Description of Work: serviced air conditioner, have had service contract with them for 12 years on air coditoner an furnace, since moving into this house. They had replaced furnace and air conditioner. They came when called promptly when the old furnace was going, repaired when they could and replaced when it was needed.

Description of Work: Gilson and Sons installed a central air conditioner at my home - condenser and blower. They did a great job. Showed up on time, finished early and the crew was experienced and professional. Worked very cleanly too.

Description of Work: A new high efficiency hot water heating system and water heater. The one issue I had was that the person who did the estimate said they (AJ Perri) would be installing a chimney liner so that the new furnace could vent in chimney. After furnace was installed I noticed they vented thru the basement wall. Now I did not notice this immediately... I was happy to have heat! Several days later I called and asked about it. Surely it was cheaper to run p vc thru a wall then to run a chimney liner... the manager I spoke to about this was rude and basically said the cost was the same. So make sure what they put I. Writing is what you are getting. However the workers who did the work were professional and courteous.

Description of Work: They performed a maintenance on ac unit and I was told that a high expensive repair was needed because it wasn't working. Second opinion determined that the was not the case and unit function was restored same day.

Description of Work: Gilson and Sons will be installing a central a/c in my 100 year old house. I have a very challenging house and the sales rep came out twice - once by himself, another time with the installation manager prior to my signing the contract to make sure that his estimations were on target. This is comforting to me because I know that there will be no hidden surprises once the work begins in two weeks. As of now, I am 100% satisfied with the work to date. Description of Work: This day they provided several services: whole house air duct and dryer vent cleaning; and HVAC A/C maintenance. I've used AJ Perri for many different home repairs and maintenance services. They have replaced a toilet bowl and water supply line; replaced my entire HVAC system; cleaned ducts and dryer vent; and I renew my HVAC maintenance contract with them every year because it's totally worth the cost. They are more expensive than other providers in my area but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for and I think this company is terrific. Seriously - I see no reason to use anyone else unless I require a service that AJ Perri does not provide. Give them a try!

Description of Work: My oil burner furnace did not start last December as it was out of fuel. Perry was able to get it started, but had to return for additional problems. We had the furnace evaluated for efficiency by Perry and decided to replace it with oil again, since it was so cost effective. Their folks were quite experienced and helpful. Also clean, neat and orderly.

Description of Work: I called for information on manufacturing warranty on my Yukon Denali and they gave me all the info that I requested and was very nice.

Both times I told them that occcasionally the furnace would not go on or reach the thermostat temperature before turning off. The third time they checked it the tech told me I needed a new exhaust motor at about $800. He said he would order on a rush basis. He never got back to me so I called another outfit. | | |

Description of Work: I used AJ Perri to have a toilet repaired and of course they recommended replacement. After the entire toilet was replaced with a $400 Kohler (also their recommendation), it still didn't work...turned out there was some solder stuck in the line! So it wasn't a toilet issue at all - it was a line issue...$800 later! (I will say the plumber was very kind and hard-working - the only good reflection on the company - too bad he doesn't work there anymore!) And the slow-close toilet broke less than a year later so I called for a replacement. They said they would have the parts department contact me because it was a special order...never heard from them. Contacted them 4 months later, they said parts would call me back and they didn't, again! I finally get a call 2 days later saying they'd like to schedule an appointment. Well, that's not very responsive or professional in my opinion.

Description of Work: AC technician showed up within the 4hr window of time specified. Went down in basement to check filters ect. Spent most of his time outside on the compressor unit checking coolant levels and basic functioning of the unit. It was nice that the tech Informed us ahead of time if the unit were to need coolant added it would come at a certain cost per gallon. Overall a good experience. We signed up for a 1yr service contract with them as well for an added $20 above the $87 special they were running. so next year we'll have them back again around this time and will be covered. Will come out to approx $50 for the 2 visits once all said and done.
