Was all done in one day. He had a second person to help and they were very clean and explained everything. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family.

It turned out good. It took them a little over an hour to do the job.

The service was excellent. Nick responded immediately after I placed the $99 special deal offered. He was very flexible with scheduling. After we spoke on the phone, he emailed me a confirmation. Nick showed up on time (even a few mins early-which i really liked). He listened carefully to the list of items I wanted to get done and provided some costing and timeline for other items that I wanted to get done in the future. Nick completed all items within the time given and for the cost (not including parts which he was clear about on the phone). He troubleshot items that I thought were broken, which weren't. He showed me what was wrong and clearly explained why things weren't working correctly. For example, the recessed lighting in the kitchen was flickering and would go out. My wife and I just stopped using the lights thinking it could be hazardous. Nick showed me that we were using the wrong light bulbs and they were overheating the fixture causing the light safety mechanism to kick in and shut off. These lights were in the house when we purchased it so we didn't know this could be the problem. Keep in mind - some unscrupulous electricians would have replaced both fixtures which wasn't needed. Nick's honesty, work ethic, and quality impressed me for which I booked another job, which I'll post separately. I am very happy to find an electrician that provides good quality, gets the work done, and is respectful of my time. Overall -these guys know what they're doing! They come in, do the job, and go - no BS. I HIGHLY recommend.

This is the second time using Luminous Electric and we are just as pleased as the first. This time three guys came to install an outlet outside of the house. This required running a line from the electrical box in the basement to the outside. This isn't an easy task since we have an older house and have a completely finished basement with a wood panel ceiling that can't be removed. We wanted to get this project done for years, but couldn't find someone good and reliable – now we do. Overall, the team arrived on time, came with the correct required parts, completed within the time given to us, and the price matched the proposal. They were knowledgeable, professional, and provided good quality work. We plan to use them in the future to complete some other projects. I highly recommend them.

Nick rushed to get here before the forecasted snow storm. He gets an A+++ just for that alone. He came with 2 helpers and they (all 3) worked tirelessly in very cold weather to get the system working before the first snowflake was to fall. They had to chop remnants of roof ice to get to their work areas. Not an easy task. The work was performed quickly, efficiently and exacting and I am fussy. They cleaned up behind themselves as though they were never here. Nick is a great guy to work with. He explains what he is doing, and how it works in an easy to understand way. However, he is a workaholic so don't get into long conversations. Just let him do his job. He knows better than you what needs to be done once the job is explained to him and it's all quality work. Hint: If you're planning to do this type of work, do not use temperature sensors unless you're rich and energy wasteful. Use manual on and off switches with indicator lights. Sensors turn the system on when the temperature goes below 32 degrees whether or not there is snow on your roof. Each system uses 1200 watts (think big hair dryer). That's a lot to have on 24/7 for a good portion of the winter. Thanks Nick!

The work did not past inspection the first time. I was OK with this. It was his attitude that I had a problem with. Also, his crew left my washing machine unhooked and a whole in the foundation wall of my house. I had to make them fix both. He also agreed to change out some outlets while waiting for the inspector to come. He did not do the work and told me it was because if the inspector saw him doing this, the inspector would ask for a permit. However, when the inspector was here and did not pass the work, Nick tried to push the inspector to pass it anyway by telling him that he had to come back next week to change a light fixture and would fix the problem with the electric panel at that time. How come he did not need a permit for this but needed one to changed outlets? I found to many contradictions with what Nick would say. This is only one of many examples. Also, when he came back for the second inspection, which did pass, he tried to add more money to the bill by telling me there was a permit cost. I had a written estimate in front of me at the time and all the cost were included on this estimate. I told him I had already wrote out the check.... I will not be using him again.

Everything was handled very professionally. They arrived early and got right to work. I spent a few moment explaining what the problems were and they understood immediately. Both repairs were completed in less then half an hour. Great job!

We called Nick on a Saturday afternoon in order to schedule an appointment for him to come to look at the work to provide us with an estimate. Instead of letting us wait until the next week he came right away to our house within the hour. Very quickly we received the estimate with a very good price. We mainly needed to do the panel upgrade, but we had those additional items on our list, and he gave us a bit of discount if we did everything with him. The estimate and prices were fully explained and Nick answered all of our questions very quickly. He was by far the most responsive contractor that we have dealt with. The first day they started installing the LED ceiling lights, the work was done fast and Chris patiently responded to all my questions. Nick called again after the work was done and asked if everything is fine and if we are happy with the work. Unfortunately the LED lights were buzzing, so Nick was putting a lot of effort in fixing this issue so that the end result is how we wanted to have it. They also added the switch to the hallway that we needed. As Chris still had some time after installing the lights and switch, he prepared already the work for the new panel to save time for the day of the installation. Due to the extreme cold weather and the snow, the new panel installation had to be postponed, but Nick was ready as soon as the weather and our schedule allowed it. Nick, Chris and Denis did again a great job and were trying to get the work done asap so we can turn back on the heat. Again, everyone was very friendly and did a great job. The inspection was fast and without any issues. As we just moved in our new house there is for sure more work to be done and we will definitely contact Nick again.

Their service was good. They are good at their job. We had an issue we needed to discuss with them and they did a good job with that.

Words can't describe how happy we are that we've selected Luminous Electric/Nick to conduct our electrical work when renovating our home. This process can be very stressful; however, Nick is very responsive, courteous and makes every effort and goes above and beyond to keep his customers happy. From the start, he quickly responded to our request on Angie's list. He provided a quote in a timely fashion, advised us with a start and end date to complete the work AND delivered on his word. *Note: we've worked with several contractors in our home renovation and this is a rare trait*. We passed our electrical inspections with flying colors and couldn't be happier with the work Nick and Luminous Electric delivers. I plan on using Nick for any future needs and have already recommended him to my friends and family.

Since I did not receive the common courtesy of a response or a least an acknowledgement to my email I an no longer interested in this Big Deal.

Nick showed up with two electricians to look at the locations where I wanted new receptacles. They did the work in under an hour. The only problem was a small patch of broken plaster at one location but that was easily repaired. I got prices from another contractor and Nick's price was lower. I would definitely use Luminous Electric again.

After several back-to-back snowstorms here in NJ, enough ice and snow accumulated on my roof that it froze and blocked the rain gutters. Subsequent melting hit the "ice dam" -- and the melt water poured into my house. The leak was huge, the drywall turned to mush and I feared a ceiling collapse. I had read that hot tape along the roofline and in the rain gutters would solve the problem...and I searched Angie's List for a company... Lucky for me -- Nick had a bargain posted under Big Deals. I bought the deal, and emailed him. He got back to me the same day -- and then came out the NEXT day (Sunday!) to look it over. I still had frozen gutters, but he said if I got those cleared out, he could install the wiring. I DID get a company which removed ALL of the ice (they are terrific, too!) and Nick showed up at 8 AM Sunday morning -- just one week after I bought the Big Deal. I was very anxious to get the system installed before the next snowstorm. Nick and his two workers did it all professionally, competently, and politely. They arrived on time, made minimal noise, installed all of the wiring. They cleaned up after themselves, and left at 11:30 AM ... I cannot recommend them highly enough! While I still need to repair the damage caused by that leak, I feel SO much better knowing it's not going to dam up anymore. I'll come back and post the GRAND FINALE after I see the system in action.

EXCELLENT!!! I was so pleased with Ken and his co-workers. They were super polite and courteous to my wife as I arrived later on in the job. They repaired and installed all of the needed equipment without any delays. They repaired a broken line without any gimmicks. I will use Luminous Electric going forward and recommend them to my friends. I am a happy customer. Great work guys!

Due to weather, the electrician was late, however he called to tell me of the delay which gave him lots of points from me already. The work was done very well. When Nick arrived and found we needed a part he immediately went to the store to pick it up so his electrician could finish up. We are very happy with the work. We used an Angie's List deal of 2 hours for $99.

Nick and Chris are amazing! Nick was quick to contact me and arrange an appointment after I purchased their $99 offer. It was snowing on the day of my appointment so it took them some time to get to my house but Nick let me know that they'd be arriving as soon as they could. Chris arrived first and got right to work. Nick arrived shortly after and I showed him the two bigger jobs I wanted done. I was willing to pay above the two hour special so the job could be completed in one day, but I didn't have to. Chris finished everything I had requested in the two hours and did a wonderful job with all of it. My husband and I just purchased our first home and have a lot of plans for its future. We will definitely be calling Nick whenever we need electrical services.

Nick and his crew were very professional. Leading up to the date of the job, we got hit with a foot of snow, so Nick was very communicative about rescheduling for the following day. Nick and his crew showed up on time, we're careful not to track snow into the house and were able to knock the list of items within the 2 hour window of the deal. They were clean and were careful not to leave a mess behind. Nick and Luminous Electric will now be my go to electrician for all needs in my own house and my tenant's apartments.

Despite a heady snow fall, Nick came on time and finished the work very quickly. He brought 2 other clues and the work was very professional. Even when I needed to call him back to reset garage sensor, he came in right away and took care of it. I highly recommend them and definitely I will ask them if I need any other help.

Nick was a pro - he was very efficient and knew what he was doing. Our new sensor lights are working great! In addition to doing his job, he took the time to give us valuable recommendations to improve safety of our electrical connections and we would be working with him on replacing our electrical panel. Overall - I would recommend him!

We were looking to purchase the $99 deal and called Nick around 6pm expecting to leave a message and to our surprise he was available to come within the hour. We purchased the deal and he showed up and quickly fixed a few issues then started to debug and fix a shorted circuit we had. The house is over 100 years old and some of the wiring is literally falling apart. Nick fixed all of the circuit he could safely and gave us an estimate to totally rewire the 1st floor, which he strongly urged we do (and we agree). After Nick left we smelled smoke in the basement. I ran downstairs with an extinguisher and the smell was very strong and their was some smoke in the air but no visible source. I quickly called Nick and he came right over in under 10 min, urging us to be ready to run out of the house just in case (he as afraid of the old wiring being disturbed). When he arrived we looked for the source and it turned out to be our washing machine (which is about 10 years old and on its last leg). * * *This was a total coincidence and in no way related to Nick's work -- the machine's drum was leaking and the motor fried. * * * We were very impressed with his response and concern! All in all, we are very happy and will be using Nick again for sure!

The installation of the upgraded main electrical panel went better than expected. I really didn't believe they completed the work in record time, in my opinion. Professionalism impeccable.

I would highly recommend Nick as he doesn't waste his time nor our time. He shows up before time and completes the job ahead of schedule. Stands by his word when he quotes a price. The work done by him was perfect and happy to share that the city inspector approved the permit. All in all would highly use his services in the future.
