Description of Work: They due maintenance for change of system. They make sure my system is up to par and including my water heater. Very profession with letting me know about my furnace and the up keep. They installed an igniter switch and made sure my furnace was up to par with the amps. Personally I request Neil he is wonderful! And Jim Henkel wonderful to deal with.

Description of Work: After over 20 years in my house, I finally needed to have my sump pump replaced (it wouldn't stop running). I had gotten an estimate for the work over the phone from another local reputable plumber, but AJ Perri wanted to come to the house to provide an estimate. I explained that this was a very straight forward job (nothing out of the ordinary), but they insisted on coming to the house. | |The plumber showed up on-time, and spent about 30 seconds looking at what needed to be done to replace the sump pump. They went back out to their truck for a couple of minutes, and returned with a written quote for the work... $800. They assured me this was a very competitive price, and I wouldn't find it for less elsewhere. When I told them that I had gotten a verbal quote of only $600, they told me that the $800 was very good, and they couldn't do better. I told the plumber to "have a nice day", and showed him the door. | |Not 30 seconds later, there was a knock on the door. It was the plumber from AJ Perri. They said that if I agreed to have the work done right then and there (which was my plan all along), his manager said that they would match the $600 price. Amazing how they were confidently pressuring me to spend $800, but then quickly dropped the price by $200 (that's 25%!). I confirmed that they would be supplying the same pump and the same service as they would have at $800. | |The work appears to have been done properly, and we haven't had any problems with the sump pump since it was installed. | |Moral of the story... don't let someone pressure you into taking their first offer, especially without getting at least one additional competitive quote.

Description of Work: First off, I just want to say that it's a bit creepy that I was contacted regarding this repair without using Angie's list. With that being said, I have a service agreement with them for my boiler and A/C unit. I discovered that my boiler was leaking and since this happened within the 30 days of my general boiler service, they came out and fixed the issue, free of charge. Turns out that a nut was lose and needed tightening.

Description of Work: Replaced main sewer line from house to the street. I thought they were a little expensive, but, I felt they were the best to do this job and not have plumbing problems later. You get what you pay for as they say. No regrets - I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They came to unclog my bathtub. I had them come once before and paid $99 for the unclogging service. When it happened again, there was no charge.

Description of Work: I have used them for replacement of two HVAC systems in my house and then maintenance afterwards. Initially, I found them to be responsive but when work needed to be done on the systems, their service technicians always found something expensive that needed to be replaced...at my expense, of course. After several of these experiences, I called in another HVAC company who told me that the parts AJ Perri replaced should never have failed in a new system. Their conclusion: either the premium systems that AJ Perri sold me were junk and not high end as the salesman said or, more disturbingly, I was being fleeced by the service technicians. Either way, I would not do business with that company again. I do not trust them.
