A-1 was very responsive and professional. Communication began via email, the electrician then came to my home to see, first had what needed to be done. An estimate was then emailed to me. There were some changes back and forth and then a date for installation was made. The electricians were on time. they were professional and completed the job in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again.

Work was done promptly and professionally. They were able to schedule the job quickly in order to accommodate my work schedule. They were held up a day finishing the job due to the extreme humidity slowing the drying time of the cement but kept me up to date and arrived timely the next day and completed the job. I will definitely contact them again when/if I need more electrical work.

Paul was on time, professional, told me exactly what needed to be done and why and fixed the electrical issues involved in adding another outlet.

It was awful. I have found a lot of great people on Angie’s list. I checked out their reviews, set up days for the appointment, took off work, and they then let me know that they don’t service my area. There were about 5 emails back and forth regarding price and details, and I was very surprised that they did not tell me sooner.

Went great. Was late, but called to inform me of this. Very personable and professional. Did not mind the fact that I was observing the work being done. You can learn a great deal by watching a professional complete the task at hand.

We've been using them for the last 25 years and they are excellent! Over the years they have upgraded our electrical panel, installed/maintained our generator, installed new electric heat, installed additional light switches, installed exterior lighting above our garage, the list goes on and on and the work is always fantastic. Electrical work is expensive by nature, but their pricing is very fair. They are extremely honest and always provide great service and give great advice. They are the best!

A-1 Electrical Co. Inc. was punctual and called before arrival. They reviewed the list of items that were previously discussed to confirmed what required an estimate. Paul was able to fix the basement lights while here. An estimate was received 3 days later. Paul provided suggestions for better lighting options.

I had replaced several light switches. One did not work right. Paul took one look and explained that I used the wrong type of switch and why it was wrong. He did not have the correct switch in the same color so we agreed that I would just buy it and replace it myself. Paul did not charge me for the call. He was really great about the whole thing. I will be looking for a reason to use A-1 now and certainly would recommend them.

The service was excellent. When I called there was an option to contact someone immediately by pressing '9'. Paul the owner picked the phone and arranged for a call back from the scheduler. A electrician was in our house as scheduled. He was very proffessional and efficient in resolving the problem. Thank you for a very quick and professional response !!

They had to come twice. One of the repairs turned out to be a "should have replaced it the first time" deal since it failed again within 3-4 days. Did come back and were prompt and professional

Two electricians came promptly as scheduled and found a short in our circuit breaker box. They were professional and neat. The job was well done.

Estimate was provided in a timely manner, and work was completed professionally and promptly for a reasonable price. Replaced old dial thermostats with programmable thermostats and combined heating and central air into 1 unit. Installer only had 1 unit with him, so he sent one of the other electricians over later in the day that had an extra thermostat on his truck to complete the job. Also replaced and old chandelier in the dining room. Already thinking about using them again for future projects.

We saw them working in the area and asked them to come by to check out the issues after the storms and one day we came home the work was done we did not OK them to do the service and we got a HUGE bill that we argued....Storm price gouging as far as we were concerned....and we did NOT tell them to just show up and do the work they didn't give us a price before doing the work. We ended up calling them to argue the price and they came down a very little bit....we will never use them and have told others in the neighborhood who saw the wire hanging and they were shocked at how much we were charged.

It was great. They were very friendly. They did the work really fast. They made suggestions on things we could do ourselves to lower the cost, which we really appreciated. They did a lot of work so we didn't mind the price. They did the work really quick in less than 2 hours and they were really thorough. They were on time, very professional and friendly. We would definitely use them again.

2012 Paul H was extremely friendly and the work was done quickly and efficiently. 2013 Everything - questions answered, info found if not known, estimate given, schedules made quickly, work performed - is always taken care of promptly and efficiently. Staff is very friendly and bend over backward to make the event best for the customer. Staff views all options for what products should be used and does not force the most expensive products when a less expensive one will give the same result.

Last year we had some electrical work done by A1 Electric. We contacted A1 as well as other electric companies. We went A1 since they had good reviews. Their reviews were good as well as their prices. They would have to work with the masons who were laying down the stone patio. We were also putting in 6-7 landscaping lights. A1 did the job. We had some problems with the scheduling. The person who did the estimate was committed to another home. Paul, the owner, came out and finished the job. They were to put up the landscaping lights at the same time as trees were installed. Paul didn?t know how to put up landscaping lights. The people who came out were very knowledgeable. They also gave us an estimate to install some lights in the front. Paul ended up sending us a second bill after we had already paid what we thought was the main bill. After going back and forth with the office manager about the second bill. The office manager yelled at me and then discovered that we were still employing them. They billed additionally for repair work on the lights that they were working on. They have given us additional bills in December and now in June. I do not understand why we are still being billed for work that we have already paid for. The agreement for the work was for it to be done in stages. But he still wants us to pay him more for the work he has already done. In dealing with Paul he yells, screams, and shouts. He is not very professional. He doesn't respond to our requests. He doesn't respond to the details of the fact that we had already paid him. The people that work for him however are very nice, professional, and efficient.

Our main 200amp circuit breaker failed (A1 was not the original installer of our panel). Paul and staff called back immediately and worked the the fire dept to control the situation. They were to the house within an hour, trouble shot, replaced the main breaker (and had stopped by the store and picked up a matching replacement electrical box just in case it was needed). They found the root of the issue and are following up with a return visit to ensure that the root of the issue was what they thought. Thanks guys, you helped save our house!

Paul was very professional. I was very happy with the work performed.

They gave me a really high price for the work I was looking for ($13,000). I then went to another place for the same job and got a way lower price ($4,800).
