The Technician Larry arrived early for the appointment and diagnosed 1 problem. The problem was caused by an improperly installed wax ring on the toilet. Then I told him we were still having a leak. He tracked the problem into the wall. He repaired the leaked and double checked for any other dripping water. Larry showed me what he had done to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone experiencing plumbing problems

I called them Saturday morning with no hot water. Because of JCPL outages, I wanted to convert to gas hot water for the replacement. They came within 2 hours, gave me an estimate, and I was pleased when they said they would do the job the next day (Sunday). The job was supposed to be done by two men, the plumber to extend the gas line from our gas furnace, and a tech to install the water heater when the gas line was finished. The plumber showed up as promised on Sunday, and fir said that he needed to get a permit through the town to do the work, because it was a new gas line. He said could take several days or longer. Then he called his boss, who told him that he could proceed because we had no hot water, and it was an emergency. He called the parts office for needed parts, which they couldn't get until Monday morning. He left, and said that a plumber would be back on Monday morning. No one came, so I called AJ Perri at 11:30 am. I was told that the earliest Plummer appointment I could have was between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. I was told that I would have to wait for the plumber to finish, and then I could.schedule.another appointment for a tech to install the water heater. It had already been 3 days with no hot water. At that point I told AJ Petri to forget it, and call plumber "Keith Walsh" in Manasquan. His crew came within an hour, gave an estimate for 30% less, and began work immediately. Keith Walsh Plumbing did great job. I will never call AJ Petri again.

Arrived late due to previous customer problem (we were notified that he was running late) No issue with quality of work but work is pilled per task and each task had a value and different people to do different plumbing related things. He suggested and replaced an overflow tank on furnace. He suggested several other things (tasks) that he could not do but another person could. This felt like nickel dining me and that each visit would evolve into another "task" costing another fee etc. I want a plumber who does it all not one who is only allowed to do certain things. Plius the fee was so high that we felt taken advantage of.

We had an Angie's List coupon. The initial phone contact was very professional, and although the serviceman was substantially delayed, we were regularly updated on Daniel's arrival. Then he arrived and things got interesting.The capstone performance was Daniel's threat to incapacitate our furnace due to his measuring excessive carbon monoxide levels (>3000 ppm). We avoided this shutdown by promising to schedule a furnace replacement (and by threatening to bring my own carbon monoxide monitor from my research lab). Apparently Daniel only measures the carbon monoxide levels in the furnace flue, so draw your own conclusions. In any event Daniel left us with plenty of recycling material. We immediately canceled the furnace replacement appointment, having wasted enough time with the high pressure sales tactics. AJ Perri used to be known for quality service, now the company has parasitic subcontractors looking for $$ from their routine service visits. Avoid. And don't buy into the tired and trite "Mercedes versus Hyundai" comparison that the company makes.

Very pleased. I had thought that we had a leak in the heating system as we seemed to be losing water. They were able to send someone out to check my furnace within a day. The tech explained what he was doing and said that he found no problems and that the water pressure was good. He didn't try to sell me unneeded repairs and was fast and professional.

Refused to provide an estimate unless my wife was avaiable for with me at home for 1.5 hour appointment. Explained wife was an ER doctor and not available. They said I was not the type of client they wanted.

My sump pump was not pumping, so I thought I just needed a new one. The technician replaced it quickly, but that was not the entire problem. The outside line was totally frozen. He finally got it thawed and all is well. I was a little surprised at the cost of the job.

Our thermostats weren't working. He quickly identified that the problem was in the thermostats, not the wiring or furnace, and replaced them. He basically charged us for the cost of the thermostats, and waived the $89 fee for coming to the house.

I've never had a complaint about their work or their people. I think they are great. I will say that they are a little more expensive than some of the other plumbers, but for me, just being able to call somebody that I know will do the job right the first time is well worth it. They do 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. An example was Storm Sandy. Anyone who lived close to the water was flooded, no electricity, no nothing. One day before Sandy hit, the motor went out in my furnace. They were going to take care of it then Sandy hit. In my house, I lost all the electricity. As everybody came back up on line, their need was to get to other people who had bigger problems than I did. When my electricity came back on, without me asking them, they came over to my house with 5 brand new space heaters to make sure I wouldn't be too cold. After they changed out the motor, they came and picked up the heaters. This was only delayed by a day and a half. That made me a true believer.

Cleaned furnace and adjusted thermostat. Left switches on . Had to call back. One thermostat not Right. |Put in new sump pump years ago. Aok but expensive!

Their services was pretty good. We've used them for a couple of things. They always come right out and we never had any problems.

Very on time, installed on the same day as the day arrived to provide a quote for the heater. Installation was relatively quick. However the cleanup was not quite good with few stains and metal pieces left behind. Also an item in the basement (not significant value) was broken and we were not informed of it. However overall, I was happy with the installation.

Minor problems after installation but company has been very responsive at repairs.

I am impressed with the work that they did. Everything was good. The prices are little high, but it is worth it. They did have to come back out and redo something, but they came right back out, no charge. I would use them again in the future.

They were called in to repair leak in pipe between walls. Took 3 visits--8 days to finally repair. 1st visit-- repaired both hot & cold risers that repairman "thought" was the problem, also put 2 shut off valves in for us in crawl space. Very nice, professional guy. Charge-$503. Insurance man inspects damage 6 days later, crawl space still wet, we remove some insulation and water just poured down on us. Second trip-- guy came and before he would look at anthing, he wanted me to sign another estimate for services, no way was I paying more money. He couldn't fix the problem, vent drain pipe, as he didn't have the parts. 2 different guys come next day and also wanted more money. Problem finally fixed.

The work turned out to be really well. The guy talked us through performing another service and it was fine. We paid extra $70 for the plumbing work. He was professional and he did a really good job. He did the work pretty quickly too. He seemed to be a nice guy. We didn't have too many of dislikes.

I called Gilson and Sons because of heat not working. They were friendly, and tech was here in 1/2 hour. He was knowledgeable and fixed the problem immediately. The price quoted was the price paid. No hidden fees. I would use them again.

When I called them to set up appt. I told them what filter to bring with him, but when he arrived he didn't have one. They needed to make another appt to install the filter.

I have a service contract with them. They come in the fall to check the furnace and in the spring to check the air conditioner. They are very professional. The technicians are knowledgeable. They are kind of pricey but they are good.

I received a call 30 mins before the tech arrived and he arrived 5 mins early, which was fine by me. He was very professional. He put on some sort of booties so not to track snow and salt into house. Took about an hour to do both units. He sat down with me when done to explain the results of his tests, which gave me comfort that things were running as they should be. He also then told me about their annual maintenance plan. It was reasonably priced so I went with it as I know I need to get my A/C units checked anyways, so I went with it. Just like a car, I believe in proper maintenance makes things last. Now that it has been inspected on the furnace units, I feel a lot better and that can be priceless.

It was fine. Some of the communication back and forth was difficult. The emailed us through Angie's List, but I emailed them back my phone number and I never heard from them so I had to call them. Some of their other services seemed priced too high.
