Our main swear line clogged and we weren't able to use any water without it backing up in basement through the toilet. They came out quickly after hours to clear the drain. We were told it was only a 50/50 chance they would be able to clear it without digging up our front lawn and putting in a new clean out which would be upwards of 5000.00 since they didn't see a clean out in our line. We ended up calling for a second option, and drain was cleared for 400.00 in about an hour, they had no problem finding our clean out.

Jose #3260 cleaned my sewer drains and he did an excellent job. He explained everything, was very professional and knowledgable. He cleaned up after he was finished and did the job in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again.

They were incredibly responsive. They were at the house within the hour, after business hours. Immediately assessed the situation and made recommendations. They worked with our insurance company to get the adjuster on the claim. Once the cause was determined, they immediately fixed the situation and restored our basement to its clean, dry state. Within 24 hours the entire situation was resolved.

We started to notice flooding in our front yard for a couple of days, which had been quickly worsening. We called Roto Rooter that evening, and they had someone out to take a look at the issue the following morning. Once explaining the problem to the gentleman, he then stated another service tech would come out 2 HOURS LATER to give us an estimate. Very strange. Then Peter from Roto Rooter came out for the proposal. He told us it would cost $6600 for excavation and spot repair of our exterior water line for up to 30 feet. For such an exorbitant amount of money, I would think that cost would cover an entire water line replacement (oh, and Peter, if you would like to argue that I will tell you right now I had Pipeworks come give me an estimate, and that was exactly the case...$6800 for 115 feet of water line replacement). I demanded to speak to a manager upon calling the company after Peter left. Mario, the representative assured me Bob or Chris, the excavation managers would call me to discuss the proposal in a timely manner. 2 HOURS LATER I received a phone call from PETER, who decided to argue with me and insist that this is the most cost effective option. Luckily, I found Drain King on Angies list shortly after having such a negative interaction with Roto Rooter. They provided us with superior service. An exceptional spot repair for LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF WHAT PETER FROM ROTO ROOTER quoted me. $3000 to be exact. With that said, we believe it all happens for a reason. Being new homeowners, we feel relieved to have found such an honest and reputable company such as Drain King. We are happy not to have had Roto Rooter extort us. I truly felt as if this company profiled our neighborhood and gave us a proposal based on their assumptions of "what we could afford". This may not be the case, regardless, I would never recommend this company to any Angie's list member.

Overall they did a good job. They came the same day I called even though it was late in the day. We had no water in the tub/show and would have been very inconvenienced if they didn't come and resolve the issue. That was very appreciated. I was a little put off because they left the tub very dirty from standing in it and some of the debris from doing the work. I feel they should put something in the bottom of the tub to protect it and make for easy cleaning when done. I was also put off somewhat by the plumber repeatedly talking about how difficult it is to work with the Moen Posi-Temp fixtures. He and his partner struggled a lot trying to remove the cartridge and actually ended up cracking the cartridge, which is something he kept warning me could happen. They ended up having to pick the cartridge apart piece by piece to get it out. I felt that he brought a lot of unnecessary tension to the situation. But at least it worked out in the end.

Everything went well. They were very courteous and very nice. They cleaned up before they left.

They were completely professional, on time and took care of the problem. I would hire this company again. I have worked with them in the past they have cleared out my drainage to the sewer as well, this was not the first time. They guarantee their work as well.

Went fine. Drain was fixed but for an astronomical fee on a simple snaking of a drain.

RESULT WAS EXCELLENT AND THE ACTUAL TIME TO CLEAR THE CLOG WAS REASONABLE. MY CLOG WAS PRETTY BAD. THE OVERALL TIME WAS ABOUT SIX HOURS BUT THE ACTUAL TIME TO CLEAR THE CLOG WAS AROUND 2 HOURS. ISSUE WAS THAT THE FIRST PLUMBER SENT DID NOT ALL HIS EQUIPMENT AND I HAD TO WAIT CLOSE TO THREE HOURS FOR A SECOND PLUMBER. THIS IS WHY I GAVE A BAD RATING FOR RESPONSIVENESS. I KNOW I WAS GOING TO PAY A HIGH RATE FOR THE SERVICE BUT I EXPECTED A SHORTER TIME TO COMPLETE THE JOB. THE SECOND PLUMBER (ROGER #745) WAS GREAT. MY CLOG WAS HORRIBLE AND HE DID EVERTHING TO CLEAR IT, WHICH HE DID. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DILIGENT. MY SUGGESTION IF YOU USE ROTO-ROOTER IS TO INSURE THAT THEY SEND A PLUMBER THAT IS FULLY EQUIPED.

Our washer drain cycle started backing up into the house, it was 4:30 PM. I called expecting to make a future appointment wondering how long I would have to wait to do laundry again. To my surprise the dispatcher said someone could be at my house between 5:30 PM & 7:30 PM for no additional charge. The technician was there within the hour. He was professional and courteous. He cleared whatever was clogging the line and thoroughly tested. I was completely satisfied with the service. It was the price tag that stung a little bit.

Henry is very professional and in my opinion a master plumber. He took to listen to my concerns and performed a thorough investigation. I highly recommend him.

Frank was very nice and explained the issue clearly. With any plumber, it was pricey, however we have not had any issues since the fix! Also, they came quickly and have weekend hours!

He arrived on time and kept me aware of the problems that unfolded. It turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated, but he kept going until it got done.

The plumber showed up a little past the given arrival time and looked in the basement at the water on the floor. He unclogged the pipe, snaking a line thru the shower drain. The next evening the water reappeared in the basement. After calling Roto-Rooter for another service call we were told he'd arrive in 20 mins. An hour later he showed up and it appeared the toilet paper that clogged the pipe cleared since it was on the basement floor. He stated a cap was needed for one of the pipes but he didn't have one on his truck. There wouldn't be a charge. He would return the next day, the 3rd day of this issue, between noon and 2pm. He called about 1pm and said he was stuck on a job and would call later. 9 days later nothing. They have lost a customer

Figures we would have a major problem (sewer clogged) on a holiday weekend but not a problem for Roto-Rooter! Scheduled them late Friday night for an early Saturday (July 4th) appointment and not only did they call to provide an estimated time of arrival but then showed up on time!! Peter was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient - completed the job within an hour and gave us a 6 month guarantee on the work.

I installed a new deep sink which I ordered on line. The contractor was unable to hook it up due to a problem with the drain height touching the dishwasher line. After calling 6 plumbers on Angie's list I called Roto-Router. The others were all busy due to the holiday and many emergencies they said. One told me oh I'm sorry we are not taking any new customers at this time,Whatever. Roto-Router came within one hour of my call. Seemed like a tough job at first due to size of new drain running into the dishwasher line. Mike called his supervisor who he referred to a McGiver for suggestions. He came up with his own solution which worked. Mike was friendly and professional. I would definitely use him again.

After some problems with scheduling which did not work out the day before, the technician came at about 6.30 p.m. (he was scheduled between 5 and 7 p.m.) I had to go out at 7.30 p.m. He worked very fast and successfully cleared the blockage and I got out on time. The technician was very courteous, very efficient and tidy and clean in his work.

He showed up early, cleaned up after himself, and did the job. I was delighted that it has a six month guarantee. I guess the true test will be when it rains the next time to see if we continue to have overflow into the basement. The upstairs bathroom sink was also draining slowly and he fixed that quickly as well. I took about two hours to do this job.
