Guardme was contracted with Monitronics Security for installation and equipment of home alarm services. Monitornics has been wonderful to deal with. Although in now very responsive to my concerns, even giving me the manager's personal mobile number, at the time I was told that it was not a big deal. The original sales person I was dealing with for purchase and install emailed my contract to someone else's email address with all my personal information on there including my credit card and the security code information. It also had my address my name etc. I was very very upset about it and had to spend several hours that afternoon away from work at the bank having a new debit cards issued for my husband and myself. Then several hours online calling the Credit bureaus to freeze our credit profiles, just is case there was a breech. I did not feel at the time that the sales team took my concerns seriously. The sales representative whom I was dealing couldn't have been nicer in apologizing to me. He was the reason I allowed the install to continue on our planned day. And I come to find out that they fired him shortly after. In response management authorized 2 months free monitoring which wasn't really enough for such an egregious breech of security but I accepted because I wanted to work with Monitronics for the monitoring.

Different people have been discussing 4 wire vs 2 wire and was not certain what that meant and whether it would make a difference in sensors, especially since the system was an older one. Before making a decision I wanted information. I had called several companies and either was not able to speak to anyone or was not able to get a good explanation. I contacted Guard Me and was successful in getting a live person to talk to. I first spoke with Anthony who provided me with info and transferred to Reed. Reed explained in detail about the fire sensors and informed me that no matter what system fire sensors needed to be changed every 10 years. This was verified on line per the fire safety standards. Both Anthony and Reed were most courteous, professional, patient and explained what I needed to know about the sensors. Should I decided to change I would have no hesitancy to contact Guard Me. This company has dealers in Florida who would perform the local work but the company is located in New Jersey. As with most non-local companies there might be variances in the local contractors/dealers but based on the parent locale and the guys I spoke to would be a good company to go with.

My husband put the following comments in November 2013 - They installer was here for about three hours. They installed some devices and they were able to use the system that was previously installed. The technician left some remnants behind and didn?t clean up well after himself. They only provided us with basic instructions on how to use the system and they did not provide us with instructions on the additional features such as through text message or web. Coming out of the gates, we accidentally tripped the alarm off by mistake. The police told us they wouldn?t come because we needed a city permit. It was basically ineffective until we received the permit. They had a follow up call after the install and I mentioned all of these issues to them. They said they would get back to us, but they have not. Since November 2013 (mainly due to this review), GuardMe has resolved all the issues. Based on this, we updated our rating from D to B. No complaints as of right now.

They installed a wireless system. The technician who installed my service was wonderful - very patient, knowledgeable and helpful with answering all questions on how to use the system. The reason I would try another service in the future is only about the ongoing service provider - they use Monitronix, who is not that reliable in terms of troubleshooting a problem. I had a problem in the beginning where they gave me wrong information and it was very confusing. I'm not that confident in Monitronix's knowledge and ability in the event of an emergency.

After they completed the installation, I found that it was a different system than I had expected. Everything has turned out relatively good. There have been some issues with the system working properly and they haven’t been quick to respond. I think the issue may been a glitch with the server and the app on the phone.

However our notes show that we have explained that do to they type of system that was already in your home that you wanted us to use there is not a touch screen available for that platform. We had a system before, but they we were able to get their service for a less cost and an additional monitor. One technician came out to install the unit and he arrived on time. They had already told us how to use the unit over the phone, but he showed the pad to us entirely before leaving. They charged no cost for the installation and they have been very good. We are very pleased with their equipment and their services. They even called back later on to see if everything was working just fine and it was.

Install went great. Very professional crew. However, monitoring company is terrible. The first issue I had was with the time it took them to answer the phone. I was on hold for 5 minutes. That is a long time when you have an alarm issue. This time the alarm went off in the middle of the night with no phone call. When I called them, was told the alarm had to go off for 30 seconds before dispatch. I dont expect the police to be auto dispatched but a phone call should be made as to status of alarm. Also false alarm due to faulty equipment both times. I have had alarm systems for the past 20 years and this is by far the worst monitoring company I have ever had. Would not use again. Guardme should look for another monitoring service because the sale and install is only one part of the process. Now i am stuck in a 2 yr monitoring agreement with a monitoring company i can no longer count on. Update: Craig M. Was great at responding to my concerns. I am in the service industry and appreciate his fast response. As a result, i have changed my rating and am hopeful the changes Craig put in place will be effective.

GaurdMe was the first security company we contacted and I wish it would have been the last because everyone after them was just a waste of our time. From start to finish they were knowledgeable, punctual and professional. The Service Manager, Navid Asssal, was extremely helpful in designing a security system that was right for our family. He made sure it was affordable for our family budget and that we felt safe while both in and away from our home. The installation technician, Bill was fantastic. He was a subcontractor and I have had bad experiences with subcontractors in the past, however, Bill was a thousand times better than most company employees we have had in our home. He was a perfectionist! He accidentally drilled through our foyer wall and made the tiniest hole (it was barely noticeable). I didn't think he even noticed it let alone that he would bring it to my attention. When he was completely finished he asked me if I had any paint to match our foyer. He had already patched the tiny hole and wanted to paint it. I told him it would take me an hour to find the paint so not to worry about it. He insisted and waited nearly 30 minutes while I searched the garage to find the paint. I was very impressed. I have and will continue to recommend GuardMe to my friends and family.

From the sales person, Michael, to the installer, the was a fantastic experience. They were honest with what we needed, didn't try to upsell us, and were very professional. The installer was great, answered every question, and walked us through the whole system. It's been almost 6 months, and it was a great experience, and a very good system. Highly recommended.

The installer arrived within ten minutes of the scheduled time and the installation of the security system was done in a neat and professional manner. The installer had thirty years of experience installing systems and he was able to help us make decisions on locating various parts of the system so that we have a complete and capable system that provides maximum protection. Installer arrived as scheduled but one of the items needed did not work but he made arrangements to meet someone to give him another one and he completed the installation as planned. He did a great job and showed me how to use the system. After the installation I did have to wait 2 weeks before receiving the signage for the home and that was only after I called to remind them to send it to me.
