Description of Work: I had a question about replacing a sewer cover which broke. Although I learned they don't do that, a very nice fellow came by to have a look and gave me some very helpful tips on whom to call and what to get. There was no charge, and I really appreciated his coming and giving me that information. I would use Roto-Rooter in the future if I have any kind of plumbing problem.

Description of Work: Needed them to find out cause of toilet being stopped. Initial service helped but he had to come back to do more investigative worked. Came out and worked on outside pipes rather than looking at inside ones first. so of course, problem reoccurred. we called them again. appointment made but the Never came. Called again. They never came when stated. We've moved on!

Description of Work: They were VERY expensive - I had shopped for serveral estimates and they were by far 3 times more expensive than anyone else. The man who gave me the estimate was also very pushy - wanted me to do the work right then and there. It left a bad impression on me to say the least .

Description of Work: Came to do an assessment, then incorrectly diagnosed probleem and gave potentiual fee of $1200. Another plumber came in and resolved for $400.

Description of Work: Very punctual. Very professional. Took the time to check what the drain issue was; however, price was over double what eveyukbe else charged! I had a competitors coupon to do the same job for 99.00 and these guys wanted me to pay 250.00! They said they couldn't meet the advertised price. I thanked him but sent him on his way and aj perry came in and did the job for 79.00. I would have used root rooter if they were not do expensive.

Description of Work: Wow. Total farce. They promptly scheduled an appointment and did show up at about the right time. The technician looked at the problem under the sink and told me everything had to be replaced, that the existing conditions were awful and that I was lucky that I had not had a problem sooner, that all the work was not to code. I gut renovated the apartment 5 years ago and licensed people did everything...he was being dramatic. He provided a quote for $300 plus parts for the sink fix (leaky drain pipe) and he provided a quote for $500 plus parts for a slow shower drain. $800 plus parts and tax. He said it would take him about an hour. I sent him packing. I bought a monkey wrench and tightened the P-Trap under the sink.. Cost: $15 I bought a bottle of Drano Max and put it down the shower drain. Cost: $9. Problems solved. RIP-OFF Preying on people afraid to try to fix their own problems...ABSURD

Description of Work: Called Roto Rooter for a clogged shower and sink. The answering service was courteous and promised someone would be there between 11:30 and 3:30. When no one showed up at 4PM, I called again and they said it might be another two hours. By 6 PM, no one showed up.

Description of Work: Cleaned the pipe from the house to the street sewer system - tree roots cut and cleaned out - cleaned the "U" joint - was replaced one year ago by a visit then.

Description of Work: We spent $1500.00 and still had water leaking from the bathroom down to our kitchen. Not including the $1800 we spent a couple weeks before this service date on a job that was not fixed properly. No one at roto rooter was able to give us a proper answer as to why we still had a leak. They kept telling me that I had to wait for the water to dry out. Well it never did, and the leaks continued. We ended up calling a different plumbing company and they found three additional leaks and finally did the job right. One the leaks was from the initial $1800.00 of work that roto rooter did. Do not waste your money and your time. SHAME ON YOU ROTO ROOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Description of Work: My upstairs toilet was leaking into my kitchen. Called several plumbers early Saturday mourning. Only Roto Rooter was responsive and told me they would send someone it two hours. Felix arrived in less than two hours. He explained what the problem was (broken lead bend) told us how much it would cost and how long it would take. He spent several hours on the job and was constantly keeping us informed of his progress. I would definitely use Felix and Roto Rooter again.

Description of Work: Jim, from Roto-Rooter, arrived on time, checked all possibilities of where the problem might be that caused our backed-up toilet and explained the options and costs available to us. He was great. He fixed the problem after we decided on the less expensive of the options we could have gone for. He accepted our $30 Angie's List coupon, finished up in a timely manner, answered our questions and advised us of how long Roto-Rooter guaranteed the work he had done. He was friendly, customer-service oriented and professional. I would use this company again in a heartbeat. (All of the work was done outside of the house--checking the cesspool, spill-over cesspool and lines.)
