A few misunderstandings & and a lack of empathy First there was confusion about the time. They did not tell me that I had to respond to them by telephone before they arrive. I figured we set the time and that they would show up during the hours we previously agreed to. I was busy doing things around the house and ignored the phone so I could get things done. So when they did not arrive I called and was told they had attempted to reach me. Meanwhile I had told them the day before that I had a tight work deadline and I was really clear about the time frame. Misunderstanding number two...I thought I would be able to use the discount coupon I got on Angie's list but since I did not get them to do the work, as there was according to them no work for them to do, I could not use the discount for the rather expensive assessment. Misunderstanding number three...I assumed they would give me advice regarding what was wrong and how to avoid having it happen again but instead, the repair man was somewhat abrupt, and perfunctory. Seriously, after you tell someone that they will have to get a new washing machine as the one they have has some kind of gear problem and that it is "unfixable" and a new garbage disposal because it also broke in a manner that made it unfixable and that nonetheless they have to write a big check to a repair person to get that news, somehow I feel that a little sympathy might have been in order. When I pointed out to the repairman that he was being abrupt and lacking in empathy. He seemed surprised but then attempted to be nicer. It was as if it had not occurred to him that part of customer service is making the customer feel that you are a smart and kind expert.

We had a faulty ice maker for our refrigerator. While they didn't perform the service,the did come for an assessment. They told me I needed a full replacement of the ice maker for a price that seemed very high. The coupon via Angie's worked, so we just paid 120. (which apparently would have come off the repair price had we used them)

Jeff from Anytime Repair came promptly, diagnosed the problem (pump failure), and told us how much it would cost to repair. A $400+ repair for an old dishwasher could be difficult to justify, but in our case, as we are planning to remodel the kitchen in the near future, we did not want to buy a new one at this time. Once we gave the go ahead, they immediately ordered the part and Jeff came promptly to install it. The dishwasher is now working beautifully. Jeff is capable and thorough. We had used him previously in repairing our refrigerator.

$150 for service call [waived if I agree to repair]. Tech determined it was the Water Inlet Valve [cold water] that was leaking. He suggested to replace both cold and hot inlet valve. I was quoted $450 [$150 for cold water valve, $50 for hot water valve, and $250 for labor]. Everything went well. No complaints but the price seemed kinda high [not sure if the labor was high because my units are stacked]. It's hard to get multiple quotes if all the service providers charge a service fee.

They do not service my area...in spite of what their website indicates. Their site states Union County, but when I contacted them for service in Linden, I was referred to someone else.

They're now working the way they're supposed to. Quick response and service.

The service was prompt and courteous and the technician was very knowlegable. Unfortunately, my machine needs to be replaced. The technician was happy to discuss with me what to look for in a new machine and what manufacturers he recommended.

Excellent service. They replied within minutes of submitting an inquiry. Were extremely flexible on timing and had someone come out at 7am the next morning. He called 15 mins before arriving and arrived promptly. Quick, courteous service. Didn't try to convince me to pay him to try to fix it, but instead encouraged me not to spend the money on short term repairs and to replace instead. Very professional.

After a complete inspection, the observation was made that there was too much soap left in the unit. An inexpensive quarterly maintenance suggestion was made (run the washer with cups of white vinegar), and that should likely solve the issue. If not, I should reach out and he would return. There was no obvious evidence of a faulty gasket, so he was HONEST and did not want to charge me for parts that may not be needed. Todd was very professional and thorough. I will recommend him to any/all that need a major appliance serviced.

this is in the three strikes and you're out category first visit tech claimed the problem was caused by clogged discharge vent he was in and out in less than 20min $92 charge original problem continued (check vent light on w/dryer not getting hot clothes need multiple extended cycles to dry clothes) analysis was done over the phone and they determined the coil needed to be replaced and a second visit was scheduled after parts (coil) were ordered they were installed a few days later tech said dryer was operating properly $283.00 repair with $92 credit for first (unsuccessful) repair dryer continued with the same problem a third visit was scheduled for the next day todd came to do it himself and was here for a short period of time and said appliance was repaired and working properly we went outside together and checked the discharge which was clear and moisture emitting during normal cycle I got ready to leave for work and checked dryer and the original problem (check vent indicator light on and little heat) sent todd a text and told him i would pay for the parts they installed upon receipt of an invoice with the part number on it and let him know i was disputing the remainder of the charges (labor) with our credit card company in less than a minute he called me and a very unpleasant conversation began about do you really need to do that and go that route I told him there were three attempts to repair the appliance without success and we were not interested in continuing the guessing game about what might be wrong with the dryer I also reminded him that the first tech was in and out in less than 20 minutes following an "opinion" (clogged discharge) about why the dryer was not working the first tech took the easy way out the second tech claims they replaced parts (coil) and when todd comes he is in and out in less than a half hour I'm not sure what they carry in the toolbox but no in depth testing could have been done to determine the real problem in the limited amount of time any of the three people (todd included) spent here when I asked todd to define the parts they replaced he gave me a vague response about the coil (which they told us had to be ordered) but no specifics were included on the invoice just a single line that stated dryer serviced and part installed with a price tag of $283 my father in law who was a great mechanic had a saying he tested us with constantly "are you a mechanic or are you a parts changer" our impression of this outfit falls in the latter buyer beware enough said

Scheduling was easy and responsive. Todd was on time, friendly and professional. The work was completed quickly and we are back in business. Our washer and dryer get a good work out and are about 7-years old, so replacing this part was not a surprise. I was fretting as I had a lot of laundry to do and could only work from home today (Wednesday) or Friday, and I didn't want to wait until Friday, unless absolutely necessary. I am very happy how easy and stress free this transaction was. Seems a bit pricey, but I have nothing to compare it to. Convenience outweighs cost to me. Now back to getting the laundry done!

He was able to do the work but the customer service was not good. I thought the way that he handled inquiries and the home owner was unprofessional. He was condescending. He can do the job and do it well but he was rude.

Response was very quick and options were explained clearly. Todd vacuumed the dust build-up under the drum, replaced the necessary part and left the work area very neat.

Called Anytime Service Expert Appliance Repair Service to come out and provide an estimate for a repair to my GE Profile refridgerator. They came the same day (June 26) - which was nice - within an hour of when they said they would arrive. Todd was the repair man's name. He was polite but a bit condescending to me. He quoted a inclusive price for the repair - it included part and service. Part was $177 and labor was $162. At first he did not want to give me the breakdown between part and labor - which I thought was odd. He said he didn't know it and his dispatcher just gives him the full price of repair. I insisted the breakdown between parts and labor. He did call his dispatcher and get that for me. I told him the labor seemed high to me and he just kind of shrugged and said that it was a standard rate. Since I was already in for the $85 charge for the visit - I felt I couldn't back out. Todd made me pay for the repair in full at that point - which again is unusual. Repair firms that I have worked with in the past make you pay the initial visit fee when they come out and the balance when they come back with the part and complete the work. Todd returned today and installed the part. It took 5 minutes to install the part and he was at my house for less than 10 minutes in total. I believe the labor cost was way out of line for the service provided and I will not be doing business with them again.

I called Anytime first thing in the morning and they had someone out a couple of hours later. He was professional and thorough, and carefully explained his process and the overall situation. I have a very old cooktop that still runs fine, but a lot of gunk had accumulated and I was hesitant to try and clean it myself. The burners now all work fine and the cooktop is much cleaner overall. I should also mention that Anytime had previously repaired my dishwasher with the same professionalism and punctuality.

The service was good. There were no problems. They showed up on time. I used them twice in the last year-and-a-half.

I called him to fix the washer and he said that he was just coming out to diagnose the issue not to fix the washer. He then quoted me a high price to fix the washer which I declined. I asked him to leave the broken part of the washer which he refused to do.

Quickly and professionally diagnosed problem with a sub zero refrigerator. Was cost effective, polite, professional, helpful, etc.

Called on a Monday, service tech available next morning for service call. Quickly diagnosed leaking drain hose. Indicated the replacement hose was in stock and it would take a couple of days. Paid for repairs day of diagnostics. I found the repair to be very expensive ($225! The part would have cost me less than $25 on amazon.com), but I am not a DIYer and was scared to get in over my head attempting to do it myself. I didn't hear back in a 'couple of days', so called on Saturday. Scheduled next visit for Tuesday. Repair/replacing the part went well, and service person, Jeff, was professional. Would hire again if absolutely needed.

I was very pleased with the service. Jeff was personable and knowledgable and equipped on the truck with everything needed to fix the oven. He helped me to understand how the oven works, which I appreciate. A follow up letter was also sent with a discount for a future service. Bravo!

Todd took my phone call, listened and was very easy to work with.

The guy that came to my house was very nice and personable. He really tried hard to explain how to use the burner without repairing it. however, he went through the same trouble shooting techniques that I went through using the service manual. Basically tried to make sure that nothing is blocking the burner. He did not take anything apart. Just picked up the burner to make sure there is no debris. Expected more expertise from a professional large appliance company. In the end of the day that's why I hired them for . Service call is 130+ tax and the $15 angies list coupon is not excepted for the service call.

We had only been living in our new home a month when our 10year Jenn air oven stopped working. Having no experience of what to do we first called sears where the previous owners bought the range, but they couldn't come out for a week so I went to angie's list and found Anytime. They came out 2 days later. Jeff arrived and performed a diagnostic exam and determined it was the circuit board which was going to cost over $600. We debated on buying a new range altogether but having just bought a house we decided to get it fixed. Jeff came out a week later and was having trouble and after 3 hours realized unfortunately Jenn Air sent them a faulty board. This made us question the range again and we ultimately bought a new range. I was beyond frustrated not having an oven for two weeks and not feeling confident that the fix would be a sustainable solution. Anytime was super responsive and understanding to our plight. They did not charge us for the second service call (even though it was def. not their fault). This spoke VOLUMES about their reputation and as new home owners they are now our go-to repair company if or when then next hiccup happens.

Repair service was scheduled promptly and repairman showed up on time. He found the problem to be that a beam was supposed to go across the freezer to see if the ice container was full or needed more ice and that the mechanism was malfunctioning. He tried to fix it but said he needed a new part and that they would call when the part came in. I was charged for the part when it was ordered. That night the icemaker started working again, so obviously he was able to fix it and the part he had was able to fix the problem. When the new part came in and we told them the machine was working, they cancelled the charge for the part. In addition, I asked the repaariman if he worked on dryers, since the dryer to our washing machine was not completely drying the clothes. He gave me the number of a firm that blows out the exhaust line and told me that was normally what caused this problem. He told me they often recommend that company and they do a good job. He said he would look at it when he returned if the blowout did not work. The blowout did the job. Obviously, his suggestion saved us the cost of a specific call for the dryer. We would definitely use this company again.
