AJ Perri

AJ Perri technician arrived punctually same day of my service call, and after hours, even though this was not an emergency. Technician was well equipped and knowledgeable. Replacement of expansion tank (~$70 part cost) took less than 10 minutes and fixed the problem. AJ Perri charged $550 for the service. I called the main office to protest the excessive charges, and received a $100 refund check. At their outrageous repair service rates, I can't afford to hire them again.

The plumber arrived on time and was very professional and stopped the faucet from leaking. Compared to what my brother paid for similar work in Connecticut, the price AJ Perri charged was very high. The price was the reason I said that I doubted I would use AJ Perri again. If I had been given a chance to pick something in-between "yes" and "no" I probably would have picked "not likely."

Well - did on time and has worked well

I think they're excellent. I've had excellent experiences with them. I've never had a problem with them. They show up on time. They do a good job. I'm very happy. Price-wise, they're probably midrange. They may actually be a little bit on a high end. Quality is excellent. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Fraudulent company. Claimed to be a master plumber when the webiste lists him as a salesman. Claimed they were the only company that could obtain a permit in Red Bank. Said that a chimney liner was required to bring up to code, which was false. Ended up using a different company to replace the boiler at literally half the cost that AJ Perri wanted to charge.

Great! A wonderful team. I can count on their honesty on service needed.

The people that call you on the phone are really helpful with scheduling and with finding out if you need anything additional before they schedule to be coming out for maintenance so they got the right person out there.

Plumber broke pvc pipe in wall when using a snake. Then offered to do the repair work No thanks.

We use them for yearly maintenance.

The trap and pipe to the sink was so old, corroded and rusted firmly in place. They cleanly cut the sections out, replaced the drain pipe and refitted everything perfectly. The work area was cleaned up completely after they finished the work.

Poor quality service. Bib broke again next year and leaked continuously

Experienced good operation of ac system during summer months. Also works well during winter months to help keep desired room temperature. One unit in living room had not been cooling as well as 2/3 years before. He added a small amount of coolant and it satisfactory.

Arrived on time. Very neat, Got the job done very quickly and professionally.

They have been nothing but fair and really good to us. They were so good, we had to call them and they came right away, they gave us a fair estimate, they showed us all the rebates that we needed, they explained the different options that were available, made sure that everything was sized correctly to enter the house so yeah it was great. It was an expensive purchase but I thought it was fair, it's not cheap.

Every time they come here it's no fuss no must. They've turned us away from work also you know like we needed to replace our inner rod in our hot water heater, they told us how to do it over the phone and said that it wouldn't worth them coming out there it was easy enough for us to do it ourselves, which surprised me. It's high quality work at a fair price. It was quick, they know what to do, they had the parts and they got it done.

It was good. They explained everything and did thorough work. They were available for follow-up.

No problems, but since I provided the hardware I thought it was a bit pricey, especially for a senior citizen.

Could schedule same day, came out within a couple of hours. Fixed the problem and was professional. Without the Angie's list vouched would have been twice the price so not sure about the value without the voucher but reliable company.

Our old A/C and heating system did not need to have annual maintenance every year. At most there were 3 times to refill the coolant in 27 years, and at most 3 times to check the heating system. Annual check up A/Cs cost money and cause lots dust in the walk-in closet. Annual check up the heating system also cost money. The 4 years old heating system needed to replace 4 different parts in September, 2016. The heating was broken down in mid of December, 2016. It broken down again from 12/26/16 to 12/30/16. Delivering parts is a challenge to A L Perri, according to my experience in September, 2016 and December, 2016. My conclusion: The warehouse management needs to be improved; Some technician might need to be well-trained again; Are 4 years old parts too old? Why need to replace so many parts in 4 years? Can I go to vocation during winter time and without worrying about any frozen pipes in the house? The engineer design is stupid; the manufacturing parts is cheap; My previous heating made the living room the warmest room, now the living room is the coldest room in the whole house. My guess: the previous A/C and heating were so durable that no maintenance and parts replacements were needed, this leads to less job were created and less profits for the manufacturer. I thought CARRIER was a leading brand name before; I was impressed by the long history of A J Perri in the service business before.

They know what they are doing! Never a problem.

He was more of a pre-sales guy. Didn't know what was going on. Didn't know how to fix the heater. Made wrong recommendations.

A service technician Alex Montero from AJ Perrie came to look at the furnace that broke in my attic and charged $95. Initially he said high efficiency furnaces shouldn't be in the attic because condensation causes the exhaust pipe to block and that is my problem. Later on he blamed the circuit board and then he started selling me a new furnace. When I asked if changing the circuit board will fix the problem, he didn't know. His recommendation was to replace it. Then the sales guy Keith Bowman comes to my home next day morning and tells me to replace the A/C unit as well while I am at it. He quotes $8816 to replace the furnace, $7245 after all the discounts. He says there is no problem installing a high efficiency unit in the attic even though the technician said that is the problem. Essentially I paid $95 for a sales call.
