We have purchased firewood from A1 Firewood for quite a few years and have always been happy with their service. This year, we purchased a full cord of alligator juniper, with only 16' lengths and no branches, along with having them stack the wood. Their truck arrived well within the time window they gave us, and the wood appears to be of very good quality. The worker dumped our load of wood out of the truck bed onto our driveway. He then worked for the better part of an hour transporting the wood to the backyard, one wheelbarrow load after another, and did an outstanding job of stacking the wood. Then he swept up the driveway very thoroughly to remove all the excess bark, chips, and sawdust. The worker was courteous and polite.

We first purchased firewood from A-1 in 1997. After we stacked the wood we found that it was a tiny bit shy of a full cord. I called and was told they would bring additional wood. After waiting for a week we just forgot about it......... but then, to our surprise, two weeks later 1/3 cord of wood was dropped over the fence! We have been buying our firewood from A-1 ever since. They always deliver on time, and they always deliver a very good full cord. Their prices are reasonable, the driver is very good about placing the wood exactly where we want it, the office girls are very friendly and courteous, and we wouldn't buy from anyone else. We recommend them most highly!

I ordered by phone. The woman I spoke to was courteous, clear about the type of wood and pricing. We set a delivery time at 10:00 am a couple of days later. The delivery driver arrived about 30 minutes early, which was fine because I was already there. Our storage area is in the back yard. I had a heavy duty wheelbarrow, which the delivery man borrowed. I did not notice whether he had one on the truck. If he had not, it would have been a long morning transferring wood to the backyard!. As it was, he finished in about an hour, the wood was stacked very neatly. He was courteous and brisk. I have a small stove that requires relatively short cut wood. The wood delivered was exactly as advertised, 16-18 inches, mostly closer to 16. I measured out the load and it was a full cord. I would order from them again.

Be sure to request the stacking service (extra $25) if you want it. They delivered the wood promptly (same day!) and stacked the wood so neatly I hate to burn it and mess up the beautiful stack!

Delivery was prompt. Price was a little high, but wood quality was good.I stacked the wood and it was pretty close to what I call a cord. (funny how with wood it always seems a little short instead of over) I have gotten much less wood sold as a cord so this is fairly positive. I will probably buy from them again, especially since the wood was split into good sized pieces that I won't have to split again for my stove.

Called on a Friday and had the wood on Monday. Both the office staff and driver were professional. Will use this compkany again this winter I'm sure.

Driver arrived slightly later than promised, but this was not a problem. He did an exceptional job of stacking the wood. He took his time to get the stack perfectly square and even. The wood appears to be nicely dry and of good quality.

It went fine overall. One day delivery. Good quality firewood. Accurately measured 1/2 cord.
