When it's time to repaint your exterior it's important to hire the right painter. Hiring the cheapest painter may save you a few dollars but having a professional company gives you peace of mind knowing it's done right. And guaranteed by a solid company. While the lowest price "painter" may cut corners prepping, using cheap paint & unskilled painters our company Straight Line Painters and Services LLC gives you the best value. Skilled full-time painters, quality prep & premium PPG / Porter Paints and we're upfront with what we do listing our scope of work & warranties on our website. So many painters here come & go, hire one year, and next year he's nowhere to be found so his "guarantee" is not much good. At Straight Line Painters LLC we hire skilled painters not laborers and have been in the painting trade for over 15 years.
"I was selling my house in Philadelphia and had to repaint it because it was painted with murals and bold colors. I had already moved to Florida, so I had to blindly pick a contractor from afar. Odes from Straight Line Painters sounded trustworthy over the phone and had the fastest response time. He did use broken English, but in a pinch I had to go with him because the other contractors were all booked up and busy for months. He was able to start my house the following week and came in via the realtor’s lockbox. The first quote did not include baseboards, because I just wanted to flip the home quickly and I the baseboards looked good already. That estimate was $2996. He then said I needed the baseboards and ceilings done or it would look too sloppy. So I reluctantly agreed to requote. The requote included the whole house, plainly stated room by room in the contract. It included interiors, ceilings, and baseboards. The new total was $4515. Odes finished in one week and sent pictures that looked pretty good from the distance they were taken. I couldn’t notice the murals or mistakes when I zoomed in, but the pictures were not high quality from the painter’s phone. I thought the job was complete, so I paid Odes. The potential buyer came in the house and relayed to me through realtors that the painters missed the whole main wall (muraled with faux brick). So I frantically called Odes and said he had to go back and complete the wall. He told me that it was a misunderstanding and that he thought he wasn’t supposed to do that wall. I never said that. That wall was the main reason I was repainting my house, because the new potential buyers did not like it. The contract plainly states the entire family room. So he finally went back after telling me 3 different times he would try to squeeze it in. He sent an unprofessional painter and it looked horrendous. You could still see the mural and the dripping paint. I had him come two more times and it still looked horrible. My realtor came to visually inspect and realized the entire house looked pretty bad. He sent images of light switches painted over in gray, drippings, images of faded murals, uneven spots, and entirely missed spots. They also did not clean up after themselves and dirt was everywhere. Unfortunately I cannot say he was a professional painter after all was said and done. I almost lost the sale of the home and had to pay another painter out of pocket to fix all his mistakes. He even had the nerve to ask me for $250 more dollars for the wall he had to redo, which was horribly done and still unfinished. If it was done right the first time, none of these problems would have happened. I cannot recommend this company."
