Ryan had done wrought iron on both of my children's homes. They were told to "Choose any design they wanted" and he would design the iron from what they had chosen. And that is exactly what he did! They each chose a pattern that suited their personalities and colors that complemented their homes. (They have so many colors and textures!) Because they had such great experiences with this company and it's employees, I saw no reason to look any further when it was time to give my house a facelift! I found a pattern on the internet that I liked. Ryan had to do some tweaking because of the size and style of my gates, but he so eloquently brought my gates, the awning and mailbox stand all together - each unique in it's own way, but each item built on the same pattern. It changed the look of my home! People comment to me and my neighbors about how beautiful the gates look - especially at night. Ryan made my front gate with a sandblasted glass hung on the inside of the door. We have a light above it and at night, the door.... just stands alone - it is gorgeous! He even put it in his website! Ryan and his team of talented installers, craftsmen, fabricators and sales people are truly unique! This small business is one that is here to stay and I very highly recommend anyone looking for any type of security - whether it's just an inexpensive door, or a house full of beautiful, unique iron - To use this company. They rock:)

I used this company 35 years ago as Barnett Security and was so pleased with the product and honesty of their people I remembered and looked to get them again. It is still in the family as Action Security. The salesman was efficient and friendly although he forgot to turn the order in for 1 month delaying the installation. That was not a problem, he was honest with me. My doors were installed by two wonderful, knowledgeable young men . When done there were lots of gaps where the metal frame was attached to house. When I brought it to their attention they caulked it and added some weather stripping so the door would close tighter. I also was pleased at how they cleaned up after themselves. I as disappointed by the quality of the hardware and that is my fault because for the price I paid I expected them to be a good grade but should have made sure. I am disappointed that I putt so much faith in them just because I knew the salesman from previous work and assumed they would be of equal quality as the doors. My biggest disappointment is I expected to get my Angie's list discount of 10% and was told only one discount per customer and I already used my ValPack cuppon. It did not say that on the add in Angie's list . Now I have the rest of my doors to do and have lost my confidence in Action. If they could show me where it says on their advertisement that only one discount will apply I could accept it even if I don't like it. I am not angry with anyone I just feel cheated. Now I don't know what to do to finish my house and have the doors match up. It is amazing how one person can upset the apple cart.

They designed and installed a beautiful split screen security door for our front entry. They even let me come by and see the work in progress so I could make sure the finish was just the way I wanted it. My wife was speechless when she saw it installed, and we haven't had any problems with it.

I made an appointment and went to the showroom where Dale told me in detail about their products. He made some suggestions that helped me pick the right design for my home. This was a difficult decision as they have many to choose from and he informed me they can also do custom designs if the customer has something in mind. We set a time for him to come to my home and take measurements and determine the color. Again, his advice led me to choose a darker color that I had in mind, but it was the right choice for my home. Two other men came to install the doors and it took about 1 1/2 hours. The doors are very sturdy, fit perfectly and totally meet the needs I have. I would have appreciated at call back from Dale or someone to check on my satisfaction with the install and doors, but that didn't happen. Still, I would have given a favorable response if asked. My friends and neighbors have all complimented the doors. I am very happy with the product and company and would recommend them.

Estimator came on time. Was helpful and made good suggestions about type of door needed. Install was on time and done quickly and very satisfied with work

I'm satisfied with our new gate. The installation was complicated by an out-of-alignment mounting surface. Installers successfully overcame this problem, with the use of many shims. Better up-fromt measurement would have avoided this problem. The installers also were not aware of a part of the design I had specified. They satisfied it with a work-around. So, it could have gone smoother, but the result is a good one.

Responded fast to request, installed door as advertised.

When the estimator was more than 10 minutes late for the scheduled appointment I called to verify when he would arrive and was informed that the appointment had been changed, without notifying me, to the afternoon. When I said I would be working at that time the dispatcher offered no real assistance. I was surprised at the lack of professionalism and extremely poor communication. Subsequently Ryan Bogue followed up, apologized for the front office scheduling and communication issue and adjusted his schedule to accommodate performing the estimate the following morning. He arrived promptly at the appointed time, efficiently gathered the info needed to support the estimate, provided me with a detailed explanation of the different options available to meet our needs, and even made some suggestions on things we could do inexpensively to bolster the security of our front door. I received the emailed estimate promptly.

The selection of what the company could make, to order, was large. The price was reasonable, and the 10% discount was given. Two trips were made to the residence, one to measure the door frame and the second to install it. They were punctual both times. The final product was outstanding.

This company did a great job! From the estimate, which was reasonable, to the final installation,which was on time and beautifully done, this is a business you want to work with. I have two very handsome and sturdy gates to my backyard. An improvement that makes me and my neighbors happy. I have no complaints and could not be happier.

Good selection, fair estimate, prompt service and a great result

I've used them a couple of times and they are absolutely a wonderful business. They do ornamental iron work, security fencing and railings. They've done fences around my properties and gates for me. They've done a lot of things for me and they do a wonderful job. Their staff is great and easy to work with. They are very punctual, very fair and easy to negotiate with as well. The gates were pretty substantial.

Action Iron Security were courteous on the phone when I made the appointment for the free estimate. The estimator arrived on time and gave me a quote I agreed with. I had a $100 off each gate coupon that made it a good deal. The estimator spent time with me to go over colors, designs, and give security advise. The gates look great and are very secure. Action Iron Security emphasize customer service. A few months after the gate install, they came to my home to repair a gate free of charge when the door began rubbing against the frame due to a loose bolt holding the frame to my stucco wall. Whenever I talk on the phone with them or see them in person, they treat me kindly and with respect. I liked doing business with this company. Their doors and gates are very good quality.

They went above and beyond and I am very happy with the results!

When I called, Ryan came out the next day to look and measure the current wooden gates we had. He brought books of pictures to look at of gates they had done in the past. Their work looked beautiful. Ryan gave me many good ideas of what I could do with the new gates. After talking back and forth, I went to their store on Menaul and saw the exact gate I wanted. It was a gate with a really cool looking Yucca. We sat down and designed the gates and set a start date. They started when they said they would and finished on time also. The guys that showed up to do the install were very professional and very nice to work with. The final product is so beautiful. My gates are incredible! My husband is even going to build up the wall on the side of our house so that the front gate can be moved closer to the street for everyone to see. At the end, Ryan surprised us with a decorative plate to match for the front of our house to cover up a unsightly vent. Thank you guys so much. WE LOVE OUR GATES.

It was a bad experience. When they put it in and when you do powder coating it should not be rushed. Especially with one rain, all the corners are rusting. I chased the salesman at work, he was always answering nicely but I almost have to chase him and I finally got him here and he said yes I better get the people here before it starts getting cold. I said I have visitors here I don't want to interrupt them, they sleep in that corner in that area. He said fine. He came and he said I bring the crew. He brought the crew, he said we are not going to take it out we are just going to bring a spray and spray it. I said no powder coating is not a spray paint. I said it's not even even all over the place. They came and I came back and there was nothing done and guys disappeared after. I'm not going to even bother with it, I'm just going to go ahead and have it done myself. But I paid full price. It shouldn't be that way. That was a bad experience all the way around. On top of it the guy would come and try to sell me like a multi-level marketing kind of product and the only reason he would come is because he was thinking I would buy something. After one rain the stain of the rust stained my threshold. The other issues too when they put the weathering strips they didn't do it right and it doesn't close very good. I called him back and I told him look and he said let me just trim it. He started trimming and doing half a job. They didn't respond in time and I had to chase them, they weren't professional because every time he come he would talk about different businesses and he wanted to sell me something. I don't know if it's the company it's self of the sales person all I know is I'm dealing with that individual. The company hired that individual and they are responsible for it.

Excellent! See or first reviews! We just contacted Action Iron for a VERY minor problem with one of our locks since they were still under warranty. We called and explained the EVER SO MINOR problem and we received a call directly back for service. Sadly, it was actually something we could deal with ourselves but the fact that we received a call back for service asap for something so simple and piddly should speak volumes about this company! If you need window bars, gates or anything iron related, go through these guys! If not, I promise I'll tell you, "We told you so....."

Door was ready ontime and was delivered for install. However, the powder coat on the door was uneven, and did not look right. I mentioned this to the installer, but he said it was dust. The door design itself was exactly what I ordered and looked great. After the door was hung it was obvious there was something wrong with the powder coat and the installer saw it as well. Without complaint the door was taken back to the shop, stripped and the correct powder coat was applied. It was gorgeous. I did make sure to stop by their shop to double check the powder coat color before the second installation attempt. I was received graciously and with apologies. The door was perfect and looks great. I would definitely use Action Security again.

So far they haven’t done any work. I decided to go with them after a pretty extensive search because they had a very good showroom and they were very communicative. They would call me if they say they would call me on Monday at a certain time. The estimator was a huge amount of help, very good and very willing to give different ideas like ways to lower the cost. They would be doing the sturdy doors for my French doors and two gates that lead to my backyard. They are going to take off the existing security windows and they are going to sandblast them and power coat them white. The estimate for the job is about $3200. I did use the 10% off from the Angie's List coupon.

They were all extremely helpful and professional and were more than willing to work with our design. We feel much more secure now and the door is a thing of beauty that adds to our house, rather than detracting from it. We would happily recommend them to everyone.

The owner came out to look at the area where I wanted the door; came on time, and called before arrival. I told him I was thinking of selling the house soon, AND HE SUGGESTED I BUY A LESS EXPENSIVE DOOR THAN THE ONE I WAS THINKING OF! He also pointed out that it matched my steel gate on the patio almost exactly! The guys came close to the time appointed, did a perfect job of installing, cleaned up nicely, and answered some questions I had about getting windows. (I did not find them here on Angie's List, as I was having trouble getting into the program. The guy I talked to about THAT, was sure it was the fault of my computer. I don't know what caused it, but it disappeared. I guess I should have mentioned that I was on Angie's.)

The work was perfectly done! All the welds looked so beautiful. There finishes on everything are flawless. All the other shops in town which I received quotes from don't offer the powder coating. Action Security Iron provides this as standard rather then an added expense. I could not be happier with the end product. There attitude for service at their showroom on Menaul showed through and through! After that experience I know I had hired the right contractor. Thank you so much Ryan for a job well done!!! SH

I had issues with the sales representative initially regarding punctuality and attention to detail. The sales representative in question was three hours late to the set time we had scheduled, then forgot to email me the drawing that my wife had designed. Two weeks passed since our first initial appointment and we still never received the drawing for review. After calling and reminding the sales representative who I was and the date of our meeting, he finally sent the drawing. Because there was such a lapse in time from our first meeting, he forgot the color that we agreed upon and had to make a second appointment to correct that issue. When the door arrived, the color and design was all wrong, so I ended up sending it back. After speaking with the owner of the company, we did correct the color and design. Once the finished product was installed June 20th, it looks amazing. Dale, the co-owner of the company and his assistant was very professional and did nice work. Would I use them again? Absolutely. The finished product was done well. Hopefully, next time I won't have the same issues as I did before.

Action Fencing came and gave an estimate that was considerably cheaper than 3 other estimates. I wanted fencing that looked good, blended in with my courtyard and didn't block any views, and would not deteriorate over time and not detract from the property. Once I accepted their bid, several employees came out and installed 4 posts. I week later two employees came out and installed the gates and fencing. The fencing looked great. One of the gates and support gating on my porch were crooked and did not align and looked sloppy. I called the office and text-ed pictures saying that it was not acceptable. They were very responsive and took the gate out and replaced it one week later. It looks great. The dogs can no longer get to the pool unless we let them in with us.
