Description of Work: Job involved cleaning carpet in 3 rooms and 4 mid sized couches. A single worker was on site for just under 2 hours. Just 30 minutes was spent unloading and reloading equipment, measuring area of rooms, and collecting payment. I think that approximately 1.5 hours spent for the actual carpet cleaning does not justify a price of $560, and 1.5 man-hours is not adequate to properly clean such a large area.

Description of Work: I'm sorry to not fill this out but it was some time ago and I don't remember a lot about the day with them. What I DO remember is that they never moved a piece of furniture! They only cleaned what you can see! For this reason, I'll never use them again.

Description of Work: They were really fast, not as thorough as we hoped. Did not want to move anything, so my husband did alone. The deal covered three bedrooms, they charged $101.50 for the den, hallway and stairs. With the deal,it's a good price. The carpet was very wet right after cleaning, but look much cleaner after it dried up, a lot of stains were gone. Overall I'm happy with the results with the price paid.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal to have some carpeted steps cleaned. I live about an hour away from this provider so perhaps it was too far to come for a small job. I would have had them estimate and probably clean my entire finished basement, but after several attempts at trying to schedule an appointment, I am moving on. They email and say they will call, but it never happens.Too bad, it was a good "big deal"

Description of Work: I hired this company through a daily deal to clean two rooms. When I mentioned pet stains in two areas, they said they could take care of them, but charged an extra fee that ended up doubling my initial cost. They left me with some complicated "after care" instructions to finish lifting the odor/stain and I tried to follow up, but still there is an odor. I feel like the carpets were cleaned, but not as thoroughly as other providers have done.

Description of Work: Cleaned the carpet in two rooms and two staircases. It went well enough and the carpets were as clean as any other service I have used in the past. The only thing I did not like was the fact that their carpet cleaning "engine" had to be brought into the house and it was noisy as h***. Other services run hoses from their trucks where the carpet cleaning "engines" are housed. Also, when they loaded their machine back onto their truck, I guess they emptied the residual liquid onto my lawn, which burned out a week later. Two feet more, and they could have emptied it into the street. Go figure.

Description of Work: They cleaned the dryer vent. They did not arrive during the agreed upon time (12:30--1:20 window). I finally called them an hour later, and they arrived promptly within the half hour. They wanted to be paid in cash, which I think should have been indicated at the initial contact. I would definitely use them again. They were very personable, and their work efficient and clean.

 + -1 moreTwo gentlemen did a great job. The deal was for 3 rooms, but they did my entire downstairs, master bedroom upstairs, and a hallway. (about the equivalent of 750 square feet). They were courteous and respectful. They did come a little late, but called to say so.

The tips on proper rug treatment and maintenance was helpful also the debriefing on how and when to access the carpeted rooms was also very helpful. We have small children which adds both curiosity and interference and both Carmine and Ed were patient and great - most appreciated. We will be a repeat customer and recommend Carpet Rescue.
Description of Work: It was our first time using an Angie's List "special" and we purchased a 3 room rug but we added cleaning the stairway carpet when both Carmine and Ed arrived.

 + -1 moreThe date was set for March 12 between 9:30 and 11:00am. The service provider did not show-up or call on the scheduled date. So I sent back a message requesting for a refund since he did not show. The response was he called twice and left a message but I have no record of that on my caller ID. He did call today around 6PM today as my caller ID indicates, but didn't leave a message. At least leave a message, apologize, attempt to re-schedule...just follow-up as a courtesy and reassure the client. I just don't get a good feeling about this contractor and I do not want to pursue this deal further.

 + -1 moreWhen I bought the Big Deal, the contractor contacted me right away and after some back-and-forth, we scheduled a two-hour window for last Saturday. However, when the day came, no one showed up. The contractor also did not get in touch with me to explain or reschedule: I had to call the following Monday. In fairness, he was able to schedule me for the very next day at 4 pm. He arrived shortly before 5 pm and set up quickly. He worked fast and did a good job on the carpets. He was also very helpful in giving tips about furniture indentations in carpet and how to avoid / remove them. All in all, it was a bit of a bumpy ride, but once things got cleared up, he did a good job and was personable and helpful.
Description of Work: The provider cleaned wall-to-wall carpet in two third-floor bedrooms and the staircase leading up to the third floor as part of an Angie's List Big Deal.
