Anthony and Billy were great. They arrived earlier than expected and found my problem immediatley. The explained my options and replaced my sump pump. They also did an inspection and found two other concerns that they explained to me I would highly recommend this company and these two guys. .

The tech, Ron, carefully looked over the situation and advised I need two other services, instead of the $89 drain cleaning So, I authorized Ron to do that work, if possible. He said 'no problem' and happily completed all of the needed work: Ron installed a Dishwasher Trap and 1 1/2" Trap. His professionalism, knowledge of his craft and an excellent "people person" made this a top shelf, A+ service. I've used AJ Perri in the past and will continue to use them in the future. Thank you!

My air conditioner was not cooling the house well and I called AJ Perri to perform a tune up on my central air unit. The lady who made the appointment was very helpful. The techician, Nick, was extremely knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with. He explained everything to me very thoroughly, each part for my ac unit and how to make the unit work more efficiently. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need which was a relief. After inspecting everything, changing my filter, and adding coolant, he was done and everything worked so much better. The price was great and he was even better. Great experience with AJ Perri!!

AJ Perri sent Mr. Josh Thompson who tried hard to "recomend" us additional work (change the shut-off valves). He wanted to scare us that a leak may take place after the job is completed and that he would not be responsible. I had to tell him that there is no leak now and therefore no leak can take place right after. However, the sink drainage started to leak when there was no leak before. This is the second time that I have a similar experience with this company. After the plumber arrives, the sink drainage bolt gets loose magically. This is always fallowed by an attemp to sell you additional services. I'm somewhat handy and both times I knew there was no leak at the sink drain before. I have used AJ Perri for other services and I think this unethical behaviour is only with their plumbing department, as I have not had similar issues with heating or AC services. If you are going to use this company, or any other plumber, I suggest you make sure other connections are not leaking and tell this to the plumber before he/she starts to work. You only need to use your hand for this.

The tech Ron was very knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional. His work was extremely thorough.

Technician arrived promptly and after brief discussion of the problem the drain was cleared in a short period of time. He was very neat and professional and wore rubber covers over his shoes. Gave advice on preventing future clogs and recommendations on high rated toilets to purchase as a replacement.

A.J. Perri saved the day. We were expecting 45 people to my home with a 85 degree weather forecast ! The air conditioning went down. I feared a huge repair bill. I was delighted to get an immediate appointment with A.J. Perri, Inc. and the repair was diagnosed and completed within a couple of hours of the call. I was provided immediate scheduling. He was professional and knowledgeable. The price was fair and I was able to get on with my guests and relax. Wonderful service.

They were good The only complaint I had about them was, my mother in law set up the appointment and they said it was going to be $350 and then when they came they said you have two it's going to be twice the amount. We had to talk to them to see if we could get a deal because that's a lot of money. I talked to his manager and he was able to get it for $600. That was good that they were able to do that. I thought it was very expensive in the beginning. It looks like it's clean and it looks like they did a good job. They were there for most of the day so I guess that means they were doing a good job. It seemed like they did a good job, they also seemed a little expensive. It seems that there are other companies that are cheaper.

Very professional. Timely. Checked the unit and thermostat. Very happy we had them install our central AC and new furnace.

Their service is excellent and they are highly trained. But what they charge is beyond an outrage. They charge a very high price for all of their repairs and parts, almost 5-10X more than the parts actually cost. Many times it is a quick fix and cheap part, but it cost me hundreds of dollars. It has happened several times. I dont mind somebody a fair price, but their prices are most unfair, I just cannot trust them. They also advertise free estimates, but they charge a travel charge of $95 (in very small print) which is somewhat misleading. The are very nice people, and they do good work. But the prices or the most unfair prices I have experienced and do not plan on using them in the future.

It was a bad experience. The guy will come and do nothing. I found out later when another technician from another company pointed out that he didn’t do any of the items on the checklist. I hear him clean the furnace like he was supposed to. My before my furnace broke, they came out and the guy couldn’t believe that another technician do a service on my furnace just 2 weeks before because it was filthy. He didn’t change anything, there was nothing he did. He hooked up a machine and that was all he did. I would never use them again. I had a couple estimates done when my furnace broke and they were about $3,000-4,000 higher than anybody else.

I thought they were high priced, but the work was very good. They were good and very consistent. They provide good service.

Technician was thorough and on time. My only issue with AJ Perri is their price. I had a new furnace and A/C unit installed a few years ago and realized later that I had paid way too much. However, they did a great job with installation and handled the permit paperwork for me.

Update - After writing this review, AJ Perri contacted me and sent in another contractor to fix the work. That was nice of them. So I changed my rating from C to B. I am still not comfortable giving them an A because of the initial goof up. Also the work for the price they charge does not warrant me to give them an A. The plumber came in and told us that the only thing they can do is replace the existing Faucet with a new one. We were Ok with it, though it was very expensive, since we wanted the work to be done soon. He mentioned that there is nothing to be worried since all he will do is replace the existing two control system with a huge baseplate. He mentioned that there will be no need to replace any tiles etc. Within 10 minutes of him starting the work, some files fell down and he called me in and told me that there is a wooden wall behind instead of a dry wall and that surrounding tiles fell down. He said that they do not put the tiles back. By then he had already started the work and me asking him to stop the work would not have put the tiles back. So asked him to finish the job. He worked hard, but at the end we have a bathroom with so many tiles which fell off and I have to call another tiles person to fix those. I am thoroughly disappointed because when they have been doing this work since years, don't they know how to put back the tiles. Now my bathroom is unusable till I call another professional and another set of hundreds of dollars. For the price, we paid we expected complete work. If unforeseen things come up during their work, it is their responsibility to fix those and not leave us in a lurch.

We contracted A. J. Perri because we couldn't find a heating/cooling person so we figured we'd give them a shot. Every time they came here they found something wrong with our heater (even when there was nothing wrong). We caught on when we handed them too many checks and they told us our air conditioning wouldn't last the summer (that was 2012), it's still working and working very well. I wonder what they did when they came here. & air conditioning (depends on what season we are in). They told us the numbers in our anti freeze was bad. We found out they shouldn't have taken those numbers yet as it was cold outside. They never did anything the right way. We had 3 other air conditioning/heating persons here and they all said the exact same thing....the central air conditioning is fine and the only thing that's wrong with it is that it's getting up there in age (it's 10 yrs old). A. J. Perri also blew up a house in Old Bridge where my son lives. I can honestly say they are the BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER. Stay clear of them, they will just take and take your money.

They never responded to my request. So I am requesting a refund.

I bought an Angie's deal for $89 for a drain cleaning. The deal said someone would contact me regarding scheduling within 2 days. On the first day, someone emailed me asking for a phone number to make the appointment. However 2 days passed and no one called so I called them to make an appointment. They were able to send someone out the same day I called. The customer service rep gave me a 2 hour window, 7pm-9pm. The technician arrived at 9:30pm. I did however receive a call from AJ Perri at 8:30 saying the technician was on their way from another job which was about an hour away. Overall the technician cleared my drain and honored my coupon.

Called for emergency service around noon and they gave me a same day 630pm appointment. Office called us around 2pm to say plumber would be there in 30 min or less. Thrilled with the responsiveness. Rodney arrived and quickly assessed the problem. Both faucet/bib and shut off valve needed replacement. Price was a little high but not unreasonable and this was an emergency with water flowing out of our outside faucet. Work completed quickly and professionally. He even honored an expired coupon to take cost down a bit providing a 2 year warranty as well. Overall a very good experience and would use them again in an emergency without question.

I have had A.J. Perri doing seasonal maintenance on my now six year old furnace and air conditioning systems for at least the last four years. Their technicians have always been prompt, neat and efficient. | |The only concern that I have is that they may be over eager to recommend parts replacement. I say this because it has been recommended to me for two years running that I replace a $600 pump on my furnace that was showing signs of "imminent failure". As I subscribe to PSE&G Worry Free service, I declined the expensive repair and opted to risk actual failure. Since the first warning, the pump has performed just fine through two very harsh winters. I may just have been lucky but I am a bit wary.

Quickly solved the problem. Reviewed plumbing and made recommendations for future service.

I used the $89 coupon offered through Angie's List for unclogging a single drain. The appointment was scheduled quickly and the plumber showed up right on time for the appointment. He was courteous and professional and got the job done quickly. He also stayed until he was sure the problem was fixed. The pre-paid voucher was accepted and no other charges were assessed. Overall I'm very happy with the work that was done and I would use them again.

A technician from AJ Perri came out to repair our gas furnace. The technician said our furnace was not repairable and quoted us a new furnace for over $5,000. I subsequently call Arnold's Plumbing and Heating in West Long Branch. Arnold's repaired the furnace for a couple of hundred dollars. I felt like AJ Perri was trying to take advantage of us to sell a new heater. I called and complained to the office and they refunded the money I had spent for the service call.

Not well as for as pricing goes, they were the worse. The work was fair for what they did, but they charged us over $400. just to repair one toilet. I will not use them again and to be frank with you ever time I use someone from your list I have a problem. When i call AJ Perri about the price they said because they are a 24hrs service there prices are higher than local plumber. They were going to charge us another $500. to repair 2 other bathrooms (which only had leaking faults) but I cancel the balance of the order. This small job was going to cost over $900. which I think out of line for the work they were going to do. I will not use them again.
