Our experience with Pool Boss has been exceptional from our initial meeting with Chris the owner (not a sales person) through design, and execution. He was able to understand what we wanted and make proper recommendations without being pushy on unnecessary options like others pool builders we spoke to. His team was always available to help through each phase and they were attentive to any issues that arose during the build. We couldn’t be happier on how everything turned out and referred PB to our neighbors and friends, who all had the same experience. (We wouldn’t of done this if we weren’t happy with them). The pictures speak for themselves Lastly, their pool service team is just as outstanding; we use them for closings, openings, and anything in between.

We had a great experience with Chris, Terry and the entire Pool Boss team. We were scheduled to dig in February of 2020 and then Covid hit. They were amazing and were able to continue their work with the current covid restrictions in place. Just like with any project there were some obstacles but they were very quick to respond and resolve problems. I already had a vision in place of what we wanted the pool and backyard to look like and they made it happen. We did install an automatic pool cover which is great in theory but I wished I had done some more research. Knowing what I know now I probably would not have installed it and saved $$$$. Overall it was great experience and we a very happy with the results.

Installing an in-ground pool can be an extremely overwhelming experience and to be honest, when we began this process, we didn't even know the difference between gunite, fiberglass and vinyl pools. We spoke with so many vendors, some of whom wouldn't even meet with us (unless we submitted a deposit and committed to working with them). It wasn't until we spoke with Terry + Chris that we began to understand what would be the best type of pool for our family. Terry was so incredibly helpful and patient with us, really taking the time to make sure we understood the nuances of the different pool types and what the process would entail. Chris went out of his way to make a site visit to ensure our vision was indeed possible -- and this was BEFORE we decided to work with them! The experience once we signed with The Pool Boss was FANTASTIC! From the design process with Terry + Michael, to the construction process with Deanna, Matt and their amazing team, to the hardscaping, electrical and fencing contractors that were brought in and to the Pool Boss service department once the pool was completed, every step of the way has been superb. Even when the weather or the township would throw us a curveball, the Pool Boss team was on it, finding a solution to keep the project on task. We are BEYOND ecstatic with our pool and cannot recommend The Pool Boss highly enough! They truly know what they are doing and are excellent with communicating with their clients every step of the way. THANK YOU Pool Boss, we are fans for life!

The Pool Boss takes the stress out of what can be a very stressful pool building process. After reading all the horror stories online of some pool building experiences, my wife and I were extremely nervous to take the plunge into building our own backyard oasis. From the first time we met Chris, we knew he was the one we wanted to build our pool for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a game plan of what we should do, and of course what our town would allow us to do in our backyard. His suggestions and ideas started to put us at ease right away. Our project definitely was not a cookie cutter pool that he was going to be building. When he first walked into our backyard all he saw was the tree filled sloped rear part of our yard right behind a retaining wall, that lead up to a town house community that resides just past our property line. He originally assumed we were putting the pool into the nice flat grassed portion of our yard, but that was not the vision that we had. Once we explained it to him, he was able to start seeing it too and within minutes the plan started coming together. The Pool Boss’s top notch design team was able to map out the design for us and we were on our way! The design team was extremely hard working and very flexible with us when it came to our design. Once the design was completed, the process was seamless all the way through the build stage. When working with The Pool Boss, you have an on-site and also an off-site project manager that you are communicating with constantly. They work together to always keep you informed of what the next steps are, who is going to be on your property, and what days/times they will be there. This takes a lot of the unknowns out of the project that we have read about online with other pool builders. We never had to worry if or when someone was coming to work on the project each day. We also had a good idea of when the project would be completed as soon as they showed up for our dig day. Once our pool was completed, we received a very informative tutorial of everything that we needed to know in order to properly care for our pool. This was extremely helpful as first time pool owners. At this tutorial, the valet service was mentioned to us. This is a service that The Pool Boss provides so they can assist with the caring for your pool through-out the summer. We quickly saw this to be a great benefit and we signed up for it right away. From the initial meeting with Chris to the end of project recap meeting with him, we really felt like we made a great choice by selecting The Pool Boss. We have already recommended them to friends, and we will continue to do so. We look forward to creating fun memories this summer and for many years to come, not only with our children, but with our extended family and friends, and we have The Pool Boss to thank for that!

The Pool Boss was great at every step of our pool project. The design team listened to our ideas and worked with us to create exactly what we envisioned. The office staff and construction teams are top notch, extremely professional and knowledgeable. The owners, Terry and Chris are very accessible and on top of the project at all times. The best decision we have ever made was installing an in-ground pool this summer. The better decision was using The Pool Boss for the project. From our initial meetings with Chris and Terry, we were confident that the process would be handled with minimal stress, even during a pandemic. We were right! They coordinated every step of the process for us – surveys, permits, electrical, hardscaping. And where we could have found our own subcontractors, we are glad we didn’t even try. Every resource they sent to us was as professional and efficient as they are – Brian Benemerito the electrician and Danny Lopes from Lopes and Sons Hardscaping were great to work with. Everyone patiently answered our questions and made sure we would be responsible, knowledgeable pool owners. Our project manager, Joanna, was on top of every step of the installation. We never had a question about what the next step would be, as Joanna communicated constantly before and during each step. And when Hurricane Ida trashed our brand, new pool, Mitch and Dan from the Service Team had us back up and running within 3 days. We cannot wait to open the pool and enjoy the beautiful oasis that The Pool Boss created for us. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to install a pool and highly recommend The Pool Boss if you are considering a backyard transformation!

When we experienced some challenges with the hardscaping portion of our project, both Michael and Joanna quickly stepped in to mitigate the issues and ensure everything moved forward as we had contracted to do so. Our backyard came out gorgeous and has become our own private resort. So much so that each time someone comes over; family, friends, neighbors and even other vendors…they all ask us who did our pool and ask for your contact information! We are happy to refer you to anyone who asks and always share that once they make that initial phone call to you, they’ll too know they made the right choice.

I consider it a privilege to have worked with the Team of Designers and Contractors at “The Pool Boss.” With 20 years of experience in the Northern New Jersey custom luxury market as the founder of Plan Architecture, I’ve worked with several teams over the years and I had made a very early decision to work with The Pool Boss – essentially prior to even having the property to do so! Our project started as an interview with Chris Argenziano to discuss the design and layout of our pool. We reviewed the location of the pool along with its orientation. Our design considered the sun, an area for lounging in and outside of the pool, benches, fountains, lighting and a pool cover. Chris patiently reviewed the process with us describing each step of the way. He was excellent at setting expectations at the onset of our work. We broke ground in late February of 2020 with our landscape contractors and then COVID hit. The construction industry, as with many other industries, was affected by delays, shortages and material increases. Each step of the way we all felt like challenges were being hurled at us, all the while Chris and Joanna did an incredible job of pre-ordering materials, getting ahead of the curve and helping us consider alternatives. We just completed our photoshoot with Chris and his team, the exclamation point on this incredibly refined process. As a professional, I typically get wary of companies when I see such a strong social media and advertising presence, but with The Pool Boss, their marketing is an expression for the pride they have for the work they’ve completed. They couldn’t wait to photograph their work and share it with their friends. Our relationship with The Pool Boss continues as they offer competitive service contracts and pool maintenance programs which we have found to supplement Chris’s ethos perfectly. One team member is better than the next. We could not say more great things about our experience and strongly encourage you to not only consider, but proceed with the Pool Boss.

I had an excellent experience using the Pool Boss. The whole process from design to installation was fantastic. Chris and his team were there every step of the way to make sure the process was easy and fast. Everything came out perfect. Chris's vision of what kind of design would work for us was 100 percent correct. He made suggestions that I would have never thought of, from the depth of the pool to the shape. Every detail from the color changing lighting coming from every angle in the pool to the color of the liner and the seat in the deep end. We couldn't be happier with the pool we got from the Pool Boss. We also signed up for the Valet Service which is fantastic. We haven't had to worry about doing anything. They come every week and take care of all the chemicals and clean the pool. They even make sure the filtered water is flowing in the best way possible. So the only thing you have to do is enjoy the Pool with your family and friends.

Chris, Terry and the rest of the staff at The Pool Boss were absolutely incredible. The level of professionalism from start to finish was exceptional. A major investment such as building a pool comes with a specific type of expectation and The Pool Boss not only met but certainly exceeded all our expectations. The process from planning to permitting to digging and building was seamless and worry free. You can’t put a price on peace of mind. We can’t thank Chris ,Terry and the staff enough for their attention to detail, their professionalism and for always making themselves available to answer any and all questions we had. We just completed installing our pool with Pool Boss. We researched companies and pools before we started and couldn’t believe the outstanding reviews Pool Boss received. We knew they would be great...and with this being said we are still blown away by how great. We have always dreamed of having the perfect backyard that would become an extension of our living space. When we met with Chris from the Pool Boss he helped us make our dreams become a reality. They have the best customer service out of any company I have ever worked with. Doing any type of home reno during a pandemic is never easy but Chris and his team were always transparent and from start to finish they were always attentive and helpful and helped make this process seamless. We love how our pool and yard came out and are looking forward to spending countless amount of hours out there.

Like many people, the pandemic caused us to rethink our priorities and reflect on how we wanted to spend time as a family. Working with Pool Boss to construct our pool was the best decision. Chris was patient and answered all of our questions about the construction process, permits, design, etc. Our project manager, Joanna, was very responsive and handled all the twists and turns of scheduling the various steps of the build. The plumbers, electricians, designers, and masons were kind and professional. Building a pool is a big investment and a major construction project. If you decide to embark on the pool building journey, I'd trust no other company than Pool Boss with the work. We are excited to make some memories in our new backyard oasis!

I don't normally post reviews. However, my experience with the Pool Boss has been so amazing that I felt compelled to share my thoughts. Let me start by saying that we have a very small yard and adding a pool was no small challenge. I was aware that we were over our township defined lot coverage allowance and I thought that the only way to add a pool was to get a variance. Not only would a variance take a long time to get, but approval is not guaranteed and would have added an additional expense on top of this project. I met with two other pool contractors before contacting the Pool Boss. Both of these contractors said that we would need a variance or elect to have a smaller pool than we wanted. Then cam the Pool Boss and their amazing team. From the first contact with Terry, she made me feel at ease and I knew right away that I contacted the right people. Terry did not push us one bit and suggested we speak with one of their contacts that would figure out whether we needed a variance or not. Long story short, the Pool Boss was able to figure out how to build us a pool with a size we were comfortable with and all without needing a variance. I felt relieved to say the least. Next, I met at the property with Chris. Chris is amazing and gave me some helpful advice on the pool configuration. Not once did he try to up-sell me on anything and in fact, I believe that our original configuration may have cost us a bit more. Chris knows his craft and it was refreshing to meet with a contractor that cares more about the actual product than his own bottom line. From that point, we signed a contract and the Pool Boss took over. They dealt with the town in getting the permit and our town is not exactly the easiest to get permits from. The level of communication we received was nothing short of amazing. They answered every single email I sent them and most, usually, within a very short time. They would email and text us regarding appointments always letting us know who was coming to our house, when, and for what specific purpose. All of their technicians treated our home with respect. Their shining star is their offsite project manager Joanna. Joanna is attentive, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and responsive. She can teach a course in customer service for sure. I am someone that asks a lot of questions and never once did I feel that my questions were unwanted. I have enjoyed dealing with Joanna so much that I will miss her now that our project is starting to wrap up. In sum, there really isn't a better pool contractor out there than the Pool Boss. I have heard nightmare stories from other people telling me their project was put on hold for months after the initial excavation took place. The Pool Boss gave us a timeline of what to expect and how long it would take. Although they will tell you that they will do their best to meet the deadlines, they hit our expected timeframe on the nose. If you are in the market for an in-ground pool, do yourself a favor and look no further than the Pool Boss. You will not be disappointed.
