I can't say enough nice things about Roto Rooter and the people they sent for my repair. When I called in the morning to report that my sump pump was not working, I was expecting an appointment several days out, especially with the holiday approaching. To my surprise, they dispatched a technician within an hour of my call. He diagnosed the problem and wired HQ for an experienced plumber who could repair or replace my sump pump. He came within the hour, ordered a new pump, and about 90 minutes later the new pump was installed and working. I was blown away by the service and competence.

We called Roto-Rooter at about 11pm because we had a flooding condition due to a blocked sewer line. Eric responded within the hour and diagnosed the problem right away. We felt so much more at ease once Eric explained the problem to us. He is a very nice, down to earth man and very good at his job. It's important to make the customer feel confident in the work being done and Eric did that great! I'd recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone I know, and Roto-Rooter should be proud that Eric works for them.

The quote was offensive at $415. The plumber was also rude. We are having someone else come for $49.99

The plumber arrived very promptly (I'd say within a 1/2 hour) after making my request by telephone (operator was pleasant and courteous). The plumber advised me of the cost ("We charge $419 for this kind of thing. I'm confident I could fix it."). I was free to take it or leave it, and I decided to accept it, due to the urgency of the situation and the small likelihood that I could get anyone else to come help me so quickly. I had a $40 coupon, so with the tax, it ended up costing approximately $407. The plumber was very courteous and professional, and his confidence was appropriate, because he completely resolved the situation. While I was very pleased with their promptness and professionalism, I'm reluctant to say I would use them again (given the choice) because I feel they are taking advantage of customers (knowing that they often will be in a difficult bind, such as I was) by charging such an exorbitant rate for less than a 1/2 hour of labor. If not for that issue, I would give a high rating to the plumber who did the job and recommend him to anybody.

Professional, courteous and prompt.

Carol was helpful and very friendly when I called her and got a message to the dispatcher immediately. Within an hour, Jerry was here and was sweet, efficient and helpful. He told me how much it would be, which seemed quite costly to me, but assured me that that is indeed the going rate for kitchen drain snaking. When I agreed, he gathered his equipment and went to work. Apparently the work is guaranteed for six months. I have had such difficulty securing plumbers in the past, and this was shockingly easy.

Called them up very professional rep set up an appointment. Plumbing guy came on time even though it was Saturday morning. Cleaned up the root clog on the sewer line. They were bit pricey but the job was done in A++ quality way. Also gave 6 month warranty on the job.

Use Manny and Pedro Tech 525. They are great. They ran a cam in the French Drain and proved it was clogged up. The were very good and very respectful. They represent their company with high standards and work with you to make a proper diagnosis of your problem. Us them if you call them. Great team.

Work had to be rescheduled due to unavoidable delay beyond Roto-Rooter's control. Was always kept informed in a timely manner. The initial and interim attempts provided 3 technicians at the worksite. The final Four man work crew reported promptly at 7:00 AM, and worked in severe weather conditions. A total of 5 trucks and a backhoe were used in completing the job. They were gone by 2:00 PM, which included an hour delay waiting for final inspection by the County. From start to finish, all of the technicians, assistants, equipment operators, and administrative office personnel assigned to this effort were polite, thoroughly professional, and inspired confidence. Given the magnitude of the effort, I found the cost to be reasonable. Your motto should be "Flushed with Pride!"

They were very good. We were very pleased with them. They were very professional.

Technician Erick #271 took the time to explain everything, made sure he got the water flowing again and gave advise for how to prevent it from happening again. There pricing was a bit steep, but they got the job done correctly and quickly.

Our drains started backing up early in the morning. We called and Roto-Rooter sent Manny,Tech #525. He arrived at 10AM as promised. Manny was very professional and quite thorough, including a camera inspection of the sewer line, which detected a "belly" in the line where debris could collect. He was able to remove the blockage and the sewer line was clear and everything running normally in no time. We are very pleased with the service we received and will definitely contact them again should we have any further trouble.

They turned out fine, very good. They had done work for us before. They were pretty professional so there was no problem there. They knew how to take care of the job. They did a very good job. They were very responsive.

Roto-Rooter were very expensive but very efficient. They were very professional and quick. The staff that came to my house were great.

The cold water valve to our washer self-destructed at 11 PM. Water was spraying all over the place! After we shut off the water to the entire house, we called several so-called "24 hour" plumbers. None responded, except Roto-Rooter. Not long after our call, Josh showed up and dealt with the situation. He installed a shut-off valve temporarily at 1 AM so that we could turn the water back on to the house. He then came back the next afternoon, exactly as we had scheduled, and installed a high quality brass valve to complete the repair. The valve he used is MUCH higher quality than the cheap garbage that our builder used, so we are confident this repair will last for many, many years to come. An outstanding job! Josh was polite, professional, and very competent. The price was also very reasonable -- no gouging due to the hour or nature of the emergency. Oh, and as far as those other "24-hour" plumbers? None called us back before 8 AM the following morning. We told each to take the "24 hour" claim off their advertising, since it is clearly false! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Roto-Rooter and Josh.

HE HELPED US SECURE THE FUNDS WE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER GREG (6943) AND NEWSOME(8542) DID THE INSTALLATION AND AFTER A ROCKEY START THEY WERE ABLE TO FINISH THE JOB AND LEAVE THE PROPERTY CLEAN AND CLEARED OF ANY DEBRIS. They're a little different experience. It ended up okay but it gave me a lot of aggravation and fear in between. My main backed up. They cleaned it out. It backed up again. They cleaned it out. It backed up again. They said it was a root and they were going to have to come and do all this other stuff, which could potentially be more expensive like digging up my lawn into the middle of the street to get to where my main connected to the sewers of the town. I was complaining about it because they were wanting to charge me more money to try a jet wash versus whatever they were using. I also let them know I needed, so finally what happened is I called the town and the town said they would send a couple of guys over to make sure they were doing the right thing. So, it was at that point that I told them that I wanted to schedule it when someone from the town was there and I wanted to make sure what the problem is. I don't know if it was the owner or someone else that was higher up in the company that came. When he looked with the camera he saw that there was a rock or something and all they had to do was push it into the main and it would be fine. He was mad at his people that they didn't see that to begin with. He didn't charge me to come back because of that and it's been fine ever since. But, I don't know if his people were trying to get me to spend more money, they were incompetent or what. They did come quickly. It was an emergency situation, they did come quickly and things like that. I'm just not sure if their people were trying to get me to spend more money or somebody was just not as knowledgeable as the manager or possibly the owner that came by and took a look themselves once they heard that the town was coming over.

Roto-Rooter sent Dave and Mark yesterday (Sunday) to repair the drain backup problem in kitchen/pantry/basement, and to fix leak from pantry to basement. They arrived promptly at 10 AM (no extra charge for weekends), and finished about 7:30 PM. In addition to above repairs, they also (1) using a ?snake camera?, spent over an hour to trace and find a second cesspool, which not surprisingly required service; and may have been the cause of the backup problem; and (2) broke up and removed an ancient 3-sink concrete laundry tub in basement, which was leaking sewage onto floor. They traced another leak to a cracked inlet valve on our dishwasher; while they do not do appliance repairs, by isolating the source of the leak, they facilitated my following up by ordering a replacement part and installing it myself per their instructions, saving me the cost of a service call by Whirlpool. Overall, they were professional, friendly, and knew their job. They were informative about what they were doing as job progressed, and were more than cooperative. They removed all the old pipes and other debris and cleaned up to my satisfaction. While they are not cheap, they did the work efficiently and competently. Overall, I was very pleased with their work, and with the timely response of Roto-Rooter, especially working all day Sunday at no extra charge.

Issue occurred on Sunday and they responded within 2 hours of the call. Service rep came in to review problem and was thorough. Main sewer line in home needed clearing and he brought in machine to run line into sewer. Was extremely careful of our home and covered all areas impacted. Completed and cleared away any reside. Had used this service and office previously and would continue to recommend them and use them in the future.

I had roots in the sewer line I needed "rooted" out. They came within the 2 hour window, the man was nice enough until the end. I had a $40 coupon which he refused to use because he said he already wrote up the bill. He knew I was paying cash which actually saves the credit card fee for "Roto Rooter". He could have amended the bill or written up another one.... The coupon was actually sent by email yesterday for "hug a plumber day". I don't actually have an issues with his work just that he didn't honor the coupon which they sent. I think the price was also too high, I had the same thing done by another company for much less 2 1/2 years ago I am amending my review.... I as contacted by the management of Roto Rooter and they gave me a refund in the amount of the coupon I wanted to use. I was contacted by two different individuals and they were both professional and polite. So my issue with them is resolved.... thank you very much

Plumber Terrence O"Shea repaired my leaking toilet in the most professional way. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions patiently, and completed the job quickly. The pricing was fair and I didnt get that "OMG is he getting over on me?" feeling. Highly recommend!

Crew arrived earlier than originally scheduled.

It wasn't an easy job, but Hank persisted until the drain was unclogged. Hank was punctual, professional and pleasant. He was quite agile and overall knowledgeable. A perfect guy to do this job. We would use him again.

I called at 7:30 pm and was given an appointment window of 8-10 am the following morning. Their office called early to confirm that Patrick would be arriving between 8:30 and 9 am. He was here promptly and kept the work area clean. He ended up snaking 90 feet into the main to clear the clog from our toilets and tub. While here, he also replaced a bolt on a toilet and pointed out a small crack for us to keep an eye on. The cost seems high but he worked quite a while (2 hours) for just a drain clog.

I called at 3 a.m. when I noticed dirty water back-flow coming out of our basement shower drain. A Roto-rooter employee was at our house by 10 a.m. and did a professional, thorough and prompt job clearing out our line. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. Gave me some tips for the future. However, price was 25% more than the same job done by them 1 and 1/2 years ago)
