We couldn't be more pleased with the installation of our new fence and gates. Everyone we had the pleasure to encounter from the beginning to the completion of the job demonstrated exemplary professionalism, courtesy and knowledge. Outstanding service demonstrated by the showroom staff, their representative,Kevin, who evaluated the project and did the estimate to Alex, Jim and their crew who performed the installation. Communication was superb. Everyone communicated in a professional and courteous manner. All involved were also considerate of us and our property. Kevin, the representative that completed the evaluation of the project and gave us an estimate that was clear and concise in describing what our options were, costs and what to expect. No surprises or hard sales pitch. We felt that his goal was our complete satisfaction with our decision and their services. Everyone kept appointments and called at designated times. We were never kept waiting. We received calls a day ahead to confirm ETA. Alex, Jim and their team were outstanding in every way. They communicated with us throughout the day to ensure the project was going according to our expectations; ie: addressing gaps between previous fencing and new, etc. They didn't assume ...they had the courtesy to ask and explain our options. I would also like to mention they had some unexpected obstacles due to extensive road construction being performed in front of our home and on the island related to Super Storm Sandy. They were very considerate and cooperative with the construction crew as well as with us. They never complained; even though they had to carry heavy materials a further distance and were unable to enter our driveway. They remained professional and pleasant throughout a very long day. At the end of the day, they removed all old fencing, concrete, and debris. They then swept our property and left it better than they found it! We were very pleased with the integrity, professionalism and service provided. We love our new fence! This is our second experience with this company and each encounter has been extraordinary. So often people readily complain when they are dissatisfied; but, neglect to recognize a job well done. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the people, especially those aforementioned, for their outstanding service and product. We would certainly recommend this company and utilize their services in the future if the need arises. It was a pleasure doing business with this company!

I was very happy. Everybody was great. I was very satisfied. I would suggest that anybody who was looking for what I had done use them. The price was fair.

It went excellent, they were perfect. I have no complaints with the company.

It went fine and they did a very good job. I had no problems with the workers. They were very prompt. I would tell a friend that they did their job and we are happy. I would also use them again.

First off and foremost, the actual installers were PHENOMENAL; they were extremely professional, did an outstanding job, and clearly communicated everything that was going on. Even the sales agent that first came to the house to give an estimate was punctual, professional, and did not force anything in the sale. The prices were actually very competitive and they were able to fit us in earlier than another company, so because it could be done earlier and cheaper we went with this company. That is about where the quality of this company ended. DO NOT USE THEM. Since my experience I have discussed with other people who have had fences installed by the same company and they shared a lot of my pain (wish I knew this ahead of time). On to my experience: I was told, with over two weeks advanced notice, that my house would be the first stop on the installers route that day and I was told to expect the installers at 10:00 AM. So, I took off of work, woke up early, and eagerly expected the installers. By 11:30, when no installers had shown up yet and no call from the company had occurred, I decided to contact the company and ask what was going on. After being put on hold and transferred to a "manager" I was told that the installers were having car trouble and would be there within the next 15-20 minutes. At 12:15, 45 minutes later and now a solid 25 minutes past the time I was told to now expect them, I called the office yet again and was transferred to another "manager". This guy was supposedly a son of the owner or son-in-law to the owner of the company. He was pleasant on the phone but informed me that my install appointment was NOT at 10:00 AM but instead it was 1:00 PM.... wait what? So why was I lied to about the car trouble and told I was scheduled for 10:00 AM??? He had no answer for that but told me they should be there shortly and to not worry, but if they don't show up to call back and ask for him personally. Well, at 1:45 PM when still no one was at my house I called back and mysteriously this second manager was gone for the day. So I spoke to now a third "manager" who again assured me that the installers should be there any moment as they just left the last job. Finally at 2:05 PM the installers showed up at my house and when they arrived they informed me that I was in fact scheduled for 10:00 AM but that they were called on their way over and told to go to my house late. Also, I was told that they did not in fact have any sort of car trouble and that they did not have all of the installation materials since they used some up at the last job (they would get back up supplies delivered later). The installers apologized many times for the fact that they were so "late" and felt awful even though none of this was their fault. The installers started and were off to a great start, however upon working on the fence I became completely infuriated about the fact that I had taken off of work and lost out on that paycheck along with not being able to accomplish anything considering I sat on my hands for over 4 hours. So, I called the office and demanded to speak to a manager (got manager 3 again). When I spoke with him and explained that I was extremely unsatisfied and furious that I was lied to throughout the day multiple times he was very unresponsive. (I understand things happen, things change, but DON'T LIE ABOUT IT). So I demanded a discount (or the $200 fee for the gate to be installed to be waived) and got absolutely no compromise from the manager. When I threatened to withhold payment, the manager then hung up the phone called the installers and informed them to stop working. After 20 minutes of no noise, I went out and provided the installers with some Gatorades and asked what was going on. They reluctantly told me they were told to stop working because I was not going to pay. Even though my yard was ripped up and they were 2/3rds done with the job they were told to not finish and to leave. I was in full on rage mode at this point, called back and said fine put your workers back to work please I will pay the balance I just want this done. I heard a "heh, fine" and he hung up. Upon checking on the installers they were back to work. When they finished the job was very well done and I am very happy with the installers and the quality of their work but overall the company is run by a bunch of stone cold liars that I will NEVER recommend to anyone ever again. H*** I actually started this Angie's List account just to leave this feedback. /Rant. DO NOT USE CARLS!!!

They did a great job for me. My neighbor was impressed with them and used them do install a deck for him.

Sales staff very courteous and knowledgeable at point of sale. Disappointments happened after. I was not thrilled with installer or how I was treated after the job was done. I thought what I wanted was very clear by salesman's proposal and let them begin work when I wasn't home (briefly). By the time I got home the positioning of a post and some wire fencing was not to my liking and when I told him so he said, "You should've been here when we started." Not what I wanted or needed to hear. He did re-position one post on the other side for me, which I appreciated. After they were done I called to speak to salesman twice and never got a call back. I paid in full so I guess they were done with me! After I posted this review I got a call back from the salesman saying he didn't know I had an issue with the service and wanted to correct the problem at no charge. I accepted and the work was done quickly, efficiently, and courteously! I was very pleased with the second crew of installers and happy they wanted to address my earlier dissatisfaction.

Install went as expected. Work was done neatly and professionally; only issue was clean-up. Lots of nuts, bolts and other small debris left behind.

I felt like a burden for contacting them and didn't even want to go forward with a quote.

We had Carl's install a vinyl fence at our house yesterday and remove our existing chain link fence. They did a great job and our new fence looks great and came out perfect. They had to custom build a gate since one of our gates was an odd size and they did an excellent job. Would highly recommend them to anyone

It went fine. Can't really say how cheap it was given that I did not competively price it. But it did not seem out of the ball park estimate wise. They did a nice job. I would use them again.

My new house was in need of a new fence to provide security for the pool & dogs plus add a bit of privacy. Carl's Fencing came in promptly to give an estimate. On the day of the installation, they arrived on time & started working right away. They removed the existing chain linked fence & got working on the new fence. There were 2 guys for the job - they worked their butt off. It took them all day & had to battle stubborn tree roots but got the job done. The fence looks great. They took away all of the old fence & left the yard neat. I'm so happy with the work, the job was very professionally done.

We were delighted with the fence that Carl's installed. We had trees that had died in our small backyard as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The backyard is very close to our neighbors. Carl's removed the trees and installed a beautiful fence with a mini lattice top. We paid a llittle extra to have all the sections of the fence equal in size and are happy we had that done. The workers were very professional. Looks great.

Overall the finished product is great and everyone was very nice along the way. The frustration was that I had to stay involved along the way. There were a few hiccups which required my attention but in the end they owned up and made it right. I very much enjoy my deck and everyone who sees it is impressed. Pro's: - Responsive. - Courteous. - Great finished product. - Improved the design. Challenges: - Decking delivered without notice. (in fairness, a supplier) - Wrong fastener initially used, addressed with my correction. - Showed up to measure railing without advance notice, gate later had to be redone. This is a very good company very close to being a great one. Give them a shot but I would confirm all of the details with them each step of the way. Thank you for the great deck.

Overall, they were good. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves.

There was a delay due to weather....but once the weather cleared the project was completed in 2 days. the deck looks great! Thank you Angie.

They got all the permits, poured the footings, got inspections, and then built this huge deck in 3 days. Every step of the service, they had their hand out for another "Progress Payment". In the end, there were tons of screws left on the ground for my dog to step on and many of the deck boards weren't nailed down! They nailed the ends down, but not the middle. Nail heads were sticking up to 1/4 of an inch. I had specifically mentioned to the salesman that we sat down with that I did NOT want to deal with nails and nail heads popping up. The spindles on the railings were all different lengths and one of the rail caps had split and fallen off within weeks. I called numerous times and was told that the person I needed to speak to was "Busy or away from his desk", so finally it took a Better Business Bureau report to get them to call me back. Once said and done, they came back and took care of the items of concern, and did it properly. After that was done, they sent us gift cards to a local chain restaurant as an apology. All said and done, we are really happy with our deck and we will even consider them to do a few other projects that we have in mind. It may have taken a bit to get their attention, but they did deliver in the end.

They were reasonable, but not the lowest. They were friendly. In the end, we ended up making a wooden fence by ourselves.

installer did a great job, quality work, but dealing w/ the sales team can be a bit one sided. I know everyone is very "busy" but it falls on you to follow up constantly with the sales team to find out the status of the install, quotes, etc.

they did great job, finished in two days. I will definitely recommend Carl's Fencing to my friends.

I called about an estimate for a fence repair and was passed off to someone's voicemail. I left my name and number(twice) on the VM and never recieved a call back. Highly unprofessional in my opinion.

I bought their fence instead of another one because they said it would stand up to everything. They were supossed to come out for a different job which ened up cancel. They don't stand behind their product. It was less than a year old and my son threw a baseball at it and it went through both sides. They were not receptive at all to this I will not be using them for anything again.

The installation went extremely well. The gentlemen who removed our old fence and installed our new fence were professional and hard working. They worked way beyond their normal work day, and the finished product was beautiful.

The representative who came to my home showed up on time and was able to provide me an accurate estimate the same day. I contacted 3 other companies for estimates and I had to wait for them to e-mail it to me which took as long as 2 weeks for two of the companies. Carl's pricing was very competitive and every time I had to contact them to ask additional questions about the estimate I received a call back within 24 hours. In addition to their prompt resonse to my calls they offered financing options so I decided to go with them. When I received the estiamte the representative stated that because of the size of my yard, it would take 2 days to complete. I was also told the workers would arrive between 9-11. About 7 guys arrived at 9:30 am right on time and they stayed at my house all day and got it down in 10 hours. Excellent work.

The workers were fine. I haven't really talked to anybody from Carl's other than they came out a couple of weeks ago to check something that they haven't been checking in the beginning and they repaired it and it was fine. The guys were here on time, but when they did the repair it was almost a year later.
