Good communications, fast work, good quality. Temporary job performed to route around my leaks to stop the bleeding while I waited two weeks for my appointment. Not only did everything function well and not leak but the lines were strait and uniform and installed with care. To the potential customers out there... these guys get more done each time they show up and they let you know when they won't be there and then return when they said they would.

AB does a great job at a fair price. Their plumbers are polite and courteous and get the job done in clean manner.

Made an appointment for an estimate of urgency due to water main break. Initially given appointment with a two hour window. I had another appointment run late so I called the company and requested they come 30 minutes later. The plumber said he was ok with this change. My appointment window came and went with no plumber, as did the rest of the day. I received no call from the company to reschedule or explain.

I'm a senior and I don't go outside to inspect my house much, but I noticed my water bill had gone up pretty high so I went outside and I noticed water was flowing from the roof. I called A B plumbing and the lady said they certainly couldn't come out today. I told her the water is running, she said they couldn't come. She said they would come out the next day. The plumber was reluctant to come back to my house. I had to have my son fix the issue. Not only am I'm indifferent of them, but I don't feel they are qualified to do the work.

Very well. The plumbers arrived on time, worked under the house, small crawl space, but did the job promtly and professionaly. Added benefit the gas stove is saving momey for the tenant,

He called us promptly to give us a quote and worked very hard to get the job done quickly.

I was very impress with the knowledge of the technicians. They were patient in explaining what the problem was. Put everything back together and wrote up the problems so I could explain to the previous installers what was done wrong and needed to be fixed. I was please with their support and help.

Our tub faucet was clogged with mineral deposits. So we called A.B. Plumbing. They sent a plumber right away to inspect the faucet. He replaced the cartridge with a new one. The faucet works fine now.

When I need something, they come right out. He didn't charge me anything because it was under warranty. The workers are always very nice and easy to deal with. They communicate well, are very efficient, and professional.

was barely moved into my home, had out of town guests to assist with unpacking. The water heater pilot light went out and no one could not get it lit. My normal plumber could not make it so they recommended someone. That plumber had vehicle problems and could not make it so he recommended A B. I called them, told them the thermocouple needed replacing, gave them the make and model number of water heater. The receptionist said they had a plumber working in the area and would check to see if he could do it. I was then told he would be here by 4pm, it was now 11:30. At 4pm I was called and told they had to order part (which they should have know at 11:30 since I had given them all the info) and they would be here by 9 am the next morning if she had to go pick up the thermocouple while they were having morning staff meeting. I had already wasted a day when I needed to pick up another load from house, take mortgage papers to post office, etc. Since I did not think I had much choice, I said ok. Shortly after 9:30 I called office as I had not heard anything. I was then told that I was the 2nd stop and they would be here by 10:00. At 11:30 still no word, I then remember a friend that knew something about plumbing was off on Fridays so I called him and he came right over and fixed the problem. If they could not do the job they should have said so in order for me to continue my search for someone that could. The plumber did call shortly after noon.

They always do a really good job. The cost was less than we thought it would be on the last visit.

We were buying a home and during the inspection process discovered the house had polybutylene plumbing. After a recommendation from my home inspector I called A.B. Plumbing out for an estimate. I had also received estimates from several other companies including one which was slightly cheaper. After multiple conversations with both companies I decided to go with A.B. plumbing because I felt the most comfortable with them. When the estimate was given I was told the job would take 5-7 business days which was very important to me since I needed to move in shortly thereafter. They started work on Monday November 14th and told me they should be finished by Friday November 18th. They did not finish on the 18th but they did have the plumbing part of the job completed by Monday November 21st. While they were finishing up we already had a leak under one of our bathroom sinks that leaked behind my cabinets and into the carpet in the hall. That was repaired promptly. When the city inspector came out a few days later they failed the inspection due to a leak at the toilet and the master bath tub. Also, they did not properly seal the main line coming into the house and had my Dad not been here to fix it while the inspector was here that would have also been noted on the fail notice. They came out and repaired the leaks and then ordered another inspection which they passed. A.B. Plumbing then sent out some sub contractors to work on patching the 37 holes they had cut for the re-pipe. The sub contractors were extremely slow and did a terrible job! During the time they were working on the drywall I had another leak under a different bathroom sink and discovered that the washer box was installed with the hot and cold water lines switched. When I called and spoke to the owner Art Barbosa he told me he would just switch the knobs so that the hot hook up would now be on the right and the cold would be on the left (which is backwards). It was only after a call from someone with more construction knowledge than I that he agreed to actually fix the lines in the wall. When the drywallers completed their work you could see every seam, the texture didn't come close to matching, and in several areas there was drywall tape hanging out. I was out of town and Art came by to take a look at the drywall job. When I got back in town Art came by to see what I thought of the drywall patches. I told him I was not satisfied and he said that he thought some of the patches didn't look good. I'm wondering why he waited for me to tell him I wasn't happy if he already knew it didn't look great. He then called out another sub contractor to repair many of the patches that were originally done poorly. The new sub contractor did a good job repairing the drywall. After all was said and done the whole job took 34 business days! During this process I lost the use of many of my closets (including my master closets), had a perpetual mess in the house and had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate workers being at my house. For a job that was supposed to take 5-7 business days it really inconvenienced me for a long time. I recently submitted a letter to Art Barbosa to let him know that I am still not satisfied, I am awaiting a response.

We've used them since we moved here. It took about 1 1/2 hours for the water. They always stick to their estimates. They came a day or two after we called, which was no big deal.

Everyone at the company is very helpful and friendly. They explained exactly what needed to be done and gave a fair estimate. I have not gone ahead with the project, but I will call them once I do.

This company was recommended by my aunt and uncle who had a good experience with them. They responded well when I called and were very professional. Since I could not take time off work and had no hot water I really needed to work with the plumber to find a time when I could have someone else be there so they could do the estimate and then the work while communicating with me by phone. The plumber was wonderful and very patient with such an awkward situation.I really appreciated his extra effort given that we never actually met. The replacement heater has functioned well since it was installed. I would use the company again and would recommend to others.

Their overall quality was good - they used quality materials and workmanship was fine. They were timely for the most part but did not work the job continuously from day 1 - there were gaps when they went off to tend to other jobs. The repipe included insulation in the attic to prevent freezing in the winter - I found out later this was insufficient as I had a temporary freeze during a very cold snap.

They worked great. They were affordable and did what they said they would do. The estimate was right on to what I actually paid. If there’s something wrong, they’re very responsive in coming out to fix anything. They’re very professional, happy, and really care for the customer. This company will be the one that I call for all of my plumbing needs. I would highly recommend their services to anybody.

I thought I had escaped a frozen broken pipe(s) when the 50 yr. record breaking cold snap came here to the East Mountains of Central New Mexico.....well, I did have a few days where I had no water in my home but no indication of water damage anywhere. I was wrong and my local plumber, Sapphire Mechanical, wasn't able to do the repair(s) as it also appeared that I had at least two broken pipes, one of them underground that was connected to my outdoor water hydrant. I called several other Angie website Albuquerque Plumbers and the second one to respond was A B Plumbing. They were able to come out a day before my first response from Albuquerque Plumbling, Heating, and Cooling. I had been without water for nearly 10 days, so it was important to see which company would be able to come out ASAP. The two gentleman who came out the on Tuesday, 2/15/11, were great! No wasting time finding out exactly which pipe(s) were really broken and where it/they were located. They did have to make a trip to the local hardware store for a part, then back to work on only ONE broken pipe underneath the south side of the home next to my back door. Now I have a better water pipe and I know where my shut-off valve is located. I was pleased to have water again for a hot shower and dish/clothes washing...Heaven!

My wife and I have used A B Plumbing on several projects in the past they have always been responsive. Their plumbers were always courteous and very efficient explaining exactly what needed to be done and got our permission if changes needed to be made. This was the case for 4 projects in 3 years. Based on our recommendation our Homeowners Association contacted A B Plumbing to provide an estimate and complete a microwave venting project. This is the detail: 1. In June A B Plumbing was called and asked to provide an estimate on a microwave venting project for our Homeowners Association. The project was to begin with a single home and possibly expand to 15 other units. When we called; their desk staff immediately set up an appointment with an estimator who arrived that same day and evaluated the project. We explained the single and multiple projects involved. The estimator was very helpful and explained clearly how they would approach the project. He left told us that they would work up an estimate and send it to us via email. We called the office two days later and asked for the estimate and they promised they would get it to us that day. We received the estimate the following day. The estimate was reviewed by our homeowner and they agreed and sent back an signed acceptance via email. Another two days passed without contact from the A B Plumbing. We called again and asked if they received the signed approved estimate and they said they had. We asked when we could set an appointment for the work to be done. They told us that they would call us that day. Two days later we called back and explained that we had not received a scheduling call. The front desk staff seemed unconcerned and again told us that we would get a call back that day. We waited another day without a call. We called A B Plumbing and asked to speak to the scheduler and they told us that they would call us back. They never did and we went with another repair option for our homeowner and HOA. It is regrettable that A B Plumbing had been a very conscientious company and they performed well in the past. Their desk staff was rude and unhelpful at every call except for the initial estimate scheduling. They would never allow us to speak to the estimator again or to speak to another plumber. The desk staff drove the operation and drove us as a client for this project away from A B Plumbing. 2. In early February we had a garage utility sink fitting burst and a flood of water filled the garage and also leaked in our home. Although we had bad experience with A B Plumbing as described previously my wife an I decided that because they had done good work in the past we would give them another try. This was an emergency situation and my wife called A B Plumbing while I was trying to turn of the main water shut-off. My wife reached the desk staff after 5pm and they told us that although they were very busy they would have the "on call" plumber contact us. We thanked them and waited after we had turned of the main water shut off. After 4 hours we called back and we were tersely told that they would call when we reached the next in line. after 24 hours A B Plumbing has not called and we were able to repair the fitting and expect to have to repair drywall and check for mold. As a result of these two lack of performance situations I will no longer be able to provide a good reference for A B Plumbing again. Their plumbers are good and perform well but the front desk staff make it impossible to have a job completed. They lost out on a lucrative multi-home project and left us in a difficult emergency plumbing situation. This is unprecedented and unacceptable. Be wary of the lack of customer service of A B Plumbing. We will go to other companies for our personal and business plumbing needs in the future.

We used them because they were highly rated and my son was very pleased with their work. They did the job quickly, they did it well, and we are very pleased. They did good repair work but they also gave us good advice and pointed out things to be aware of. They were punctual, they were professional, they spent time explaining the work and what they saw, and they showed my son things that he should anticipate. They completed the work in a timely manner and we thought the charge was reasonable.

I called AB Plumbing with a summary of my leak problem, and we were able to come up with a mutually convenient time for a service call. A plumber and a plumber's helper arrived exactly at the time that we had agreed upon. They went right to work analyzing the problem, trying in every way they could to identify the source of the leak without opening the ceiling. Once it was determined that they had to cut a hole in the ceiling, every effort was made to do this in a way that would be easiest to repair. The leak was located and repaired promptly, once the ceiling was opened. When I asked if they knew a drywall repair person, I was told that AB Plumbing had a specialist available. The specialist contacted me, and we were able to establish a time for him to come to repair the hole in my ceiling. He was exactly on time, and, as already reported, he not only repaired the ceiling hole flawlessly, but also asked if I had other things that he could do while coats of plaster applied to the repair dried. My experience with AB Plumbing was excellent.

The receptionist scheduled a plumber to come out the next afternoon and said that the plumber would call just before arriving. I stayed home waiting from 12-6p. No call came. I called at 2p to confirm and the receptionist confirmed that I was on the schedule. I continued to wait. Nobody showed up. I called again at 5:30 and got the answering service, who was going to page "Andy" to call back. Nobody ever called. The next day I called to see what happened, and the receptionist said that she'd look into it and call me back to let me know. She never called back, either. I understand that this was a small job, but this was really unprofessional service. I wasted a lot of time hanging around for a non-existent plumber. I'm very surprised by this, given the otherwise pretty good Angies List reviews.

Not only did they do great the first time, we called them back a second time and they fixed another problem. Then, they showed me how to fix the problem myself in case anything happens again. His prices were way under everyone elses.

I spent about $5000. Two years after they installed the units, I had a major flooding problem. They didn’t followup. It was a minor problem for them. It would have been easy for them to come out and look at it. They wanted my money. My unit is placed between my house and my garage. I didn’t realize that not completely closing the door was affecting the condensation problem. So, there were 5 or 6 inches of water. I am single and I needed their help during that time. They didn’t come out and look at it. I called the guy and he wouldn’t have had a problem for coming out as he was the owner. He never followed up. I had used him before, but after I made the big investment, he never followed up. He told me that he would call me back and that he was really busy. He never got back to me. He didn’t even come out to look at the problem. It was a big deal to me. I had to call someone else for the job. I will never use this company again in the future.
