They said we cannot give you an estimate on replacing your water main until we open it up and start adding things to the estimate as we see that is needed.

Went well but had to make 2 separate appts for the work. First individual was to look at the unit for its 6 month tune up. When he found that the AC/heat pump had problems he need to re-schedule with the warranty professional. Accordingly, I need to take 2 mornings out of the week for the work. the warranty guy said he would be 3 hours. I had to leave and asked him to lock up for me

Not well at all. After work was done continued to have back ups. They said it had to be in road. Township came out with camera. Ah Perri never replaced the 6 foot section from the house under the porch nor did they replace line under sidewalk to road and it was collapsed there. My contract specifically said from house to road.

Job took >20 minutes and costs $175.00. Enough said!

After that, we had them for maintenance and stuff. They've done some other major plumbing, but we've also had them out for electrical. They have another group for electrical. So we've had them out for both. They're professional, they're kind, they listen to what you have to say, which helps them do their job actually. They're on time, they do a good job.

sink was back up clogged after 2 day, they came back without charging.

They did fine I have no problems with the heat pump, it was just a little pricey.

RIPPED OFF & STILL HAVING PROBLEMS 3 YEARS LATER

I called A.J. Perri to come out and service my 16 year old Lennox gas furnace. The repairmen they sent was a bit messed up and quite disheveled looking. He said he had been working as an AC/Heating repair guy for 30 years, but he didn’t seem to know what he was doing. When he had the furnace open he didn’t to know where certain components were nor did he do any type of trouble shooting or try to diagnose the problem. He immediately indicated that either the entire ignition system (@$200) or the ignition panel (@$600-800) were broken. Then he says he will have his parts department order parts for me and get back to that same evening. He then tried to hard sell me to get an entirely new system, saying it was a waste of money to try to fix this thing. The A.J. Perri parts department never called me back that same evening. I tried calling several times early this morning and they were unable to tell me about the parts. I called another AC/Heating repair company and their repairman was very systematic and able to diagnose the problem in 5 minutes. He thoroughly cleaned the key parts of the furnace ignition system and got it started in no time at all. The A.J. Perri repairmen made no attempt to look at all of the various small components of the ignition system to see if any dust was blocking or if any of the smaller sensors were broken. In addition, the A.J. Perri repairmen reeked of cigarette smoke so much that my house smelled for several hours afterwards. Seems like A.J. Perri does not have properly trained repairmen nor do they train their employees to be presentable to customers.

The projects went very well and that was back in 2014. I have had no other problems since then.

No problems encountered. All workers were professional and friendly.

Everything went very well. The company gave a 2 hour window, but actually showed up early. They helped me realize that the clog wasn't directly my fault. They called the township for me to have them come out and then were able to send a camera in the pipe. They recommended a blasting that was $650. They then showed me the pipes after the blasting and they looked nearly brand new. Dominic, Ken, and Geno were excellent workers. They were very professional. Aj Perri did not try to upsell or overcharge me. I felt they were very cooperative, inclusive, and gave me choices instead of just doing work without my say so. The blasting they recommended actually ended up saving me a lot of money in the long run. I would definitely feel comfortable hiring them again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needed plumbing work.

Shortly after service was done, it needed additional service. We went somewhere else. AJ Perri suggested we purchase a more expensive plan that would cover more. I didn't feel confident in their abilities, and let the contract run out. Would not recommend.

Next day, guy shows up as expected. Looks into the furnace and declares i need an ignitor and a flame sensor. He checks the truck and has the parts. He opens up this impressively professional looseleaf book and it has all the Lennox and others furnace parts. Shows me the picture of the two parts and the price is $343 each for both. $686 & tax including the installation and the service call. My jaw dropped. The parts in the book looked like they should cost $75 if a company wanted to make a huge markup. $25-50 would have been fair. Add to that say $150 for a service call and the cost should have been no more than $300. I said wow that is some amazing markup. i pointed out that i cannot see how this part could cost that much even with a 100% markup. He gave me some company pablum about service, warranty and blah blah blah. He said since was buying both parts he would do the job for $550. A $130 savings. He asked if i wanted to not go forward. I told him sure, go ahead. (I just want my friggen heat) So he is doing the install and I go online. A Lennox parts supplier had a photo of each part and the identical part number that was on the part. Each part can be purchased on the internet for under $12.00 each, OEM. So for $24.00 in parts they wanted $686 and then $550 installed When he was done, i showed him my computer monitor where the parts were $12 each. He shrugged, what can he do anyhow? Finally he writes up the invoice and he said since it took so little time he is charging $340.00. Now i didn't argue or berate the guy. I didn't call him a crook. I treated him in a very gentlemanly manner as i do all vendors who come to my house. He was a nice and decent and knowledgeable guy. But just by pointing out the absurdity of the prices, i ended up at half what he wanted. So, everything is negotiable and i didn't really negotiate. I would have to think long and hard about using AJP again. That price book of theirs is a bit obscene. Satsified with the work, satisfied with the mechanic.

Service-wise, they're very good. They're fine. They come right out. There's no question about it. They're very professional. The only problem I have is the cost. Everything was great except that I thought that was a little expensive. If I had an emergency and I couldn't wait, I would use them again. If I had an issue where I could wait, I think I would go look around and select someone that's not as pricey.

It has never stayed still when you want to go from sink to sink with the moveable head. The work took less than twenty minutes and we were charged $300.00. Highway robbery.

On Saturday before Thanksgiving, they scheduled with us for work to begin the day after Thanksgiving. We were concerned about the short timeframe from a permitting and inspection perspetive, but the salesperson assured us they'd be able to get needed permits in time. Company did not request permit until end of day Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and then blamed Bloomfield for taking too long to supply permit, and for not being able to schedule the inspection immediately. The job did not go completely as spec'd by salesperson. They were not able to do pipe burst completely from toilet, because line ran under stairs, and they were afraid would burst through thin cement floor and damage stairs. So did pipe burst from exterior wall of house, and broke up concrete to reroute line from toilet. This added two turns to the pipe, making it longer, and the slope potentially more shallow. In retrospect, I would have gone with original plan and risked having to fix the stairs. They did not charge any more for the additional work required. They persuaded Bloomfield to approve inspection via photos (not ideal from a consumer protection standpoint). For the dig outside to the sewer, they subcontracted the cement finish work. Due to freezing weather, this outside cement work in the driveway was not completed until the spring. But they did not contact us proactively about this. They did not warn of this as a timing risk. And we had to follow up with them, and they deferred all responsibility for that work and followup to the subcontractor. Typical issues, unfortunately: Salesperson paints rosy picture, reality is something else. Subcontracted work not communicated about clearly. The people doing the work seemed to do a good job. But danger of working with a larger company like this is that the people specing the work are not the people doing the work, and so there is a disconnect.

Excellent plumber, who fixed the problem

Every time they came to check out the unit they always found something wrong, sometimes it was minor and sometimes it was major. I found out afterward that other people had the same difficulty. The reason for this issues is because they work on commission, that should not be allowed! The people who come should give you an independent assessment, but they were almost pressured to find something wrong so that they could make money. I would give them a Z rating if I could! I looked over the service history and I found that we were making repairs which we weren't even convinced we needed!

Very quick. Very professional. Honored the discount coupon from Angie's List. Both drains were cleared for $89 each.

Came in and used a plumbing snake to clear out debris along the pipes. Took about an hour to clean and make sure the drain works well.

I love them. They're very expensive but they took care of stuff. I have one fantastic experience with them and I have one horrendous experience with them. I called them and I said I would never use them again. The first time I used them they were fantastic. The guy was a liar and a cheat. We had a pipe that went from the house to the street that burst. He quoted me a price of $20,000 something. It was supposedly with a great discount but it would only hold if I sign that night. He would not give me a copy of it. I said get out of here. I Paid another company $11,000 as supposed to $25,000 they wanted. Never use them.
