From start to finish, these folks are a pleasure to do business with and I have already used them a second time. Their initial proposal presumed that additional wiring was needed [after they climbed under the eaves and took a careful look], and their bid was very competitive for this work. While doing the work, they took a second look at their plan and creatively came up with a way of rerouting other wiring to eliminate the need for additional wiring and thereby also eliminated the need for exterior piping, etc [c. 1925 colonial]. Simply put, they were smart and thoughtful. And the price was reduced as well. As others have noted, they happily take care of minor things on the spot at no additional charge and are overall helpful, neat, prompt, and professional. Communications are excellent -- all via email, prompt and considerate. This appears to be a very well managed company that understands its customers and delivers excellent service. I will definitely be using them again!

We initially got the estimates of everything and decided to do them piece by piece, so they have come several times to our home. An example of a visit after we asked them to perform the work: They showed up on time and ready to go. Prior to the day of work, Matt gave us a detailed explanation of what could be done and the various pitfalls or merits of certain decisions. Very informative. They went right to work getting everything done and the work was flawless. The best part about working with this company is the cheerful spirit of the employees and the wisdom that they bring to the job. We are thoroughly pleased with what they have done and they are our go-to folks for all things electrical.

Called on Monday afternoon. The electrician came the next morning withing minutes of the 7:00 AM (yes he showed up on time and at an early hour) appointment the next day. He replaced the electrical cord on the dryer and upgraded the circuit on the electrical panel. He was done in about 45 minutes. Clean, courteous and on time. Only problem was that he didn't provide an invoice. He said one would be mailed. My wife was ready to give him a check and when told the invoice would be mailed, she didn't think to ask how much the job would cost. So we are waiting for the bill in the mail.

Very good. Professional, clean and punctual. I have used them 3-4 times. They have become my electrician of choice now.

Superb. These folks are simply outstanding. I sent off an email describing my issue and asking for an estimate. I received a same day response setting up an appointment for an estimate. Paul came by at exactly the appointed time, indicated how he could fix my electrical heating problem for less money than what I had expected, and sent me a clear, unambiguous estimate the next day. I accepted the estimate, a new appointment was scheduled, and Paul returned at precisely the agreed upon time and performed the job quickly and professionally. The name A-1 is an excellent description of the service received.

As usual, Paul was prompt, efficient, friendly, and professional when he visited our house to provide an estimate for the work. Also as usual, he fixed an unrelated electrical problem (non-working lights in the basement) within minutes of seeing it! Although he wasn't very familiar with the type of heating mats we were planning to install, he took the time to review the materials I sent him and made some very helpful suggestions. Although he sent a different electrician to do the actual job who seemed a bit unfamiliar with the project, he was also professional and we were pleased with his work.

I thought that they were fair with their prices for all the jobs and that they did their best with everything. I also thought that they were very professional over all, and all in all I was pleased.

Outstanding. This is the company you keep. Look no further than Paul and A-1 Electric. I emailed them at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon during the summer, and when I arrived back from dinner later that evening, there was an email from Paul sitting in my in box! Talk about responsive. We corresponded over the weekend via email so Paul could diagnose the problem, and he arrived Monday morning ready to hit the ground running. He and his assistant were fast, efficient and professional. They quickly rectified the problem, and also installed a cut-off switch which the builder failed to install when the house was built. I was so impressed with their work that I immediately asked for an estimate to install a bathroom ventilation fan. These folks are welcome in my home any time, and it's a pleasure doing business with them. Look no further than A-1 for all your electrical needs. And Paul is a heck of nice guy to boot; a pleasure to speak with and very personable.

They do small jobs and are very professional. I had used them maybe 3 years ago. This time I didn't feel that they were that urgent to get my trouble shooting fixed. It took a few calls and several emails to have this done. They were not responsive on email. Their prices were high this time as well. To literally connect two wires for my roof fan was $175. They will do the small jobs, but you will pay!

During the estimate the electrician fixed 2 outlets that had been non working for free. They gave us batteries and wall plates etc, they were very prepared and on time. They had to make 2 trips as the electrical wiring in my house was very "creative. They worked relentlessly, skipping lunch, to get everything the way I wanted them to. They not only installed but they properly fixed the wiring so it makes sense. They are real professionals and were highly recommended by people in our community. They cleaned up after themselves (debris and dust from drywall) and made sure not to scratch our marble and wood floors with their tools and ladders. They weren't overwhelmed by the size of our house and the difficulty of the work. (Our house had been renovated from a split to a colonial) I had called 3 other places and A-1 had the same price or better. I want to point out that while they were working on my house, they didn't try to hustle me for upgrades-very important.

I was very impressed by the punctuality and professionalism of A-1. They came out to the house really fast and did the job without a problem. I was also impressed with how they respected the work area they used and I would recommend them to anyone.

In the past, A-1 has put in some other very heavy fixtures of ours, all without a single complaint or hassle. They have to be one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with, and I really like their follow up and their knowledgeable manner When they tell you what it will cost, that is what you pay. If you don t wish to fool around and you need a contractor that is very serious about his profession, don t even hesitate, call A-1. I am very happy I did.

The work went very well. The electrician was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. Did excellent work. Plan to use them again.

Called a few electricians and left messages. A-1 called back right away and set up appointment for estimate. Electrician showed up on time for estimate and then showed up on time for the job. They charged exactly what they quoted. Really nice people - Cyndy in the office is as great as was the electrician who came for the estimate and install. I would absolutely use them again.

The installer was friendly and professional. He took his time to answer questions and provide explanations. After he was finished I asked about another project I was considering. He took extra time to explain several ways this could be completed and offered some advice. I would use A-1 for any electrical project/repair that I may need.

I was very impressed with the high level of service and professionalism. After having my phone calls ignored by other electricians, it was refreshing to get quick responses to both my phone calls and emails (and to have someone actually pick up the phone when I call!). When Paul arrived at our house he was friendly and professional, and suggested several options for us that should save us money on the final job. I have no doubt we will hire them for additional work in the future.

THIS COMPANY IS FANTASTIC. THEY ARE WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE ON ALL OF THEIR PROJECTS TO ENSURE THEY ARE COMPLETED THE RIGHT WAY. THEY ARE ALSO VERY INNOVATIVE IN THEIR WORK.

I HAD THEM REPLACE AN OLD TIMER ON A LIGHT AND THEY DID ANOTHER SMALL ODD JOB FOR ME. THEY WERE RIGHT ON TIME AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND STAYED WITHIN THEIR ESTIMATE. I WAS DEFINITELY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.
