When we opened our doors in 1997, we had one goal in mind: to design custom integrated home security systems based entirely on the vision and needs of each of our clients. To that end, we decided we would provide the best security equipment available, offer the best possible customer service to our clients, and make security systems accessible and affordable to families and business owners. We’re proud to say that this driving philosophy remains the same – over 38,000 customers later. Description of Work: Installed a monitoring system, for downstairs doors. Couldn't install recessed alarm on front door, and never followed up to fix it. Actually, followed up once after a negative angies list report, sent out technicians a few months later, and informed me they were unable to install a recessed alarm. (after drilling in a mahogany door)

Description of Work: Installed home alarm system. |We were very satisfied with the service. |Later on we changed our TV service to ATT U-verse. |It is not compatable with Guardme Security. We didn't know that. |We signed a contract for 3 years & there for are paying a |monthly charge for an alarm system we can't use. |If anyone wants to install an alarm system, check everything before. |We didn't & now are paying for it. About $37.00 per month. |

Description of Work: Installed home security system. I found them to be a better overall deal than Slomins and ADT, among others. We really shopped around. We were able to negotiate payment terms satisfactorily and the work was performed quickly and thoroughly. The technician was very comfortable and skilled. No glitches at all.

Description of Work: Installation of equipment was about $300 (as best I remember) and the monitoring costs $44.95 per month. Service is fine but I was not informed that they require a 3-year contract. It's ok, but they should have told me that first. Once the system was installed, the contract for monitoring went to Monitronics, based in Texas. Monitronics is very prompt in responding if the alarm goes off. But I don't think there's much difference among alarm companies, and since installation, I don't recall hearing from GuardMe again. All my dealings are with Monitronics. I would advise people to shop around before signing anything. Ask who is doing the monitoring - I think Monitronics does this for lots of alarm companies. If so, you could probably get a lower cost than I did for installation and monthly monitoring.

Description of Work: We discovered their plan would not be helpful. So we told them that we appreciated their offer, but we would not be using their services. Immediately we began to get threatening phone calls. They were abrasive and threatening and rude. They demanded that we pay for a full contract even though no services or equipment was ever used. Their behavior and attitude was so awful we would never use or recommend this company to anyone.

I have personally reviewed the recorded calls between you and our company. I was not able to find any that were unprofessional. I think you are upset because we have been making you aware of your breach of contract and are looking to find a happy medium where both parties are happy. When you signed your agreement and gave your we started investing in this relationship. Being that we do the installation free of charge in exchange for your monitor service we are now upside down in this relationship after you cancelled the installation with our technicanian at your door. Our investment is in settings up your account, scheduling your install, our installers travel time and expenses etc. Why you would think you have no fincial obligation is the part we don't agree on. Description of Work: They installed a new system using some of our old system. Everything seems fine but one thing: |our cat set off the alarm and we called them about changing a motion detector. The agent said he would call the next day but didn't so we had to call back after the weekend and it took several days for them to send someone out to fix it. Meanwhile we were afraid to use the system to avoid another false alarm. The installer was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a great teacher! The system seems fine now, but only used it 3 days so far.
