Elizabeth at the office scheduled George to come out for the inspection. Both were very professional. Received a call from George when he was running a tiny 10 minutes behind. Very courteous. The advice on the fix was just what I needed and the letter to the potential buyer regarding the house settling and the structural integrity being intact helped me sell the house

We were in the middle of a major renovation and our contractor, for structural reasons, had to place a pole towards the entrance of our home in our living room . He told us it would most likely be $8000.00 to remove it. We were very frustrated because we didn't have the money to remove the pole. A friend had recommended Lallygone. We called and they were EXTREMELY responsive and professional and did the job immediately. We were thrilled when George came to estimate the job and it was less than half of what our contractor said it would be!!! His team was polite, courteous, super clean and did an impeccable job. I would absolutely recommend Lallygone to anyone!

Watch out! Do not use this company as they will put your structure at risk. George Nader the owner is a con artist. He came to my home in NY this March, presented himself as a NYS licensed engineer and lied about schedule, plans, permits, licenses throughout our project. Eventually his team carried out the work without a permit or license, the work was not supervised by an engineer and eventually didn't pass our town's building department inspection. They didn't build footings under load bearing posts, rested beams on partial support, didn't block posts where necessary and caused massive delays to our project. In the end we had to remove their posts, build footings, add blocking, add additional posts, hire a third party engineer to approve the safety of the structure after his recommendations were implemented and do another building department inspection. Do not assume that by removing a post or a wall this company does great service. They undermine the structural integrity of your structure! George Nader will attack this review like he has done on the multiple bad reviews on other sites. Be warned!

[Member Name Removed], as I told you the last time we spoke I am terribly sorry that you [Member Name Removed] into trouble on your project. I am disappointed that you decided to lay the blame on all the people who did exactly what you asked of them and then some. You decided to spend your day making accusations and spreading your distorted version of the facts all over the web for the sole purpose of hurting me, my employees and our families. I hope you feel better, we will survive your anger because we have thousands of customers none of whom are family members that vouch for us. The work we've done at your house is nothing short of professional, and has been done in a form or another to thousands of happy customers. I hope things will take a turn for the better and that we all learn from this experience. As always you are welcome to call me at my direct number (973) 277 6789 if I can help. Sincerely George Nader, PE

The system was installed in a week and worked flawlessly until the time that we sold our shore home. The home was purchased by an engineer who told us that the deciding factor in he and his wife purchasing our home, was the thought and engineering behind the system. Once completed, we were the only ones in our neighborhood that did not have a problem with water. Larry Stoll made it happen when other companies appeared baffled at our problem.
Description of Work: The company rep Larry Stoll spent countless hours assessing and designing a system to relieve the hydrostatic pressure in the floor of our home in Point Pleasant Beach. The floor was built on a slab. The home was situated appx. 75 feet from a tidal lake and despite the presence of an interior system with trenching and pumps, we still had water pushing through the floor at those times when high tides and heavy rains occurred together.

We were in the final stages of an already difficult basement remodel (broken sewer pipe) when, after a moderate rain, we awoke to two inches of water in the basement. Our re-modeler, Better Basements, called Larry Stoll. Larry dropped everything to inspect my job. He carefully explained why we were getting water, what to do about it and what the remediation (he taught me big words too) would cost. His presentation was thorough, enthusiastic and easy to understand. I was surprised to hear him say that he would stop the job he was on and take care of our basement (by then a swimming pool). His team showed up the next morning and started work. I was amazed at how qiuckly and efficiently they moved the walls (yes my walls were already up) squeezed behind them and jack hammered the trough, laid the gravel and the pipe. We needed a dry well installed too and they handled it with no problem. It's been nearly two years and I couldn't be happier with the job. This kind of quality, honest businessman is what we need more of in this world. Thanks Larry for the rescue, a great job and caring about your customers.

Larry's team were very thorough and did a fantastic job of turning a damp unuseful basement into a room that we could confidently finish and use. The work was done quickly and with very little mess. I was very impressed with the workmanship. Larry is incredibly knowledgeable and inspected our entire property before advising on a suitable solution. He is very personable and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend as the client would be in very safe hands.

I had contacted StructuralMD as I had a sagging floor in my kitchen and I was worried that it would sag more and cause more damage. I had contacted some home improvement guys who had advised putting smart jacks and jacking up the floor. All of them used aggressive sales tactics trying to scare me into buying their services/products.However I thought of showing it to a structural engineer. Larry came on time and had a careful look at the beam and suggested that it wasnot going to sag any more.He advised not to waste money trying to support it .He also said that jacking up the floor will do more harm than good as it would mess up the doors nearby. He also inspected entire house for structural defects and explained everything in great detail. The house was built in 70s and certain rooms were added in 2001 and some more additions were done later by the previous owner. Larry could easily tell that. You could say he is very experienced and knowledgable. The best part is that he did not try to convince me into spending money for things that were not needed to be done, although their sister company does home improvements. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to get a structural inspection done.

I initially reached out to LallyGone's StructuredMD for $495 structured Inspection package while I was buying a house. One of the engineers Larry came to inspect the house and he did a great job in explaining what went wrong. In front of me, my wife and realtor, he gave me a quote of 2200 and 600 for repair of each crack between addition and the original house. I told the seller that it will be $2800 for the total repair. Interestingly, the cost estimates on structural report came out at 4400 instead of 2800. Larry's email was not provided so I asked George, but George did not reply to any of my email on why the cost has changed. Seller was freaked out by $1600 increase and refused to provide any credit toward repairs. Waste of $495. Thank god my realtor gave me 500 credit for structural inspection out of her commission so I let this one go. After the house closed, I didn't want to waste another time or money on structural inspection of the house so I ended up calling Lallygone again. Larry said he couldn't remember 2800 quote but decided to give me a little discount on 4400 and make it 3500. It look Larry almost a week to get back to me on the paperwork and I had to be the one calling him throughout the whole week. He kept on saying he was busy. Finally after two weeks we finally got the structural issue remediated. They came and worked hard throughout the entire day in the midst of rain and I was impressed that this 3 day job was completed within a day. They found out that house didn't even have a connection underneath so they added a brand new beam. Everything was cleaned and it was all done properly so that repaired wall can just be painted over. Larry and George finally actively reached out to me when it came the time to make payment and time to write a review. I would personally want to give F for poor communication and deceptive pricing how 2800 became 4400 but overall they got the job done professionally and always responded professionally IF THEY happened to pick up the call. I would definitely use them again one more time primarily due to their work quality and not due to their communication. If you do hear any quote from Larry or George, I would have him give you a written quote or write it down so that it doesn't magically increase again. I hope this is as objective it can get since it was a mixed quality transaction. They are busy and was not perfect but in the end tried hard to make up for what they promised. I give them more credit for that.

Inspection was relaxed and conversational, which was fine until we weren't provided the followup price quote and detailed findings document. Disappointing. We got what we wanted, an understanding of our current situation but we would have likely moved forward with 2 floor levellings (~7k) if he had followed up. He also took several personal calls during his 20 minutes in our home b/c his wife was out of town. We excused it at the time, but now kind of wish we were more particular.

When looking to buy a house in Kinnelon, we discovered a horizontal crack in the foundation and a slightly bowed wall during the normal home inspections. We were then advised to retain the services of a structural engineer before continuing with the pruchase. We found Lallygone on Angie's list and because of their glowing reviews, purchased an inspection package. We were soon contacted by Elizabeth at Lallygone, LLC, and we were able to quickly and efficiently schedule a structural inspection of the home we were looking to purchase. Larry Stoll, the structural specialist arrived on time and performed a thorough multi-hour of the structural aspects of the home from the basement through the upper floors. He went through every last detail, pointing out red flags, potential causes, and the consequential effects of the problems in the basement foundation. He ran moisture readings, took photographs, and made more measurements and level-inspections than I could count. He was able to zero in on the most significant problems, expanded upon some other areas that we had not anticipated, and ultimately gave us the information we needed to go back to the sellers with the full scope of the issues at hand. After presenting those finding to the sellers and making a new offer, Lallygone even worked with us to put together a potential repair/financing scenario that would have allowed both the sellers and us (the buyers) an extremely beneficial situation in terms of financial risk and out of pocket costs. They had no reason to offer this to us besides great customer service and an honest effort ot provide quality services. Unfortunately, we had to terminate the contract on the purchase of the home because the sellers were unwilling to budge to their own demise, but without Lallygone and their help, we may have found ourselves in a very serious financial situation with a home that could have cost us years on our lives. If anyone reads this in regard to 11 Cedar Trail in Kinnelon, NJ ? be aware that the house has serious foundational problems. I would never hesitate to recommend this company or the people that work for them. They were true professionals. Though I cannot comment on their actual work since we never got to that point, I can vouch for their knowledge and business practices, as well as their ability to communicate quickly and efficiently ? even on nights and weekends when I never would have expected them to be so accommodating.
Description of Work: After contacting/purchasing a structural inspection package from Lallygone, LLC they performed a deep and comprehensive inspection of the home I was looking to buy by providing on-site details, advice, recommendations, and a thorough written report within the following week.

Response from StructuralMD
We have never been hired by this person or ever met him. We have only had a few phone calls in which we extended free consultation advice but were not certain we were the right company to help him with his issue. Based on our Angie's List reviews, he solicited our services for structural issues he is having in his townhouse that is owned by his parents. Our engineer had numerous phone conversations with him pertaining to his desire to litigate the next door property owners regarding a major construction project that he believes has impacted his townhouse. Our engineer reviewed numerous videos of Mr. [Member Name Removed] with a glass of wine in his home in which the wine appears to be rippling while the excavation was taking place outside his home. While we express sympathy with his speculation, our engineer was not able to reach the same conclusions based on anectodal video. No one from our company has ever met this individual, been on his property, or expressed any interest in providing him with any of our services. In fact the first time he called, that same day our office expressed that we may be unable to help him and advised him to seek local professionals who would be more familiar with the factors, if any, that would have impacted the townhouse from the adjacent construction. Still he continued to want to discuss the situation with us. We are baffled by the fact that this individual even decided to review our services since he never hired us nor did we ever express any interest or solicited him for any of our services. While our mission is always to serve all the interests of our clients, we are very reluctant to pursue any kind of relationship with this person based on these strange developments.

Larry came over and took out his laser level and it was impressive as to how it's measured. Said the header was fine and everything was within tolerance. Actually took the time to check the door, said there was enough room to lower it and showed me how to. He didn't have to do that. Great customer service. Door now slides perfectly. Some businesses will sell you something that you don't need. LallyGone does not work that way. There was no charge at all. Very impressive. Between the knowledge, professionalism and honesty...you can't go wrong with LallyGone. I highly recommend.!!!

We just bought the home and were advised to repair the garage fairly immediately due to structural issues (think of a pentagon! Walls were bowing). Larry, Jerry and the team arrived on time and began working within seconds. Seriously, the hardest working crew I've ever seen. For at least six to eight hours for four days, they drilled, hammered, jacked up the roof, poured concrete, etc. so that our garage could be structurally sound ensuring that it would be safe for our family (and more importantly to our kids, their bikes)! Throughout the process, they explained what they were doing, showed us how they were strengthening the walls and took great care with our property (we didn't even need to be home and they cleaned up every day). In fact, I didn't even know that they were done until I went to check on them and saw an immaculate garage (cleaned, all debris, tools, etc. removed). What a relief. The idea that the garage could collapse and either hurt us or our neighbors was daunting. Within four days, all of those concerns were gone and we feel like our home is complete. Thanks George, Elizabeth, Larry, Jerry and the team!!
