Keith responded within a few hours letting me know that while he couldn't take us right now (booked for several months), he could help. He emailed me what we should expect to pay for the services elsewhere and also suggested where we could go to check out shutters. I was hugely appreciative of this effort, especially considering he couldn't take the business himself. Great responsiveness and helpfulness that will have me looking to Built Well in the future!

 + 0 moreThe job went well but there was a communication problem between me and them. I had asked them to leave the room ready to paint since we were going to paint it ourselves. But, they did not do a lot of the finishing like the caulking, patching and just finalizing the room. I had them come back to do it and he was very gracious about it. Keith, the owner, is very good and communicates clearly. He always gets back to me when he needs to and his wife was great on emails as well. They did the job in two days and their price was reasonable.
Description of Work: I used Built Well Builders to build my nursery including de-boarding the room, installing a floor and putting up a picture ledge from scratch all around the room.

 + -1 moreProject went very, very well. Keith was always responsive to our requests and would call back if he could not take my call. Initial demo work was done on time and with minimal mess. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of his crew. Built Well was very respectful of our staff and the fact that we were a functioning office during the renovation. Our new office kitchen came out beautiful as well as the other rooms that were added. We now have more storage, space and a beautiful office to go to every day. Many thanks to Keith and Build Well Builders. Would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We recently renovated our medical office by incorporating existing unusable space into a kitchen, storage closets and an office. Keith and his crew were reliable, professional, punctual and neat. Keith went above and beyond to make sure that the work was completed on time as we had a very small time frame in which to complete our renovation. For this he gets an A +++. The sub contractors that were part of this project were a pleasure to work with, they included, plumbing, electric and HVAC. They all worked as a team to complete their part of the project in a timely manner. The office looks amazing and I can only say good things about our experinece with Built Well.

 + 2 moreThe work went very well, it just took longer than we thought it would. Keith was very responsive to what we needed and always provided us with alternative suggestions. He was very good about fixing whatever needed to be corrected and following up to make sure things were working properly. The subcontractors used were excellent. I have recommended Keith and Built Well to friends and neighbors in town who are in the early stages of renovation planning. Overall, Built Well did a wonderful job and I absolutely recommend him.
Description of Work: Downstairs, we completely renovated and expanded our kitchen by using a little-used bedroom. We also had a small office area created in the newly expanded kitchen. Upstairs, we had an existing bathroom expanded quite a bit and added a small bedroom. This required dormering out the front end of the upstairs of the house. This also meant that the outside of the house had to be re-sided. The roof shingles were also replaced as the roof line changed. New windows were installed in the new bedroom expanded bathroom. We had hardwood flooring installed throughout the upstairs and in the new kitchen/family room area. The expanded bathroom had significant tile work performed as well. A good amount of electrical work was performed as well to provide power to the new bedroom and expanded bathroom.

The scope of the project covered adding a second bathroom, a new front porch, new roof (extended roof and covering), add a new foyer, house siding plus painting of various new & existing rooms. Keith is great to work with, plus his vendors (plumber, electrician, tilework, drywall, painter, etc.) are highly professional and courteous. And, there were no surprise change orders. I highly recommend Keith & Built-Well!

 + -1 moreKeith began the work on our addition in February of 2011. The work was completed in April. We began the project by meeting with Keith's architect. The artchitect designed a bedroom suite that exceeded our vision. Keith executed that vision with the utmost professionalism from start to finish. We cannot be happier with the work Keith has done. The space is beautiful! We did consider other contractors but Keith was our first choice. He is professional, likable and fair. If we had any concerns he was always available when we called. He did the job in a timely manner and worked closely with us through each phase of the project. He was very sensitive to our needs. Keith always made sure that our living space was clean during construction. He does high quality work. He works with the very best of each trade. Not only did we hire Keith for our addition we also had him renovate our bathroom in 2007 and kitchen in 2008. We are very pleased with all of the work he has done for us. We highly recommended Keith to everyone we know and continue to do so. In fact may of our friends have used Keith for their home renovations.
Description of Work: In February of 2011 Keith added a Master bedroom suite to our home. The work was done over our existing family room. It included a large bedroom, walk in closet and bathroom. The addition required Keith to lower the vaulted ceiling in our family, remove the skylights and install new lighting. In addition we had Keith install a gas fireplace in the family room. The master bath includes a freestanding tub and large shower stall. He designed tray ceilings in the bedroom and bath as well as recessed lighting throughout the space. We also had new hardwood floors installed.

They kept the area clean and the work was completed on time and on budget, which was very reasonable. In addition, and of great importance was Keith's service. He really takes pride in his work and customer satisfaction. You become a client of Keith's, not just for the duration of the project but for much more. Every time we needed some work done Keith has gone above and beyond to help out. We wholeheartedly recommend Keith to any potential client. He is, without question, trustworthy, reliable and his work is outstanding. His commitment to his clients (past and present) is immeasurable.
Description of Work: In 2006 Keith was the contractor we chose to remodel our home. The project basically doubling the size of the home by adding an 18 by 40 foot two story addition. This included a new kitchen, family room, and master suite. Keith and his team spent time with us during the project making sure the work met with our satisfaction. The work, in fact, exceeded our expectations. Keith made sure that the project was kept within budget and found creative ways to make improvements when completing the work. The framing was precise and high quality materials were used. In addition, the plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, heating/cooling etc work were all completed with high standards. Keith was involved in each step and the communication was excellent. He is highly recommended. The total budget was about $250k. In addition, Keith has done other work since then, all the work has met or exceeded expectations. Most recently, our sump pumps were not working during Hurricane Irene. Keith came over during the storm to help and also at 11:00 the same night. Without his help, we would have had major flooding in our basement. This is the kind of commitment that Keith provides to his customers.
