I called and explained I had a home inspection report for sale of house with HVAC issues. They gave me a 12:00 to 2:00pm window, called me at 1:30pm telling me maybe 20 minutes on one truck or maybe just a few minutes on another truck. They arrived at 2:40pm (40 minutes outside the service window) without any additional phone calls to keep me updated on their lateness. Service technician thought it was a 2:00 to 4:00pm service window. I went over the items on the home inspection report, then asked if he wanted to go downstairs to take a look. He told me to give him 2 minutes while he went to the truck for some tools. He returned and told me he spoke to his boss and he could not perform any work. He told me the company does not get involved in real estate transactions as they are concerned they could be dragged into court. OK, fine, but why not tell me that when I called? He told me his email on the service call indicated I had had an inspection from the gas company. No, I clearly stated a home inspection for sale of home. They wasted nearly 3 hours of my time waiting for them to do nothing. Hopefully the next A-rated Angie's list company will perform work or be upfront on the phone call.

Excellent experience. The salesman was knowledgeable and non-pressure. The work crew was professional, neat, clean, very experienced, did work above and beyond expectations and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. Spectacular!

I then listened to the unit and I could not hear any unusual noise. The system made the same sound that it always did. I heard no thumping sound or noise. I then asked him a question about air conditioning in general and his response was, "I am not here to give you a class in air conditioning." I then asked how much it would cost if I did need freon and his response was $237.00 per pound. I told him to pack up and please leave. I then called another company to come over and they arrived the same day. They tested the system and determined it was indeed low on freon and it required one additional pound of freon that would cost $15.00 per pound. I then went inside the house and felt the air coming from the air duct. It was significantly cooler with the addition of freon and the problem is now fixed. MY RESPONSE TO THE COMPANY RESPONSE The company's response in this matter was completely was disingenuous. After the service technician left my house, I called the company to complain about the service and I requested a refund. The service manager absolutely denied my request. I then told him that I will sue his company and he said "Thats okay!" It was only after they received the summons to appear in court that they refuned the money for the service call. That is just slightly different from the way they made it sound in their response.

I highly recommend this company. Will definitely use them for further work.

The installer that they sent out didn't really know about tankless systems, they advertise that they are familiar with tankless systems but they really aren't. As a matter of fact, he told me that it was his understanding that these systems were less efficient because they use more gas, which isn't true. He lacked the knowledge about tankless systems. I ended up having to have another company come out for the tankless water heater. We were very specific when we called and scheduled the appointment and expected to have a technician come out that was familiar with the tankless system. They were on the high end in regards to price, most of the time he was at our home he was waiting for parts to be delivered because he didn't have the proper supplies to do the job.

It went well and they had it done in a day. They did a pretty good job, but it was a bit expensive. We had just moved into the house and had to have water. I think they ripped me off because I checked around later.

They were on time, and came out very quickly. They gave an estimate on 2 sinks/faucets that had leaks. Advised me to replace both of them with estimates of around $400 and $700 apiece. For repairs were going to charge me approximately $250 - $300 apiece. I spent $50 on the estimate. I ended up calling the company that makes the sinks to see what they recommended. One of them had a lifetime warranty and they sent me the part FOR FREE. and the other one the company told me that the plumber was incorrect in his assessment about which part was broken. In fact a different part was needed. They sent me the part for $4. In both cases the company said it will be simple to install the part and I won't need a plumber. Glad I didn't use these guys and I will not be calling them again in the future. Seems like all they wanted was to sell people on new hardware. I wasted $50 on a bad estimate.

Overall a good experience. Salesperson was personable, low-pressure, and didn't try to oversell. Installers were efficient and did a quality job.

I was under a service contract with them and I paid $400 for the year. They are excellent workers, very clean and pick up after themselves. They wear booties in your house so they don’t track in dirt. With the service contract you get priority and without it, you may have to wait a few days. They are excellent with time and even give you a call and let you know that the truck is on its way to you. They were very professional and I had no problem with them.

They were way more expensive than we could afford. It was probably a good quality furnace but we were not able to afford it.

A very nice and knowledgeable salesman came out to inspect and old boiler and provide and estimate for replacement. We chatted awhile, had a very friendly conversation talking options and details and I thought almost for sure we would pick this contractor. I was told an estimate would be on it?s way in a day or two by email and US mail. After a few days passed I sent two follow up emails and two voice mail messages. I never heard from them again, hence the ?D? from us.

Very well. Very punctual. Installers were very responsive to requests for information and thermostat placement.

I wanted to convert my oil-based heating system with natural gas. After comparing multiple contractors (all who had great reviews on Angie's List), I decided on Gilson because they seemed more professional than the others. I wasn't disappointed. The crew came in multiple phases to install the gas pipes, then after the gas was turned on, removed my old oil boiler and replaced it with a gas boiler and water heater. Everything was done on time, and everything worked immediately afterwards, which was a huge concern of mine because the weather was getting colder and I couldn't afford to have even one day without heat due to an infant at home. Pricing was similar to the others who gave me quotes, but I think they were all a little high. Overall, though, I'm very happy with the job.

We got them off of Angie?s List and they were really great. They were very professional and organized. I was able to call and leave a message on their automated system, and they got back to me in a few minutes. The guy came over that day, and on time. He was very thorough with his estimate and walked me through all the options, and that was pretty much it. I didn?t like it that they charged me for an estimate but I can understand that some companies do that. I would use them in the future.

I called for service because my radiators weren't functioning properly on the second floor of my house. I tried to bleed them without success, and it looked like the system's water pressure was lower than it should be. No way I was going to fiddle past a certain point with water, radiators, and an old house. I called two companies; Perri got the work because the phone rep put me on the phone with a guy at the company who explained what the possible issues were and told me the cost neighborhood the job would be in if it was at the low end of complication. Better still, he encouraged me to watch and learn from the repair guy, which I really appreciated. They were able to get someone out to the house within about an hour and a half. Turned out the issue was a faulty valve, which was a LOT more expensive than the repair I'd talked about on the phone. But they extended me the 10% discount, told me what the possible issues were, came fast, did the work fast and thoroughly (from what I could tell), and were extremely professional. I had no question that the tech knew what he was doing. And he was pleasant, to boot. Could I have paid less elsewhere? Maybe. But I'm confident the job was done well?and that it won't need to be done again.

It was a positive experience. They were very punctual and very professional. They did a great job of tuning up the old air conditioning system. It has been working very well. I have a short term contract with them.

It was a very involved job and it took them three days. They were very professional and really knew what they are doing. The system works really well. I am really pleased with the job.

You can beat the quality. They are on time and they even put shoe covers on to prevent tracking in on my floors.

Scheduled service for air conditioning to prepare for another humid summer in the northeast. Provider was on time, and very friendly. Wore surgi-booties over work boots in consideration of our floors. Replaced filters in system, cleaned exterior compressor and found a problem with power supply that would likely have caused a system failure this summer. Accepted company's sale offer of a one-year maintenance contract which includes furnace service in the fall - the price I have posted includes that 1-year contract.

They are punctual as they show up on time. They clean up after themselves. I will use them as they are my regular contractors for many years. The price is reasonable.

Generally good. They push unreasonably for more service to the extent of irritation.

Company arrived on time on the scheduled day. 2 men came to do the job. Replaced all of the drain pipe in the cellar to the point of exit in the house. Also roto rooted the entire drain and performed a camera inspection of the line to the curb. Quality of the job was excellent. I just feel as if it was a little too expensive, but they did come in better than the other plumber I called.

Everything went well and everyone from the sales man to the installers were professional. The installation team was very neat and took time to answer my many questions.
