installation of the railing We paid for design work, which payment was credited back with the project completion. The only problem encountered was that the individual who came to do measurements had a limited number of paint colors with him and I didn't like any of them. I wanted a color that would match the siding. However, after discussing the problem with the manager, I was able to go by their showroom and found the exact color I wanted. It cost a little more but was worth it. This project was not cheap, but I love the results. and we've had no problems with any of it. The project looks great , matches our house beautifully, and was everything I wanted.

This company is just incredible. Their designs for security doors are NOTHING like the security doors of the past. We chose a Frank Lloyd Wright design in a color to match our existing front door. The result could not be more stunning. The days of feeling that putting up security iron work made you a prisoner in your own home are over. This door is an addition to the house not a subtraction. This local and family owned business is service oriented. They were very responsive when we called for information. We quickly had an appointment to talk options and get prices. For the product-their prices are competitive. After ordering the door it was manufactured and installed within two weeks. Both the brothers who came out, first to quote and then to install, were very friendly, knowledgeable, no-nonsense guys. We really cannot say enough good things about this company and are planning on a second door. You can't go wrong with Action Security Iron. And, no, we are not related to them.

The design process went smoothly as we had a couple of iterations. I provided a pencil drawing indicating that I wanted a design element centered for a symmetric design. For long railing runs, I wanted that a basic design repeated 3 times. And there was a central design element that I wanted centered in the base design. My dissatisfaction stems from 3 main items: 1) while some the railings implemented my stated design specification, others were built asymmetrically. This was not apparent until final installation. So my recommendation for others is before anything is installed, to make sure it was built to your specification and send it back to be re-done if it wasn't. 2) the installation. The mounting plates on the posts were too large and overhang the wood on which they are mounted. This requires the screws to be driven at angles. A better approach would be to size these mounting plates according the space present. Structurally the posts are fine -- the attachment areas just don't look good. Secondly, there was an initial attachment to the stucco which was really shoddy -- they did come back and re-do that installation point much better. 3) one of the pieces was not quite the right size -- instead of re-making it, the installer forced it into position, damaging my stucco bump-out in the process and creating a water-entry issue. They revisited and repaired the stucco with a patch -- but my position is that piece should never have been installed in the first place. Time will tell if this turns out to be a problem area. I had used a competitor for a gate and some grill-work over the front door, but they were booked for several months and so I decided to go with Action Security for the railings as I had a neighbor who was pleased with their work. If I had to do it again, I would have waited and used my original company. These guys are not bad, but they just didn't implement the attention to detail that I would have liked. I did let them know in an email about the problem areas and they corrected some that I mentioned above, but not the ones which would have required re-making some railing sections.

We had an old 15' wooden gate that was deteriorating to the point that it was difficult to open and close. We needed an update! I called Action to set up an appt. and Ryan came the next day - a Monday - 5 minutes early! We told him generally what we wanted, but had no idea as to a design. He came in and chatted with us for a while and said he had a good idea of what would please us and would e-mail a design with an estimate that evening. The design was very appealing, and the cost acceptable. We replied by e-mail, and the job was scheduled for the following Monday. Joel arrived with a helper- again 5 minutes early!! - and completed the preparations, which included chipping and digging out previously set concrete in order to prepare a 2' deep posthole for the new gate. This was a difficult job as the new posthole had to be placed relatively close to our block wall pilaster, and the integrity of that concrete had to be preserved. It was a warm day, hard work, but they kept at it without a break until they were finished! The new gate arrived - again 5 minutes early!! - on Friday, and looks terrific! We had a minor glitch with the handle, which was corrected immediately. Overall, we are absolutely thrilled with our new gate, and really with this company. They always arrive 5 minutes early (extremely rare in New Mexico - hey, we're natives, we know!), have a marvelous work ethic, are very professional, great attitude, gosh! What more can I say? We are "old geezers" and really appreciate this kind of service! Rare, these days.

Ryan showed up on time for appt to provide quote for work I needed done. He explained they would have to take out some of the new stucco to replace the doorjamb that had been knocked out of alignment when new stucco applied and that he didn't have anyone to then repair the stucco. That was fine because I had someone I could call for that, but I was concerned about how badly the new stucco would be damaged. He also was able to give me a quote for glass for the back security door that, when installed almost 21 years ago, I was told could only support screens and was always an insulation problem in the winter. Joel showed up on time to do the work and I was happily surprised that he did an excellent job with the stucco and the repair will be minimal. He also replaced the screens on the back door with the glass and put up new weather stripping.

We were in the market for additional window guards across the back windows of our home. I had looked at Action Security Iron on Angie's List and was impressed with the customer reviews. My husband and I stopped in their showroom on January 26th 2015, met Dale Bogue, liked their product and set up an appointment for Wednesday the 28th. Dale was prompt and courteous, a contract was drawn, the price was reasonable. The installation was set for Friday February 6th 2015. In the meantime I discovered Action Security Iron in the coupon section of Angie's List Monthly booklet. I called their office and asked for the 10% off, a new invoice was created. The installers were prompt, courteous, very neat and in 35 minutes the work was completed. We couldn't be more pleased. We would use this company again and would recommend them.

It was a rental property and the property manager was on site and said the workers were fantastic and the job was really well today.

This was a great experience. First, someone came out to our house to get an idea of what we wanted and to measure for the gate. We requested a modern design in a custom red finish. They let us know that it would be installed on January 6. The installers arrived on time, were friendly and polite, and installed the gate in about half an hour. They cleaned up after themselves and touched up where needed. The gate is absolutely gorgeous! We certainly recommend them and will hire them in the future for our side yard gate.

Our contact was Dale Bogue - very professional, excellent service. Great doors but we didn't like the original double cylinder locks (they would be better security but you would have to keep up with a key for the inside {a problem especially with children around} and I don't think it would be good in case of panic during a fire) so Dale came back and replaced them with single cylinder locks with no problem. Worked with us on the design and color (powder coated) to match new railings that we are having made.

Received a visit from representative explained what needed to be done. There were 2 doors (one patio double door). The patio door required an adjustment as well as refinishing. There was extensive rust and dog scratches, the doors were at least 14 years old and 6 dogs later. Received and estimate within 24 hours with a list of the work. Confirmed the cost but had to wait about 6 weeks before the work could be performed. They were scheduled to pick up the doors on Monday and return the finished doors on Friday. Everything worked as scheduled. Actually the worked was more than I expected. Everything matched perfectly. The refinishing processed was perfect. Can't explain the process but I was delighted. I think perhaps they looked better than the original. The hinges looked new, provided new attachments for the screens although I would have preferred a lighter color other than black and since the patio door needed raising, plastic strips were added the bottom of the doors. Had I thought about it I would have replace the handles and the locks although the old one work fine, they look old now compared to the new doors.
