After the work, they had to return two more times because the squirrels kept returning. The last time they came they sealed a squirrel in my attic. When I called to have it removed they told me I must call someone from pest control to remove it even though they sealed it in. So now I must pay for an additional service after I paid them $3,000.

My request for an appointment was answered immediately and he arrived on time. However, the response to the problem was to remove all of the insulation in the two attics, bleach everything and then spray in all new insulation. This was way beyond what I wanted done and the cost was way beyond what I wanted to spend so I did not hire them.

Our attic is by the bedroom and we are useing it a lot. We have wanted to clean it up for the past 5 years but didn't know where to start. I was excited to see a coupon for Attic Care so I called and set up an appointment. The technician came on time and took a lot of pictures of spots we couldn?t see. We had this old dusty insulation called cellulose which is practically little pieces with A LOT of duct animal drooping and dirt. My son has bad allergies so I knew I had to get it done. The crew was very polite, professional and worked really hard. The project took 2 full days they vacuumed all the old insulation, worked on the roof, used foam around the outside of the house and than install new insulation. The attic smell very clean. Great company, I couldn't be any happier!

I allowed them to come the very day that I called and they said they would waive the fee of moving the contents out of the attic. Interestingly enough, I don't think the installer knew about that and he tried to offer me a good deal to empty the attic. Most of the job was neat, but I think the installer was in a hurry.

I called Atticare last winter to help me with a raccoon problem. This monster came to visit my attic every winter and created a lot of damages. Last winter the raccoon chew through my air ductS and I decided to end this madness Atticare removed the old insulation and then vacuumed my entire attic. They also sprayed bleach all over the place to get rid of the bad smell up there and closed all the entry points to my attic so the raccoon won?t come back. I also had a few air ducts that were in really bad shape so they also removed and replaced them with new ones. I won't lie, the process in itself is messy, but the crew worked really hard and tried to be as clean as possible and covered the entire floor with plastic leaving nothing behind when they were done. when the crew was finished they cleaned and vacuumed the entire area and showed me the result- my attic was completely clean. A week after the job was done I got a call from one of the managers following up to see if everything was to my satisfaction, which was nice because that is not very typical of most service providers I have worked with before. Bottom line is, price wasn't cheap but I had no choice but to get it done. I am now again in communication with them to add new insulation next month.

I signed on to angies list after my brothers recommendation in order to find a contractor to clean my attic. I found attic care and called so they can inspect my attic. The technician Ronnie was very professional, prompt and informative, he recommended to replace my insulation since I have a lot of mice droppings. I decided to do my research like I always do. This is what I found: 1.To my surprise I found that all the other companies were very happy to install new insulation but nobody recommended me to get rid of my old dirty insulation which is in my opinion just ridiculous. 2. After reading a lot of reviews about Atticare I realized that most of the unhappy customers didn't actually hire atticare they simply didn't like the inspection process or the price which is by the way a fair price if you look on the overall services and the one year warranty they offer. 3.I found cheaper companies to install insulation but what you really want to do is to get the attic cleaned up first then sanitize, block access points so rodents wont come back and only then install new insulation. This is the correct way to fix the problem and that's exactly what Atticare offered to do. I booked the project with Atticare because I got the feeling they will do the best job and I'm glad I did. They were on time, clean and did exactly what they promised. I will not hesitate hiring them or recommending them to anyone with the same problem, The quality of the services they provide is unquestionable.

UPDATE: I am pleased to report that a general manager, Shawn, contacted me after reading my review below and made it his personal mission to resolve these issues. Apologies and explanations were provided at length, as well as an inspection by the general manager himself. I have renewed faith that Atticare is committed to customer satisfaction. Grades have been updated. This is the first time in 3 years that Angie's List has led me astray. Initial phone appointment was pleasant, and consultation/estimate was also pleasant. Ron was thorough and polite. He gave us a full quote on the spot, and even made the "can we get her a better price" phone call that I've seen lots of contractors try to fool me with. But whatever, the price seemed fair, and the quote was more thorough, but almost double, what another contractor quoted. With a baby on the way, I didn't want to mess around, so I thought I was paying for quality and professionalism. The next day, contractors came about 10 minutes early (a little annoying, but I get it, attics are hot). They protected the floors on the first floor and up the stairs, but not on the 2nd floor or even in the hallway right where the attic access was. Needless to say, the mess they left was disgusting. Not insulation mess, just black icky gooey boot mess. I vacuumed twice, mopped twice, Mr. Clean Eraser-ed the entire floor, then mopped again. Terrible fingerprints all over the walls and my toilet. Outside, there was insulation mess on the back deck where they were throwing out the old insulation and blowing in the new. The rest of the mess they had outside (materials, water bottles, etc.) was sufficiently cleaned up. One part of the attic they said was inaccessible, so they credited me a portion of the balance due. Fine. Oh, and they pulled a coaxial cable cord out of my wall, we have to figure out how to re-install that. Also, it would be nice if they took before-and-after pictures so I can see for myself the quality and thoroughness of the completed project. I have no idea except to take them at their word if they installed rodent protection. Just a mess. I should say that the insulation does look nice, but what do I know.

Awesome team! I was searching long time for the right company to remove and replace my attic insulation because it gets VERY hot in the summer. I also had a lot of storage items in my attic and I needed someone to bring everything down so I can take a look and get rid of old stuff. Ron the technician came on time, gave me a lot of useful information and a very competitive offer so I decided to go with it. My overall experience was very good, the crew worked very hard, placed protective plastic on my floor and did a very clean job. I can already feel the difference, my attic smells great and I feel better, I was surprised when my allergies were reduced. And it's only the beginning ? A special thanks to Elvin the supervisor who took the extra time to fix my light bulbs and made sure everything is going according to plan.

This company tries to scare you into having a bunch of work done. They told me my attic was full of mold. They said all of my blanket insulation was black because of mold. Being a 9 months pregnant and having a 3 year old in the house all day, I was terrified. I had three other companies in over the next day that told me that my insulation was simply dirty due to age and some ventilation issues. We did have two small areas of mold, but nothing like what Atticare was saying. They just want your money. They would probably have done a fine job replacing all the insulation and flooring in my attic, but I would be living in a van down by the river for what it would have cost me. Also, I had them type on the contract that we could get the 10% deposit back if we decided against hiring them. It was right there on the contract with a signature next to it. Of course, when we went to get our deposit back, it was a huge hassle. My husband ended up having to call the company three times, the last time yelling and threatening. It took two weeks to get it back. Beware!

They do not service anything other than "large" houses - cottages / other out structures, such as a pool house are to small for them to quote or provide services. Initially they said it was a licensing issue, when pushed on the matter, the person answering the phone said that anything other than a large main home would be to small for them to have any interest - thus they would not come out to inspect and quote.

The appraiser was very prompt, very polite and very responsive. He explained what was needed and why. Later, I was able to contact him easily through the company number with multiple, additional questions. He seemed to work with me to make the expenses as economical as possible by scheduling in close proximity to another job. It was a big job, so it took 2 days and 3-4 men. The workers were polite, explained what they did and they cleaned up very well - no garbage or materials were left. I am hopeful this fixes everything, but we will see if the remediation is permanent only as time goes by. The warrantly is for only a year.

They thoroughly checked all areas, they re-disinfected the space (which was still clean from their visit 5 months ago) and they secure up even more areas. These people are fantastic.

Vic and his crew did a fantastic job in my nasty attic! They arrived on time, were VERY POLITE, called before they arrived and left my garage (their access point) cleaner than when they arrived. My attic now looks like new construction. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to start fresh in the attic....new insulation is on the way. A pleasure to deal with contractors who deliver what and when they promise! If you find that you have unexplainable spots on your ceiling, even if it was just painted...check your attic, it is probably that mice had built a nest and their "leavings" will stain the sheetrock below. Cleaning the attic and removing the insulation solves the problem.

Excellent work, clear communication, professional all around. Ron had a helpful presentation on attic insulation and a thorough walkthrough of the process. Elvin and his team ran a tight ship; they arrived around 9 and were done by 3. They ran a vacuum tube through a window and cleaned up everything in the house--there are no signs they were even here. But the attic is dry and well-insulated and ventilated, and we're ready for winter. My one small bit of constructive criticism concerns their solicitation of reviews on Angie's List in exchange for further services. It's understandable to ask the customer to write a review if they were happy--and I'm glad to do so, given how well everything went--but the company explicitly offered to send me photos of my attic if I wrote this review. This gives me pause. I would understand offering the photos for an extra service charge, but I don't believe they should be contingent on a review. That is a small point, however. Overall the service was excellent and I heartily recommend Atticare to anyone looking to reinsulate and clean their attic.

We got the $49 coupon for attic/crawl space inspection. Since we bought the house last year I was not sure what were the issues upstairs. While I was expecting a complete description (including pictures) of what are possible issues, the technician was only focused on 2 things the company does : a) insulation and b) critter nuisance. Just there way to get more business if you can be scared easily.

This company was a disaster from the minute they showed up to service my home. They parked their truck on my driveway and punctured a hole thru the pavement. Then the vacuum they used emitted so much carbon monoxide in my home that the fire department had to come, evacuate us from the house (at 10pm!) and spend over 2 hours with fans to get it all out. In the basement, when they stapled the vapor barrier, they stapled thru our house alarm wires causing the entire alarm system to short out. Then, one of their guys bumped into our hot water tank and knocked a piece off, causing a leak that needed to be repaired. They did feel bad for all of the mishaps, and tried to make nice which is why I initially didn't write this review. But there was almost a fire in my kitchen just now. Thank G-D I was home. Seems that when they punctured one of the light canisters thru the ceiling when they were working in the attic, they attempted to fix it. It all looked fine and I was thankful they could repair it. But seems they had no idea what they were doing. I just pulled out the chunks of spray foam they used to fix it, and it has been burning all this time, and now almost started a fire. See the attached pic for proof. This was the last straw. I had to write a review. Maybe I was just the unlucky one, who had everything bad happen to them. But beware!

Atticare was prompt, responsive, professional, and (while not the least expensive of 4 quotes), gave a fair price. The owner explained what was needed to be done and why. The foreman of the job took photos of the work after it was completed, since some of it was in a difficult to see attic. We have not yet had our insulation inspection, but assuming that Atticare's part passes, I would absolutely use them again.

Victor and his crew came on time with an advance phone call just as planned. They laid plastic to protect our wood floors and wore the proper protective wear to protect themselves. They removed all the insulation, vacuumed very well, and after sanitizing the attic, invited us up for a look. They certainly had to work in a difficult situation to close the animal access points because the roof is the equivalent of 4 stories high. Concern #1: The box around the attic louvers ( where we needed batting insulation that can be removed to use the whole house fan in season) is taped poorly, the tape is already falling off. However we do appreciate having the box and batting! Concern #2: The clean up was lacking. They left cigarette butts, bottle caps and insulation fluff on the driveway and a screen out. So great job where it really counts, but for the price the clean up could be better! We are very happy that we had the work done. Victor and crew were kind and professional.

When the job was completed the, Victor the supervisor asked me to inspect the work before he sealed the area as agreed. All the agreed to work was completed in an efficient and professional manner. Ron the sales rep called as I finalized payment with Victor and asked to speak with me to insure I was satisfied with the work, which I was. Very robust review and analysis, and the technician explained the issues and my options very well. We did not end up using this provider, but would certainly look to them in the future.

Victor and his crew were very professional and finished the job in the time quoted. They also walked me through the process and showed the stages as they were completed. Excellent job. Would recommend Atticare to anyone.

The big deal stated that they will do a Ventilation Analysis. When they got here they told me that they don't do that.

Atticare sent over two different crews and finished the project within two days. Both crews were very clean and respectful, they worked very hard taking the garbage out and the crew that came the second day even cleaned my garage. When the job was done I was given time to inspect the results with the project manager and I even got a phone call from the general manager to hear about my overall experience. I will recommend Atticare to anyone with similar issues they did a great job.

The rep, Ron, did a thorough inspection and reported that the attic was clean and well-insulated. He found evidence of a bees' nest which he removed and sealed the opening. He recommended that I consider adding a radiant barrier to the exisiting insulation because it would reduce my AC's electrical consumption in the summer months and would save on the wear-and-tear of the central air system. I appreciated his clear explanation and promised I would consider this upgrade. I would hire this contractor again.
