came this morning to my office and saw a dead mouse in the middle of the room, once started to investigate I realize there is more of them. I think because of the cold weather they try to come in and manage to create whole to pass through. i called atticare because I know they can seal stuff in the best way, within 3 hours i had the crew find the whole fix and clean after them. i am an happy customer.

On the day of service Gil arranged for Victor and his crew to arrive at 8:00am and the entire team arrived on time and ready to work. The guys prepped my house then made a pathway up to the attic, inspected it, suited up and began to work. I was astounded at the amount of debris and junk that was removed from my attic. Over ten very large bags were filled. Victor and his crew worked without stopping and took great care to ensure everything was being done correctly. It was clear to me these guys took great pride in their work. They would check in with me to make sure I was happy with the progress and I was. After all cellulose, dirt and extra findings were removed they then disinfected my attic and I could smell the Clorox and the cleanliness. After that they put down the insulation. The final job was outstanding my attic looked absolutely fantastic. The following week I had a contractor come by to do some work and he had to go to the attic and he complimented my attic and took a few pictures. He said whomever did this work did a great job. I highly, highly recommend working with Gil and ensure you ask for Victor and his crew because these are one of the most honest and hardest working guys Ive seen and they do a great job. Weeks later no pest issue and no racoon issue and my attic looks great. In addition, Gil arranged to have all my air ducts replaced the final job was again outstanding. I had a few air vents that were not providing air to a few rooms and after the air ducts were replaced all my rooms were being heated properly. I had an amazing experience and highly recommend Gil and Victor for all future work.

They were okay. They came and laid some traps. I got the feeling that they were really after selling me $3000 worth of taking the attic apart and spraying it down with chlorine. It seemed like the introductory offer was simply just to get in for a sales pitch. It cost $100. But, I don't know if they got them all. They claimed that they trapped two of them and one got away. The rest was a sales pitch. After that, I set my own traps for the mice. I went out and bought $5 worth of stuff and set my own traps. I wasn't crazy and ecstatic about the service. It wasn't bad and it wasn't great. Mostly, I paid $100 to have somebody come in and give me a sales call.

Gil, an employee of AttiCare performed the initial inspection before the start of the job and carefully and professionally explained each step that would be performed. At the start of the actual removal process and to the finish there was a crew of four hard workers headed by Chris (one of the workers). Huge bag fulls of blown cellulose and other "garbage" were removed by the employees. There were a few hidden surprises during the insulation removal process that required an extra day of work on their part that they did not charge extra for. They carefully protected the furniture and floor with plastic. They brought down a load of stuff that was already stored in the attic and carefully placed it in an adjacent storage room - also covering it with plastic protection. They cleaned up any dust on the first floor that may have come down from the attic while working after the job was finished.

It was pretty useless. It was just a way to come into the house and try to get more work. You have to pay money for that too. They were quick. They shouldn't have charged me for $49. The inspection should have been complimentary and then, I could have decided whether or not I wanted to use their services.

It didn't go, no contact from the company. This is the third time I called someone on Angies List and they did not respond, or came, and never called back. To pay for this service, and then have to contact people on my own, questions your ability, Angie's List to do the right thing for the consumer.

They did a great job. They spent a decent amount of time walking around the house. They were very thorough, checking from the basement to the attic. They had a lot of good communication and suggestions. It was a very good experiecne.

Confirmed what I thought, added some extra comments I was unaware of. Gave me estimate for work needed.

Atticare just cleaned my attic and installed new insulation. They were working very hard and I was thinking to myself ?Thank god i?m not the one up there? After about 6 hours the service team completed the vacuuming, they than sanitize and blow new insulation as agreed. The few places I called to insulate the attic before reaching out to Atticare would not do the clean up. They insist to place new insulation on top of the old one and thats just doesn?t make sense! Great company, highly recommended

the technician was very prompt and well prepared. He asked me about my concerns and asked questions. When he inspected the area that concerned me, he took video with his iPad to show me what he'd seen (wow!). With that I had a complete understanding of what needed to be done and how to proceed. I was very please with Atticare.

Did not use xervice and maybe havea refund. Company Does not service new york.

He showed up on time and took his time inspecting the area, and then came up with his suggestion to solve the problem.

They did the work. They were exorbitant.

It wasn't quite what I expected. They basically came in, looked in the attic, and were trying to sell us an attic clean out. There was some kind of rodents that must have been up there because he could see little rodent droppings. We thought it was an energy audit. I was specifically looking for an energy audit. They have actually worded in the ad that they are going to do an energy audit. It was really more that they want to clean out the attic. He was looking to sell us a package that was like $4,000 or $5,000. Our main purpose is the fact that our electric bill is through the roof and we can't figure out why so we wanted an energy audit. That really wasn't what we got. He did give us a little bit of good information regarding what was going on in the attic. Anything that he gave us was basic, anybody and their brother could have done. He said we should probably change the windows because they are old. We actually already contracted to do that because we figured that part out ourselves. I thought that their price was high. I haven't priced it out too much so I don't know what other companies are getting for the same type of work. They got back to me right away. If I ever have a need for my attic to get cleaned out, I might consider them. It didn't end up being what we thought it was going to be so that was the main problem.

It went okay but it wasn't exactly what I was picturing was going to happen. That service was more geared towards them insulating my attic and not really providing me with the service that I thought was advertised on Angie's List. I pictured it being like a comprehensive survey of my entire house, maybe I read the deal incorrectly. They went into the basement an checked some of the windows not all of them. I just thought it was more they, what can I do to save energy in my entire residence. It was more along the lines of, we'll do this and it will cost this. It was just like an introduction to get into the house and to give me an estimate on what they thought they should do. The guy who actually came here was knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. I really didn't get anything from the service.

We realized we had an issue when we were moving items out of our attic. The insulation was pulled down in spots, we saw droppings, and we realized we had a problem! I immediately pulled up Angie's List to find providers to help us clean up the mess and install new insulation. Atticare was super responsive and called me right back. Gil, a tech from the company came on time, inspected, took pictures and discussed options. We were freaking out and concerned at the damage. Gil talked us off the ledge and explained what we could expect, what was entailed in the cleanup and after the work was completed. On the day of our appointment, Alvin, the project manager, Eddie and the rest of the team showed up on time and ready to get started. Although the company would have moved our possessions out of the attic as part of the process, we ordered a dumpster ahead of time and pulled everything out of the attic before the team arrived. We used this time as an opportunity to clean out our clutter and repackage items we were moving back to the attic after the cleanup. We wanted to ensure everything was vermin free and that items were moved to clean/new plastic storage containers. The team was extremely friendly, efficient and professional. The process was completed around 1PM. Alvin walked me through the work and demonstrated areas where they needed to "rodent proof" with steel mesh." The attic smelled of the solution that they sprayed and new insulation, but no smell of animal droppings or urine. The team then moved most of the items we had repackaged back to the attic. We deferred moving some of the items as there were some spots still wet from the solution that they sprayed to disinfect and we wanted to allow some time to dry. The team exceeded my expectations. They were easy to work with, followed up several times and answered all of my issues and concerns. They also provided my insurance company with pictures and information as requested. We called several other companies and although ATTICARE was not the lowest estimate, they were the most comprehensive, and are run by a family. The employees who came to my home were very professional and understood our concerns and worked to help us resolve a very ugly situation. I highly recommend this company!

We are conflicted about how to review Atticare. On the one hand, the work was well done, but on the other hand there were serious issues with project management that made this experience a lot more stressful than promised! We were able to schedule the attic cleanup within a week of obtaining our second estimate (an increase of 1000 over the estimate we received during the winter, as a sort of summer fee and price raise, according to our technician). Our technician seemed knowledgeable, but there were some issues with how the actual cleanup was handled. The day of the cleanup the crew arrived promptly, and our technician walked the project manager through what we needed to have done--the main attic, the other part of the attic separated by a hallway, and the attic areas around the finished main room. We had sorted through the items in the attic to streamline the cleaning process, and left the debris in the main attic room. Within the first 2 hours, the project manager became ill. Only after this did the workers put on protective gear. Because the project manager was no longer working, a member of the team stepped up to take his place. Unfortunately, our technician seems to have not clearly explained what areas of the attic were included in the estimate, because at the end of the day, when the de facto project manager walked us through, we realized that the smaller attic spaces had not been cleaned. They were great about rescheduling to finish the work within a few days, and returned to finish the job. We were really happy with the cleanup, the workers did a good job and finished promptly. There were two main issues we had with this job. First, our technician tried to ask us to pay more for the unfinished job telling us that he would have trouble paying for the equipment and labor that another day on the job would cost. He worked out the issue with his office, but this was a stressful interlude, while we waited to see if they would finish the work for the original estimate. Secondly, several days after the work was completed, we realized that they had mistaken a gutter hole for an entrance and pumped it full of insulation foam. It was a bit of a hassle to pick out enough foam to let the water drain. Minor issues included the stripping of varnish from a door when the carpet was removed, and a chip in the wooden paneling of the finished attic room during the vacuuming process. We would definitely consider going to Atticare again if we had attic issues, we would just make sure to check in a lot more on what was being done, and that everyone was on the same page.

Gil came to our house and took his time inspecting the area in question so as to come up with the best course of action to solve our problem. Although we originally thought spray foam was the way to go, Gil explained that this costly method wouldn't be the best solution in this case. He explained why, it made perfect sense and he then outlined his plan. He worked within my budget and gave us everything he said would be needed for optimal results. His team came out the following week and did a great job. I was at work so they sent me pics of the job to make sure I was satisfied before leaving. I would totally recommend them and use them again in the future

Hope they can truly list the areas they serve

I knew the work was going to be expensive based on other posts but the prior owner had a mouse problem and I wanted to remove the mess that was left in the attic. The gentleman who inspected the area was professional and showed me pictures of what he found. A discount was available if we were flexible on the dates. We opted to have the work done the next day. I agreed only if it would be performed first thing in the morning so that my husband could go to the office after. We agreed that they would arrive between 7-7:30. They didn't show up until 9am. The crew told me that it would have been impossible to have arrived any earlier (for a list of reasons) and it shouldn't have been promised to me. They did bring an extra body so it only went an hour over schedule. Positives: The work was good. We felt that attic was cleaned well. They protected the areas that they were working in. Negatives: The insulation that I was told was more efficient is in pieces and not sheets. I asked if it would be messier and I was told no. After they left I noticed that every time we closed the bathroom door it looked like it was snowing in my bathroom. The insulation was coming down from the light fixtures. It has also come down from other fixtures in my home. I wish they would have installed sheets in those areas. The access to both of my attics is through closets. There was attic debris left in both of those closets that I had to clean up.

They were very professional. Arrived on time, covered their trails with blankets and cleaned up everything before leaving. They also fixed the air duct of the bathroom fan in the attic for me. There used to be some rodent traces in the attic. Hopefully we won't see them this winter. No complaint so far.

I hired atticare to clean my attic and I must say Im impressed with this company. This guys were doing unbelievably hard work. I was watching them going in and out my hot attic for about 7 hours thinking to myself there is no way I could do it. When the technician Ronnie came to my house the first time and show me the pictures of my nasty insulation I was skeptical and got 2 more quotes, however I was more impressed with the plan Ronnie presented to me so I booked the job with them. When the crew came in the morning they were laying plastic on the floor to protect it and then vacuumed my entire attic with a vacuum machine. All the debris went through a very big hose through my attic window. The guys also cover some holes where rodents got in and then install new insulation. Im pleased with the service and happy because my attic is clean and smells good
