Ken's Appliance & Repair

Ken was recommended by Home Advisor. He returned my call immediately and was at my home as promised in the afternoon. It was two days before Christmas and he understood my urgency to have my oven repaired. He is a pleasant guy and he was a life saver. His price was not outrageous and was well worth it. The only reason I am rating the value for my money at 4 stars is because I have no idea how much it woulld have cost had I been able to get quotes from other companies. I would highly recommend him to everyone and would definitely call him again if needed.

He quoted me a charge of $65.00 to come out and look at the problem with my oven plus parts. After he looked at my oven he told me that the burner had to be replaced and it would cost $225.00 He left the old part, so I checked with Amazon and found that it was an igniter and not a burner and it could be purchases for $26.95. It took him less than five minutes to install and it was installed with two small screws and two wires that had to be installed and less than five minutes of labor. He collected $189. for this service.. When he left I made the mistake of giving him a good review

Ken called me back right away and he was at my home within 2 hours. He fixed my dryer without having to order any parts, so I was able to do laundry that next day after it broke. What a great experience!

Ken was quick in responding but his knowledge is lacking. I hired Ken to fix a front loading washing machine, which he was supposed to be a certified repairman. After the first visit I put in 2 loads of laundry and in the rinse cycle of the 2nd load it stopped working. Ken was called, he came back several days later. He was in and out very quickly, I really wasn't able to even ask what he did. I put a load of laundry in and it never made it thru the rinse cycle and stopped working. I have since called Ken requesting a refund of at least 1/2 of the $150 he charged, to date no response

Ken responded to my search on HomeAdvisor within seconds of my opening his site. Knowing that it was a refrigerator that was the problem, he offered to come within the hour to do the repair. He was at my house in 40 minutes, and had diagnosed the problem in short order. He had the parts on hand and the refrigerator was up and running within an hour. In addition, he explained problem and possible cause. We talked about other appliances while he was at the house, and arranged for several other repairs for which he placed orders and promised completion within a week.

Excellent experience. Will use Ken for all future repairs.

Repaired a faulty start switch in my microwave. Didn't fully put the casing of the microwave back on. Did me a "favor" by charging $ 100.00 on a microwave that cost me $139. Found that cost to be rather high .
