Great! Our plumber Rafael tech# 304 , was very friendly, explained the process the pros & cons and pricing.

Rafael #340 was great- professional, wiped his feet, asked to enter, and introduced himself; we discussed the problem. He explained thoroughly what he believed to be the problem. Only way to find out was to pull the trigger. The price was a slap in the face... the numbers came out of his mouth in slow motion... $571 and change. He walked me through his process explaining along the way as he worked. After the job was done, he cleaned the area thoroughly. Good experience with the tech- Rafael knows customer service. Overall I’m satisfied with my experience, only problem is, I’m ‘more broke’ than I was before.

They were passable, nothing special. They charged a lot of money for the work they did. They keep me waiting for 8 hours for doing the job because the plumber is doing something else. They said they will come 9am in the morning but he showed up 5PM and later.

Excellent. The technician, Rafael, was at my home within 2 hours of the initial call. Rafael explained to me what was wrong and how to avoid this happening in the future. Very professional. Performed the needed work, outside, in the rain, on Super Bowl Sunday. He was my MVP!

So during the cold snap of early Jan 2018, I had a seriously clogged mainline, things were getting mission critical.... water backing up into the shower, sinks, and bathtub, dishwasher not draining. So I called Roto Rooter at like 10pm on a Sunday no-less! I am thinking that these guys are gonna fleece me. So this dude Jim shows up and it's Russia outside and he just starts handling it. He thought he got it fixed, but it still wouldn't budge. I call back on Monday, and now the owner Dave shows up, and he just handles business like he is at war!!! Finally, things look like they are fixed. But.... 48 hours go by and things go south again, Dave dispatches Jim back here, and finally they get it completely cleared out. Bottom line, 258.00. Straight some of the most professional, genuine, sincere, and authentic New Jersey people I have ever had the privilege of doing business with. I don't BS, and I have zero tolerance for lame, weak ticket contractors, Rotor Rooter of Monmouth is what a real local business should strive to be.

I had water in the basement. They had to clean the drains. I did not have to call them back. They fixed the problem when they were here. They were very expensive but good. I would use them again.

It went well.The plumber (Ronald)came within the appointment time and was very professional.Working very hard and persistent ,using the snake and plunger he finally remove the blockage. He said the blockage was far in the pipe.Also he knew right away when it was cleared by the sound it made. He was was very thorough and knowledgeable in his work.I would recommend the company to anyone.

We had a big problem: water (i.e., sewage) bubbling up next to where the main stack entered the ground. This was on the outside of the pipe, and could only mean a crack in it. I had run a snake into the line and encountered a blockage, but my little snake was useless. I called these guys because they advertise complete plumbing services in addition to snaking lines. We also had a leaking water supply valve in one of our toilets and figured we'd have the guy change that when he was out here. The technician quoted about $500 to snake the line. I thought that was really high. I asked him how that would solve the problem since the water was coming up from outside the pipe. He said it might. My fault for believing, but I figured if the line was blocked maybe the backup pressure was forcing the water up into the house. It wouldn't fix the pipe, but might alleviate the problem until I got the pipe repaired. Now, the toilet . . .. The technician told us that the toilet was very old (true) and he didn't have replacement parts on his van. He wanted to go to Home Depot, buy a toilet for us, and charge $475 to install it. We declined. Over the weekend I went to Home Depot myself, found everything I needed and did the repair myself. Cost under $20. It took me under 1/2 hour to make the repair (not including the 45 minutes to go to Home Depot and back). I expected RR to charge me about $75 to make the repair. The guy refused to do the work and wanted to sell me a toilet I didn't need. Since the guy said replacement parts weren't available, I googled the toilet and discovered that it dates back to at least the 1950s. It's considered a unique piece (mid century modern), and people are selling them for around $400 and up. This guy was so insistent on putting in a toilet from Home Depot, I wonder if he wasn't intending on taking our old one and selling it. Just a suspicion. When the guy gave me the bill, I saw that there was a charge of $59 for "materials." I asked him what this referred to, and he showed me a bottle of "pipe treatment" he was going to leave with us. I told him I didn't want that, and I had to argue with him for 10 minutes before he agreed to refund the cost of that (he had already run it on my credit card before showing me the bill.). He kept insisting that his quote included "all materials" but obviously this stuff wasn't needed (or used) for the snaking job so I think that was completely dishonest. Getting back to the sewage line: the technician said that repairing that line was handled by a different department. They would need to send somebody with a camera to find the leak and give me an estimate. The next day some guy called to schedule that visit. As an aside, he told me that the cost to inspect the line with the camera would be over $700. I nearly fell out of my chair. But ... if we had these guys do the job, the inspection was free. This scam would give them a $700 price advantage over other plumbers, because the only way another plumber's price would be lower is if it was more than $700 less than RR. I went back on line and found out you can buy a camera for less than $30 from Amazon, tie it to a snake and inspect the pipe yourself, which is exactly what I did. Everything about these people is designed to rip off the customer. They know if you have poop coming up into your home you're desperate and will pay anything to fix the problem. Steer clear if you can. Find an honest plumber. (The one we used for 20 years retired, unfortunately.)

The problem was solved on the first visit. Unfortunately he had to go out and purchase a new faucet, which upped the price, but it was necessary. I would recommend both Raphael and Roto-Rooter to all my friends. We've used them for years.

It worked out very well. They knew what they were doing, and they knew that somewhere there had to be a trap and it was buried. They took the time and they got paid for it, granted. I have had issues with that sewer since I?ve been living here. Everyone said there?s a trap, you?ve got to find it. They said, ?if there is a trap we will find it.? I give them a top grade and I did something that I don?t normally do, I wrote something on their social media. Their price was probably reasonable. We got 2 quotes and one quote was over $2,000. They basically charged me around $1,800 and that included the first day they were there to unclog the drain. Right off the bat they said it was $400. The minute they opened up the drain and they couldn?t find it they only charged me $200. They came back the next day because I gave them permission to break through the concrete. I have no complaints. They were fantastic.

They were terrific. I only have good things to say about them. They responded within the hour, that was really great. I would recommend them highly, and they were fair and honest.

It worked out very well. It was a little pricey. They were very good in response. It was the first one to pop into my mind because I knew they did sewer drains and I have used them before. The workers were ok. They were good and clean and experts at their jobs.

Every time I have a problem I call them about plumbing. The price was okay considering I had no other choice. Punctuality was good, they said they would call.

The job went great, soup to nuts. Great crew. I was always surprised that a big name like Roto-Rooter was mentioned in the top three recommendations (even from a town employee), but later found out Dave is one of the last franchisee owners, so it's not the Roto-Rooter corporation that's excellent, it's Dave and his staff. When I remembered I needed another shutoff valve on the other side of the water meter (so I don't have to drain the whole house when the meter is replaced), he agreed on its need and said ok, no extra charge (for an already low price). I'm whole-heartedly recommending him. Best price, great work, he calls back, his office is completely professional and nice and got right on getting the answers to my several questions. My neighbor came out to ask how much and his eyebrows shot up at the low quote, then walked over and contracted for his water main to be replaced. Don't believe quotes of $5K or $13K. They're just ripping you off. Even your favorite, excellent plumber will probably subcontract out to Dave, so call him first.

Everything was fine. They asked my insurance to pay for some of the stuff that they did. The flooring needed to have them put the big dry machines to dry the walls. That I think they took themselves from the insurance company. They came right away. I have no comparison on price. They were very good, they came in an hour, and it was a Saturday.

When the Tech got here he went right to work and was able to pin point that we had a clogged pipe 100ft to the steet. He got it all cleared up and leFt us with some preventitive tools so it would not happen again. He explained everything to us and was very professional ans it was comforting that he was in uniform.

it went wonderful! the last time we had an issue we called AJ Perri and they ended up breaking our pipe and leaving the job unfinished because they wanted to charge us $700 after they broke our pipe. We had a great experience with Roto Router and I would recommend them all the time.

I've been with them...I have no problems with them. They are very good. I don't remember the cost, it's expensive. The technician that comes here, I would give him an A. For the price, I don't know because I don't know what these things costs anywhere else. I really can't compare it to other companies. I have been dealing with them for so many years, I have just kept up with them. I have not called anybody else.

The service and timing was honestly amazing!! He was so thorough and showed us exactly what was the problem and explained everything. He cleaned up every thing as well! Best first experience of my life! I hope it won't happen again but if it does this is DEFINITELY the company to call! Now our sinks and toilets and bathtubs are not flooding with water! But our carpet and flooring is ruined, which Rafael explained to us what we would do for that. Thank you so much for helping! And having such amazing people work for the company! He was amazing, fast, clean and thorough! He is an asset to the company! Thank you!

Fine, except I thought he charged an awful lot

They did a good job. It went very well. It took them 30 minutes to complete the job. They communicated very well.

The technician arrived close to the appointed time. No work was done. I thought the quoted cost excessive for the time it would take to clear the drain.

Two men worked for 4 hours. They did a good job on cleaning. Had fans and dehumidifiers for 3 days. Cost $6000. My insurance paid but no wonder our insurances are so high.

Roto Rooter was quick to respond. The technician came, diagnosed the situation (roots penetrating and clogging the pipes), and quoted me their standard pricing for the work. I agreed and he cleared the pipe within an hour.
