I want to say both Angies list and AJ Perri were easy to deal with and corrected issues and concerns without quibble.

See description of services performed. The work was done fine, but the price seemed to be significantly more than I paid for a similar repair on my other central air unit last year.

Had one contractor come in when my AC went down and they just put in freon, the next day the unit stopped working again. After arguing with the other contractor I decided to call AJ Perri. They had an tech come out and look over the unit, after discussing some options with him we decided to get a new energy efficient unit installed. The sales rep came to the house to size up the house and give suggestions on different options. They were very informative and even offered to bring out window units for free until the new unit was installed. The crew came out on the hottest day of the year and were very clean and organized, took care of everything in a few hours and were on their way. It was pretty costly, but I think it was worth it becasue of the warranty and we know we worked with a reputable company who will stand by their work.

They did a excellent job. He was on time, professional and an expert of work.

AJ Perri was very responsive - very courteous and very professional. As a local business they were anxious to help and let us know that they would be close by if we needed anything. They estimated the work, took a few phone calls to clarify issues and differences between a few estimates. We were pleased with their numbers and fair treatment - crediting a temporary repair to the replacement job. Overall, they were always on-time and would call in advance to remind us they were on their way. Their pricing was competitive and the work was completed very professionally and quickly.

After my AC blew out on a Saturday, I went to call the HVAC company that had originally installed the unit 4 1/2 years ago - only to find that they had gone bankrupt last year. When I called AJ Perri, not only did they answer on the first ring but they promised to send someone out in an hour. Although the warranty parts were hard to find, Chris in the service dept located them at a distributor and found a runner to personally drive out to fetch them. That's great service by any measure. I would highly recommend this company for their promptness, professionalism, and technical know-how.

Incredibly high priced plumber: The job took 70 minutes from the time the plumber entered our house to the time he left. A small amount of metal parts were used. For this the price was $518, including taxes. I have never paid such an outrageous price for a plumber before. Sure, we needed the work done, but if we had known ahead of time the pricing was so exorbitant we would have made an appointment with some one else. Also when we agreed to the price, we thought a lot of work must be involved, not just one hour. If you take the price of the metal away, this plumber is on the order of $400/hour.

They did a right job. Initially, I wasn’t too pleased with the work that they did; but then they came and corrected it. There was some problem with the ductwork, and the laundry room where the furnace is. They rather rerouted that a little bit; but the way they did it, it was blocking some of the room as well as view out of the window. I had complained about that, and they had somebody come in order to correct that. When the inspectors came to look at their job, he had noticed there was a problem with the exhaust fan in the water heater. AJ Perri fixed that for me for free of charge. I thought that was very nice of them.

AC not working. Joe came out, diagnosed that 'Dual Capacitor' was bad and replaced it. Total time about 1/2 hour. Charged $369 for the capacitor, ( in addition to $89 charge for the visit). When asked if I could purchase the capacitor for less he skirted the issue. I was able to find the identical part that I could buy retail for ~$60. I am sure it costs his company even less wholesale. So I was clearly ripped off, with the cost of the capacitor a price gouging 6X mark-up. Repair was adequate however, and AC is working ok.

Kenny was very professional and right on time. I think they did a great job and he was a nice guy. He was also very informative. They have specials and that's why I called them, it was a good price!

We have used them for the past 50 years, they are always wonderful.

Installers arrived a little late but did an excellent job. The older chimney also serviced our fireplace and the heating flue was at an angle. Due to the angle of the flue, cement and debris had accumulated half way up the chimney. The installers had to create a larger hole in order to clean the flue and install the new lining. They installed all new venting ducts for the furnace and hot water heater, cleaned up all debris and were very professional in their work and provided detailed explanations of what they would do.

I called AJ Perri to evaluate my hot water heater. It was pretty much dead so they quoted 3 options with different warranty options. The prices ranged from a low of $3200 to a high of $4200 depending on the warranty period. I told them this was way more than I anticipated and I would have to think about it. A quick check online indicated I could purchase a comparable quality 50 gallon hot water heater for $1000. They went to the van and "talked with the boss". If I had it repaired while they were here they would drop the price to $2500. I elected not to have them do the installation and found someone who did a professional job at a price of $1900. No games. I have used AJ Perri once and rated them an A. However, this tactic results in a score of F and I will never call them again. They were going to take advantage of someone who was in a tight fix with a bunch of dirty and grumpy out-of-town guests. Shame on AJ Perri.

WELL, it seems AJ Perri is living in the 20th century, not the 21st. They INSIST my husband MUST be there for the sales rep to come to my house. WHAT??? Would they insist a male client's WIFE be present? I bet they would not. It so happens I came into an inheritance, and I am using some of it for house upgrades. While I consult with my husband, he is busy, works 6 days a week, and is content with me just showing him the options available myself. AJPerri repsonse: NOT ACCEPTABLE! They have a policy, and they are sticking to it. What is this, a timeshare presentation, that we both must be present? I am frustrated because I liked the repair man very much, and was looking forward to working with AJPerri on a new heating/AV system. Now I have to look at other companies for this work, because of some stupid rule.

I am writing this before the job is finally completed, but they are coming tomorrow again after their twelve hour stint today, and I have water tonight after six days without it - very glad indeed to have it! It was easy to liaise with Perri, their contract man was friendly, helpful, and available to answer queries, and I expect the final leg of this huge job to be unproblematic. I can also recommend their office staff.

We spent maybe a $100 on that service. We have used them before and they really seem pretty honest and thorough. They do not tend to oversell things and it was a surprise for us that they told us the furnace we had was pretty good. We think that they are pretty upfront and honey. We are going to use them again to clean out the ducts pretty soon.

Their price was right in line with everyone elses and there service was great. Guy was at my house for several hours. He was clean and very well mannored. i would use them again.

They were fine. They were on time, they cleaned up after themselves, and they did a great job.

AJ Perri, Inc. does very good work and we will continue to use him. The pricing is fair, they are prompt, very reliable, and they definitely know what they are doing. When they run into any problems they are sure to contact the right people for the right answer. They do things right, and consider them extremely reliable. They are reasonable with their scheduling, but would be very responsive for an emergency situation.

We first contacted AJ Perri in March. At that time we had a clogged bathroom drain as well as a leaking toilet. We had first contacted another plumber who came highly recommended by friends and who had a score of all A's on Angie's List. This man never showed and never called to explain why. So we checked Angie's List and saw that AJ Perri had great reports. It was late in the afternoon by this point and the young woman who answered the phone apologized that the earliest someone could come would be 8:00 PM. We decided to wait until the morning when she said someone could come in the morning. First thing the next morning Justin came, gave us his card which had his picture on it. put coverings on his shoes and went right to work. He cleared the clogged quickly and then replaced the parts in the toilet. A few hours later we noticed that the toilet was still leaking and called AJ Perri. The young woman could not apologize enough and said someone would be there shortly. Justin came back, apologized and fixed the toilet. It now runs better and fills more quickly than it ever had! Today we scheduled a Spring tune up for our central A/C. A very nice technician named Bily came at the scheduled time and did a complete and thorough check of our system. When he was done, he explained that since we had the service done today, if we paid now for the A/C service and for our furnace to be checked in the fall, the checkup for our A/C next spring would be free. He applied a $25.00 coupon we had received in March so the three services will only cost us $160! Much better than the $169 we paid a contractor last September just to check our furnace! We will continue to use AJ Perri and will tell all our family and friends to do likewise. Do not hesitate to use them!. This is one terrific company!

It was a tough job. Their service was very good. They advertised a $99 special for any drain cleaning. It took them a lot longer than anticipated to finish the work, but I still got charged the same price. There was no cleanup done. The price was good and satisfactory. I see a truck with an AJ Perri label everyday.

Not only did everything go smoothly, they went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with our service. Our son's room was always cool in the winter and hot in the summer. They took the time to explain a new system that would help that. We were skeptical at first, but his room is just as warm and comfortable as every other room in our house now. Also, they came back to make one minor adjustment to the system without any hassle. There was a slight vibrating noise coming from the exhaust, They showed up almost immediately to take care of it, as promised. Most companies don't respond that quick AFTER they have your money. They truly live up to the great reputation they have on here.

It went very well. It was a positive experience. I would recommend that company to others also.

AJ Perri Inc. never called us back for the heater and I was extremely unsatisfied with them. They simply never follow up whenever I contact them for a job.
