The crew was very prompt and responsive to do the job. Overall they were very clean. Probably the biggest issue I had was that when they blew in the new insulation they did so without regard to the AC unit that was up in the attic. At the time there was a little bit of water in the condensation pan of the AC - a lot of the insulation ended up in the pan with the water which I had to remove myself. Also too expensive for the work they actually did.

When the inspector came, his inspection made it clear that we needed a major job, not just a clean-up. The inspector spent several hours examining our attic , the roof, the garage, the basement. His proposal was major, and the cost was high, but we felt that we really needed it to be done to get rid of the rodents. The project team was very professional, friendly, punctual and cleaned up well. They cared a lot about doing everything they could to satisfy us. Overall, we felt they did a great job. Recently, however, just a few weeks later, we started hearing animals again. Naturally, we were upset. So I called Atticare, and they were very responsive. The inspector returned and examined the attic, saying that there was no sign of rodent infestation, and commenting on what a good job his team had done. We went up to the attic ourselves this morning, and can confirm that the attic is nice and clean. Somewhere in the roof, though, there must be a crawl space to which the creatures have access. The Atticare inspector made various suggestions as to how to solve the problem. We are having a roofer come by to advise us whether we can get access through the roof to where the creatures are. So, our problem continues, but Atticare is still involved and concerned.

Everyone on the crew was extremely nice and they all knew what jobs they had to complete. They worked as a team and did quality work. The attic was very hot without insulation and they worked hard up there. I am pleased with the job they did and believe they are very honest people. The only minor issue I had was during the initial estimate. There were some inconsistencies that came up with what I knew to be necessary components of the job, but these were all cleared up when I spoke to the manager, Shawn. Shawn did a great job explaining every step of the process and what I was paying for, he assured me of the quality of the workmanship, and made sure I was pleased throughout the process. The entrance to my crawlspace is a bit tricky and there was a minor accident to a water pipe and Shawn and his team came right over to diagnose the problem, they gave me really good plumbing advice and found a solution to the issue. They are really honest people and want to make sure their customers are pleased with their work. I would not hesitate to refer them, they are fast and efficient and care about their customers. I cannot say enough about how Shawn manages his team, he is very pleasant.

After getting numerous quotes from companies that either did insulation or ones that did environmental cleanup, I was unable to find one that did both until Google led me to Atticare. At first I as hesitant to go with them, as they were a new company to NJ, not in Angies list yet, no online references that I could find, etc., but after arranging for an estimate and talking to Sean a few times, he earned my confidence. The job was to remove and replace old insulation, and do an environmental cleanup of both my crawlspace and attic. Couple of things really made the difference for me with Atticare; First was the attention to detail during the assessment of the project, and what struck me as a very sincere commitment that I would not be disappointed. I found Sean to be a very high integrity professional, committed to doing the job right. More than once he assured me they would not leave until I was 100% happy with every detail, something he followed through on, even after full payment as I had minor questions and follow-ups. Another thing that stood out was the effort they made to be clean. My wife and I are a bit compulsive about cleanliness in our home, and I envisioned the potential mess involved in removing dusty 1984 insulation from both crawlspace and attic, both accessed though the home by a team of four or five guys. To our delight, they left the house extremely clean, so much so I'd say I was shocked. The only mishap I can mention is one of the guys accidentally put his foot through the ceiling sheetrock, which has taken a few visits to resolve due to the spackle drying, etc.. This is another thing thing that stands out to me. With most of the contractors or companies I've worked with, follow-ups require me chasing them down, which I find very frustrating. With Sean, he's calling on me to get the repair done, very proactive about it, and very flexible with my schedule. Overall, very pleasant company to work with, they do what they say they will, when they say they'll do it, etc.. I wouldn't hesitate working with them again.

The crew of three, Ever, Adam and team leader Joe, arrived early, set up their van and attached mini dumpster and swiftly cleared my attic using protective clothing and breathing gear for stage one of the project. They then set up a powerful vacuum to thoroughly clean the exposed drywall and studs. They then inspected and sealed all the openings including the very obvious one where it seems that birds had entered through the soffit and droppings indicated that they had been hanging out at some point in time without paying rent. They consulted me every step of the way to ensure that I was satisfied with the work as it was being done. Although they have a guarantee to return if critters come in, I wanted every measure taken to avoid that and they plugged up everywhere I asked them to. I spent the winter tolerating some kind of field mouse or maybe even a bird making the most irritating scratching sounds right over my head. I live in a condo complex with adjacent attics and I now definitely feel an increased measure of confidence that my attic is secure even if my neighbors' aren't. The crew were very diligent, efficient and respectful -- job done same day and they cleaned up perfectly and left everything spotless both inside and outdoors. Wish I had known about them when I moved in a year ago and before I wasted hundreds on storage space rental. I now have a spiffy attic for storage. The sales rep (in my case Ronnie) will also enlighten you about the importance of proper attic ventilation, maintenance and rodent behavior -- very important knowledge for home owners. The inspector I hired before I purchased the property obviously knew diddley squat about attics and insulation because he didn't even raise an eyebrow at the mess in mine and the obviously blackened insulation. I thought it was scorched by some kind of low level fire event. It didn't occur to me that it was mold from a poorly ventilated attic. I learned the company has set up shop in Jersey, expanding from an established California base. I believe that they are providing a unique service which I haven't seen advertised in Central Jersey which indeed has attics galore. I wish them luck and highly recommend them.

We just had Atticare clean out and reinsulate our attic and crawl space. We had a terrible raccoon problem, and we couldn't be happier with the services provided by Ronnie and his team. Ronnie showed up on time, and after inspecting both the attic and crawl space, he explained to us the condition of the insulation (which was heavily contaminated). He then recommended a detailed plan of how to remove the insulation and rodent feces, clean everything, and seal up all entry points to put an end to this problem. After getting one more quote from a different company we decided to go ahead and schedule the job with Atticare, especially since the other company didn't want to remove the old insulation, which is a ridiculous approach. Anyway, these guys are worth every penny they worked really hard until almost 8pm. It's been 2 weeks and we haven't heard the rodents since! We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

The technicians came and informed us that we had bad infestations in our attic. They came two days later and brought a special vacuum and vacuumed everything for about 6 hours. They took some pictures and showed us the damages and sealed the holes. They sanitized and bleach the entire area. New insulation was also installed. They were professional and came on time and I would recommend them to anyone.

winter suck...and the worst thing is the feeling of the cold coming in your home from unknown places! this was the problem in my mom house out in NJ. we were gonna seal our attic ourself till we found out some unwelcoming guests...we had to call the pros;i had the attic clean sanitized and sealed to prevent cold and any rodents from coming in. the technician came on time gave me an estimate, we agreed on a price and they finished it the same day like promised. so far it has been over 3 weeks and no issues no squirrels or any problem, and my mom is happy! what can be better then that....great company, great job done! professional and respectful!
