Description of Work: I have used them for replacement of two HVAC systems in my house and then maintenance afterwards. Initially, I found them to be responsive but when work needed to be done on the systems, their service technicians always found something expensive that needed to be replaced...at my expense, of course. After several of these experiences, I called in another HVAC company who told me that the parts AJ Perri replaced should never have failed in a new system. Their conclusion: either the premium systems that AJ Perri sold me were junk and not high end as the salesman said or, more disturbingly, I was being fleeced by the service technicians. Either way, I would not do business with that company again. I do not trust them.

Description of Work: New heating system in upper floor zone. They do lots of work for me and I find them very reliable and knowledgeable, although a bit pricey. But one gets what one pays for, and in Perri's case, they are well worth it.

Description of Work: Unclog the toilet. a bowl cleaner accidentally fell in. They had difficulty getting it out and tried to gauge me on the price of a new toilet. They eventually used a pump and was able to dislodge the cleaner.

Description of Work: A.J.Perri is one of the MOST professional companies I know. You will pay more, but there is a saying. Price, Service, Quality, you can only have 2 out of 3, so choose wisely (if you think that you can have all three then you are living in a completely different reality system). I felt like I made a good choice when they replaced my HVAC system a few years ago. Now they installed my water heater and it could not have gone smoother.

Description of Work: They replaced a broken hot water heater and replaced all attached pipes, also fixed a pipe that was leaking.

Description of Work: After over 20 years in my house, I finally needed to have my sump pump replaced (it wouldn't stop running). I had gotten an estimate for the work over the phone from another local reputable plumber, but AJ Perri wanted to come to the house to provide an estimate. I explained that this was a very straight forward job (nothing out of the ordinary), but they insisted on coming to the house. | |The plumber showed up on-time, and spent about 30 seconds looking at what needed to be done to replace the sump pump. They went back out to their truck for a couple of minutes, and returned with a written quote for the work... $800. They assured me this was a very competitive price, and I wouldn't find it for less elsewhere. When I told them that I had gotten a verbal quote of only $600, they told me that the $800 was very good, and they couldn't do better. I told the plumber to "have a nice day", and showed him the door. | |Not 30 seconds later, there was a knock on the door. It was the plumber from AJ Perri. They said that if I agreed to have the work done right then and there (which was my plan all along), his manager said that they would match the $600 price. Amazing how they were confidently pressuring me to spend $800, but then quickly dropped the price by $200 (that's 25%!). I confirmed that they would be supplying the same pump and the same service as they would have at $800. | |The work appears to have been done properly, and we haven't had any problems with the sump pump since it was installed. | |Moral of the story... don't let someone pressure you into taking their first offer, especially without getting at least one additional competitive quote.

Description of Work: This company cleared a clogged second floor bathtub drain. The employee completed the job successfully and the drain is working well. However, the plumber offered to inspect the sewer main but when I told him it was under the front porch he decided not to. I complained to the company and they were very receptive to my complaint. They offered to send another plumber to complete the inspection , but I declined . So, they sent me a coupon for $25 off my next service with the company. I like the way they responded to my complaint. I would use the company again.
