I had a great experience with Nick. He gave me an appointment to come and give me a quote the very next day. He was there in the morning and as promised I received a quote the next day afternoon. While his price wasn't the lowest of the quotes I had received, I still found him professional to talk to and someone who knew what he was doing. So I decided to go with him. He was able to finish the job in 3 days.

Nick was incredibly responsive and professional. He was upfront about costs and potential challenges so that we had no surprises on the day of the Job. He arrived early and worked quickly. The job was complicated with old infrastructure/construction but he was able to troubleshoot each barrier and find work arounds. Excellent quality and service!

I met with eh vendor today. In order for him to do the deal I would have to put in another $700 in order to fix the damage he would do. Nothing against him, it’s just more money than we were prepared to spend at this time.

I am very pleased with the work done by Luminous Electric. In fact, this was the second time I hired this contractor through a deal offered by Angie's List. They installed six recessed lights in a dark part of the master bedroom. The work is a welcome improvement.

Nick was punctual and very sincere from the start- returning calls to showing up as promised for estimate and actual work.After an assessment of the needs, he quickly provided an estimate on the spot , explaining in detail - number, spacing and his rationale for each recessed light fixture and switch locations. Also he explained the cable pull,his responsibilities and potential issues in the wood paneled family room, running cables. On the day of the work, Nick briefly walked me through the process and when I told him, I needed 3 separate zone controls for the lights, he accepted the change and provided the cost differential immediately (not much) for my benefit. He finished the work as committed and he and his co-worker cleaned up the work area thoroughly. Overall, it was a seamless and comfortable experience. We are very satisfied with the results. I recommend Nick for his professionalism, knowledge and providing objective advice. We plan to use Luminous Electric services in future for our needs.

WELL. HE HAS TO RETURN FOR INSPECTION ON 12/31

At 11:00pm, the electricity in half of my house went off. I called the local electric utility company, who came and found that one of the two connections to the main electric meter box melted/corroded and did not connect. Thus only half the house having electricity, and the other half not having any. I called Nick the following morning, he came over, confirmed the problem, and replaced the box - all in the same day. This was an emergency job, and Nick was very prompt, responsive, and professional throughout. I would not hesitate to call him for future electrical work on the house.

The job went very well. Nick surveyed the bathroom and the attic area above it. He had to rip up a very small section of the wooden flooring in the attic to access the bathroom ceiling. Fortunately, it was in a storage area and wouldn't be seen. He couldn't run the ductwork to the eaves of the house were nailed tight. He identified a solution by running the duct to the nearby dormer, cutting a hole in the wall to the outside and installed vent. He had to climb out the dormer window to a small roof ledge and rotary cut a hole through the siding to install and the vent. He then caulked the opening and climbed back in. Considering the wind chill factor made it seem like 12 degrees outside and he had to balance himself while working, I think he made an extraordinary effort to finish the job. He was going to replace the flooring, but stopped him, since I plan to add additional insulation, before sealing it up. They did a general cleanup of the bathroom and removed the debris. Nick and his helper, Andre, completed the job in about an hour.

Was very professional. I hired him to fix the electrical problems and additionally asked him to install a bathroom exhaust fan. Nick came up with a smart solution for the exhaust venting.

The new box will not fit in the same location as the old box. The costs to relocate were more than budgeted.

They came as promised. They are very professional. Very knowledgeable of what they were doing and explained it in great detail. They cleaned up well and left area in neat condition. I will use them for future projects.

Nick was exactly on time at 10am, and he said any time from 10 - noon. He was kind, responsive, and very professional. He had to go up into my attic to fix my kitchen light fixture, but he did it, and fixed the light AND cleaned up! all in 40 minutes. I loved him so much I gave him a $20 tip.

Nick and Andre did a fantastic job. They upgraded our 90 year old historical home from tube and knob wiring from 60 amp to 100 amp, replaced and upgraded our entire circuit box, every switch/outlet throughout, attic fan, electrify the garage and hook up security light, electrify outside for pool hookup. All was done in timely manner and to our absolute satisfaction. We will surely use them again for any additional work we might need.

Gentlemen were very nice, polite, professional and they cleaned up after themselves.

Nick and Andre replaced an old electrical panel with a new 200 amp panel. They also replaced all my old outlets and light switches. I also added additional outlets to the 2nd floor. Nick also ran new lines to the first floor kitchen and bath area to evenly distribute the existing electric. Added several new GFCI outlets and one outside. Also had Nick install all new light fixtures in every room. He also found several issues that were potential fire hazards. They were quickly taken care of. Nick is punctual and will respond to every text message immediately. I am happy with his work so far. I have a final inspection and afterwards I plan on using Nick again in the future.

They answered my call right away to let me know they don’t service my area. They were very responsive. We received a refund due to them not servicing my area.

He was amazing. I can't rave more about this person. I have been renovating this brownstone forever. And I have gone through tons of trial and error when comes to hiring workers. Trust me, I have seen it all. I really can't tell you how easy nick was. He did what he said and he charged what I still think was not enough. He was a god send. I really thought I was in for yet another nightmare, estimates and the inevitable scammers, time wasted and just the hassle that comes with any type of repair in jersey city. But Nick with luminous electric made my life easy. he was fair honest and sound. He did the job with a smile and didn't mind me hanging around and asking questions. english is second language, but he spoke really well and understood even my quick humor and stupid questions. I am really happy i stumbled onto him. I feel like I found the diamond in the rough of electricians. You will not be sorry you hired him. Trust me. Sandra

Luminous Electric was very good! They were at my house in time and they were very nice and professional. They worked quickly and were neat. This is the first time I used Angie's list and was very pleased with the whole experience! I would definitely call Luminous for work in the future!

They were great. They were punctual. They did the work within the prescribed agreement. They were good in and out. I think they were fine. They were clean. They came when we set up the time. I think there was nothing negative about the deal.

Arrived on time, very professional, checked lout all the electrical circuits, made some suggestions, and repaired the most serious.

It went well. The people who came listened to my concerns and repeatedly checked the outlets for voltage levels. They spent quite a bit of time at the house. Work was done at the price quoted, house was left clean. The guys who came were pleasant and professional. It was a good experience and I would recommend them in the future

I reviewed several electrical contractors on Angies' List and decided to contact Luminous and spoke with Nick. I explained the two jobs I wanted done( see above), he gave me an estimate but explained that t'shooting was a time charge. We set up an appointment and he arrived punctually. Together we walked out the new work and the troubled circuit. He and his helper completed running the new outlet and began working on the tripped breaker. It was complicated because I did not have a schematic or even know all the outlets on the circuit. The problem was traced to an automatic light timer which was replaced, job completed & cleaned up and I paid the bill. That evening the same circuit again tripped, and the following morning I called Luminous again. Nick said he would get here as soon as he had an opening in his schedule or at the end of the day. True to his word he was here by 10 am. He got right to work and found an intermittent fault buried in a conduit. The wires and pipe were replaced and the circuit reset. I offered to pay for his additional time but Nick refused. Nick is a knowledgeable, hard working young man and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work large or small done.

The company did an excellent job. They were very thorough and asked us questions about how we wanted the lights to work instead of assuming. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They are coming back to do other jobs.
