Tear down and replace old roof and siding with new roof and siding.

Carl's is a first rate company to deal with. They weren't local to me so I initially contacted them by phone. They were very responsive and helpful. I visited them and they were excellent to deal with. Gave me great advice. They told me when the fence would be ready for pickup and it was. The quality of the fence was excellent. Very, very pleased with Carl's and would only deal with them if I needed another fence.

Looking for outside corner lot fence (appx 90+ feet in all). First contact with Carls via phone - very courteous. Sales person (Brent) came for site survey, was on time, very personable and went through all the options. He left us with a detailed quote. I received two other quotes, one lower and one higher. I contacted Carls and asked if they could come down a bit on cost, as the one quote was a decent amount lower, but we felt more comfortable with Brent as a company rep. I told them I'd be willing to meet them 1/2 way between their first quote and the other lower quote. They did that and then some. There was a bit of confusion on install date. They, at first, set up a date that was no good for me and I had asked to cancel and reschedule. They called the day before that date to confirm the install. When i told them that date was no good and i was awaiting an alternate date, they apologized and said they will reschedule when we're ready. We got new date scheduled. The day prior, i got the confirmation call, and the next day the workers were there. The two man crew came at about 9-9:30am. We went over the job and settled any questions between us. They went to work and were finished, cleaned up the work site by about 3-3:30pm. They installed all posts in concrete, did the sectioned install, went around the entire fence with cleaner and rags to leave fence nice and clean. As for the product, So Far - So good - guess time will tell :-) I have a section of 6ft wood fencing on other side of house that I may look to replace some day. When ready, I will definitely give Carls a call.

My initial appointment was with salesman Mike Smith. We went over fencing options and I feel he gave me a fair price. On the day of the installation the crew doing the install had some confusion over my property line. Long story short, the fence went up outside of my property line and when I recognized it I immediately contacted Mike. He promptly came over and acknowledged the mishap. Mike quickly scheduled a date for which the mistake could be corrected and it was without incident at no cost to me. Now the fence is installed properly and looks great. I would say Carl's stands by their work and Mike was extremely professional and helpful. For me the mistake was not an issue, it was how fast they corrected it without any hassle.

I had hoped that I could give this company an 'A' because everybody I dealt with was so nice. But their commitment to keeping appointments is non-existant.. The salesman who came to give me the estimate was punctual, professional, helpful and pleasant. So far so good. The install date was scheduled and installers were to arrive by 4 PM. At 4:30 I left the house after waiting all day. I called them (they never once called me to say they were delayed) and was told that they were still coming and if I wanted to reschedule, it would be another month wait. They finally arrived at @ 5:30. They were finishing up when it was becoming dusk (after 7:30). Was hard to see details. I told the installers that I was supposed to have the posts set in concrete. Instead they were set in dry material. A day or two later I noticed that two horizontal boards were very gouged and that there was no finishing board trim on the front edge post. I called for repair and an appt was made for a week later. Late in the day I called to see why nobody came and was told they couldn't make it at all that day. Another appt. was made for another week later. By now the flowers had grown and were partially obscuring the lower damaged board. I told the guy on the phone that it would be best if they brought a whole new panel AND that I wanted to be home when they came. On the day scheduled I told them that I had to leave the house at noon and if they couldn't make it by noon I would schedule another day. They assured me they would be there before noon. Sure enough they came sometime in the afternoon and replaced an upper horizontal board that had shards of wood out of it, never touched the lower board, and put the front trim on with a large nail with the point sticking out. Again I called for service, got an appt. another week later. They actually came in the morning and took that whole panel apart to replace the lower horizontal board (hadn't been told to bring a new panel). They took care of the spike that was sticking out. All ok, EXCEPT that I mentioned again that my contract says my posts were supposed to be set in concrete. Again I was told that they always use the dry stuff. Well, it looks good now but that wind really blows from the south. Thats why it blew down in the first place. If it starts to lean, I'll be complaining sure enough. For now, I just have my fingers crossed.

We were very pleased with Carl's. Our initial salesman, Rob, was prompt, straightforward, and answered all of my questions. It took awhile (understandably, being in storm-damaged Monmouth County) between the initial estimate and the actual work, but the crew of three arrived today -- on time, got right to work, and were done in two hours. Excellent work and service. One very minor downside that made me give a "B" instead of an "A" for responsiveness. After the initial estimate, I was told that it might take awhile to get us on the calendar. OK, I got that and was fine with it -- there is still a load of cleanup to do, and I realize that these companies are busy. However, I noticed that my deposit check had been cashed as soon as it had been received and no one had contacted me to give me a date for the service. I just think that once someone actually 'takes' your money, they should get back to you to give you a heads up as to when they will perform the work.. I had to call to clarify this, and was told that "it usually takes us 3 weeks or so to call to get you on the calendar." That said, they did schedule us during that phone call ( and later called to cancel and reschedule due to the recent downpours) and we were highly satisfied with the overall result.

It went very well. We had to wait because our area was innundated with damage. They scheduled us as soon as possible. The representative didn't try to oversell us as another contractor did. He knew the local code and answered my questions. They specifically told us what we needed to do before they could do their part. When I called for clarification, they answered my questions.

Everything went well from the initial contact to the company, through Angie's list, to the final clean up. Smitty, the sales rep, and Mike the installer, were both professional and informative. I am quite pleased.

Carl's Fencing installers arrived promptly at 8:00 am to begin the fence installation. I had some specific requests regarding the location and attachment methods in a couple of areas, and the lead installer listened to my suggestions and made it happen. The installation was fairly quick, accurate, straight as a arrow, and strong. They anchored fence posts in concrete and were careful to align and level everything before the concrete set. The gates they installed were strong, high-quality units that were mounted and aligned perfectly. They finished by approximately noon, and picked up all trash and scraps and took it with them. All in all, a very good experience with this company.

The estimate was a bit lower than another we had gotten and there were good reviews so we went with Carl's. We had some very specific requests for different fencing in different parts of the yard. We had made a change over the phone after the initial order. When the materials arrived, there was not enough of the fencing we changed to but that was quickly taken care of and did not interrupt the installation at all. They had planned to complete the job in one day but, due to a thunderstorm, it took another half day. The men worked well together, each knowing their own task but aided each other as needed. The lay of the land made the job a bit troublesome but the work was completed in a very satisfactory manner and the fencing looks great!

Salesman was nice, not pushy and explained everything well. The installers they sent Jim, Alex and Nick were great guys. They arrived early in the morning and worked all day in the heat until it was done. Around 11 hours. They were very professional, no messing around, made sure that everything was done right and double checked placement of gates and layout. They didn't leave any mess behind and everything looks great.

We never had a leak with our old roof and we had two leaks with the new roof. It was within six months that we had two leaks, it was probably not even a month after the new roof. Two weeks. Somebody told me that the flashing was never changed. Would I recommend them? No. The price was appropriate for the service. It wasn't a discount service by any means, with the going price. I did happen to look at the reviews on them on Angie's list and they are mixed. There are mixed reviews. There was one man that was very unhappy.

My overall experience with Carl's was very good. The crew's that were used to perform the sizable installation was very efficient and professional. I worked closely with the crew chief and have to say that these guys worked hard. There were 60 sections of fencing to install and they did it within a little more than 1 day. The only real issue I had was communications coming from the main office which were not always clear and was tough to get anyone to return my phone calls when I needed information or an update. The same thing happened when I needed my gates adjusted after installation. What I can say is that Bill (one of the owners) was very responsive once I escalated the issue and was always professional. He really cares about the business and the customer and this was refreshing. The fence turned out great and the gate adjustments were perfect and they came when they promised. I would certainly recommend them and would use them again.

No follow-up call eventhough I had used these guys for fencing before. It seems like they (like many others) got into the roofing game after Sandy. They are not serious about roofing or potential clients. I would not reccomend.

The fence installation went well. The workers asked questions and offered suggestions on how the fence was being installed. They left the premises spotless.

This company was A plus. They called when they said they would. They came on time. The site supervisor Frankie walked through the property with me and told me everything will be perfect when he was done .Frankie was very reassuring and put my mind at ease. He was very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. The guys worked very hard but Alfonso was the best of his team. They cleaned up afterwards and Frankie was on them to make sure everything was as I asked. I have nothing but accolades for this company and will recommend them to all my friends and whoever asks. The site supervisor Frankie was the best I ever came in contact with. Hats off to Carls Fencing for a job extremely well done. .

All i want is for him to come out and take a look. i used this company twice, i think a reputable company would stand by their job.

Joe was a very good salesperson to work with. We got several estimates, and they were the most competitive. We had a new vinyl fence installed with 3 gates and decorative toppers on the front fence. Lorenzo and his team installed the fence in one day, and they did a great job. They worked very hard to make sure the fence was installed to our specifications. The workers left the property clean. Overall, we're very happy with the original installation. We had the fence installed at the end of September, and one month later (during Superstorm Sandy) a fallen tree crushed two sections of the fence. Another team repaired the fence within two weeks at approximately $700. The only thing I didn't like about this team was if I wasn't home to see them, they were starting to re-use the collapsed pieces of the fence. I explained to them that we were being charged for all new pieces. That's when they went to their truck and took out new panel pieces. They ended up re-using the caps that go on top of the posts. When we received the itemized bill, we were overcharged for a couple of items and billed for new caps. The office quickly resolved the problem and reimbursed us. I'm basing my "A" rating on the first experience we had with Joe and Lorenzo's team.

Everything was very smooth. Joh Rankin, the salesman, was very knowledgable, courteous, and professional. The crew that did the install was a pleasure to work with and did a great job. They did leave a very tiny mess here and there but nothing to complain about, 8 out of 10 as far as cleanliness goes. They resolved an issue I had with leveling the fence after we had a miscommunication. All together a great experience and they deserve to be considered when you are thinking about a fence install/repair. I am a happy customer.

Good a very good information what goes into a good fencing. Their rates very competitive.
