When we opened our doors in 1997, we had one goal in mind: to design custom integrated home security systems based entirely on the vision and needs of each of our clients. I can’t say enough about GuardMe Security. They came when they said they were going to come. They walked me through it and explained to me exactly how it works. They showed me how the app for the phone worked. Whenever I call them with questions they were always there to answer them for me. The installers were very clean and organized. The price was right and they don’t try to scare you. I am very secure with the system. It is so much more helpful being at home at night by myself.

There was a problem with the installation. The one service man they sent out couldn?t install it properly and it took about a week longer until it was installed. I had to also go and buy a modem and I purchased the wrong one and I had to take it back which was frustrating. I wanted to be able to access it on my phone and computer and they couldn?t get it to work on the phone or the computer at first. They advised me what to do with my cell phone so I did it, and ended up losing all my pictures and it still doesn?t work on my phone. They kept sending the same guys to fix the problems that they couldn?t fix before. I think that their technical staff needs more experience. I asked them to charge the second payment that I owed them on a different credit card and they ended up charging each card twice. I had to call them back to fix the billing issues which took about a week for the charge to get reversed. The system also crashes on my computer a lot and will sign me out . I would like to update. I am extremely happy with my system. I have had ii two years now and I have had no problems. I feel very secure knowing my home is under surveillance. I have had to call them on occasion and they walked me through what ever problem i had., I am more than happy.

Due to the home being 200+ years old this installation was much more challenging then the average job. I would like to point out that we saw this installation through without any additional charge even though the 200+ year old construction caused us to invest 3 times the amount of labor estimated for a job this size. The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. I would recommend them to others

We certainly do not want our customers to have a bad experience. Although it does not happen often when there is a product recall we immediately remove from our inventory and send all effected product back to the manufacture. It has been great, and they did a very good job. They were very neat, and the guy that installed it had a lot of knowledge about the product. They spent time with me to explain how everything worked. Everything as very forthright. I pay about $28 per month. I am very pleased with the system.

They matched their installation to my schedule to get it done. I would recommend them to others. I haven’t had my house broken into since they installed it, and everything is working great. They treated us really good. They covered spots in the house that I had not even considered for access.

It has been very good. I will say that that their keypads are very archaic. Everything else has been fine. They are very professional and their customer service is great. I was really impressed with the customer service.

They did a good job. I would recommend them to others and already have. They were professional and the technician did well. We didn’t have to pay for any of the equipment, and it is just a flat $39.95 per month for a 3 year contract. They call us about once a month to make sure it is working. They ran into a few problems when installing, but they stayed late and finished it. Their price is very competitive. They came in on short notice because we were leaving town to install the system.

Kevin has been very personable and a joy to talk to, he has been nothing but understanding and motivated to make sure I feel safe in my home, the rates I have been given has been wonderful. GuardME has been very great to me my home is very unique and GuardME has done nothing but try to make sure I am completely satisfied with the the way i would like the security system set up in my home/business. They have listened and been very patient and understanding. A lot of the Alaram companies do not service rural areas, however GuardME does and that is a big plus. (this was written after my sales call) It has been over a month. I have not got my security system installed and they have my money. I requested that I have my money back and they give you every story in the book to try and hold your money. They keep telling me they can not find an installer. This has taken too long. I believe they make empty promises and I do not want to do business with them. They are great at selling, but I believe this is a scam. I have reported them also the BBB and the state. Do not go with this business. I personally contacted the companies that they use for the cameras and they are using the more inferior products which are not going to guarentee you the quality of the picture. The price is to get you in the door and then they start changing the rates. They lie to their customers. Bottom line. I have changed my grade to an F because they have no quality, morals, or values.

1/6/14 Update: Not only did GuardMe Security never follow up on-site when I had problems with the system they installed, they were not truthful in response to my complaint. They stated that they provided free equipment to help my system. They never provided additional free equipment. I purchased the additional equipment based on their advice and the system still did not work. They claimed to have spent hours working on the system but never once came back to the house to trouble-shoot. Revised review after attempting to have Angie's List mediate for me: After researching security company options, Michael Gawler, the salesperson for GuardMe Security convinced me that I should work with a company providing professional installation rather than DIY (do-it-yourself.) Although I suspected installation would not be difficult, I wanted to know that any problems would have someone to back it up. At the beginning of September 2013, someone from GuardMe Security provided ?professional installation? of the security system for our house. Within the month, it was clear that the system was not working as promised. Several times, when I called the customer support number, no one answered the phone. Eventually I called their monitoring company who was able to find a live person who implied that, based on what was happening, the system would never work without modification to our house costing additional money. After 3 months of trying to resolve the problems, with no success, I asked to have the contract cancelled and my money refunded. As of now, they have done neither. During those three months, my continued calling eventually got someone to attempt to make suggestions over the telephone. These suggestions made no difference in how my system worked. By telephone, on different occasions, I was told: 1. (By GuardMe Security?s back up support) Someone should see the system on-site to determine the problem - this never happened 2. (By GuardMe Security?s back up support) I should run an extension cord through my house with additional modules (at additional cost to me) - if this was a realistic solution, I should have been told during installation and I would have refused the system before it was installed 3. There must be a construction problem with my house - again, if this was the case, I should have been advised of this during installation and I would have refused the system before it was installed The bottom line is that no one ever made a realistic attempt to determine the real problem for why the system was not working. I was told several times that without seeing it on-site, they could not diagnose the problem. However, no one ever came on-site after the initial installation. I wasted considerable time trying to get the system to work based on what I was told on the telephone. I also wasted additional money purchasing more modules based on what I was told on the telephone. GuardMe Security was unable to provide the service they promised. No one followed up with on-site review of the problems, which should have been included with their advertised ?professional installation.? In mid-December, after I had removed the system and replaced the malfunctioning items, and after I attempted resolution through Angie?s List, someone from GuardMe Security offered to come to the house. After three months of frustration, I was not interested in starting over. My research was careful and thorough. GuardMe Security has excellent ratings which is why I believed they were the best provider for the service I needed. Perhaps there is something odd with the construction of our house and my problem was unique. However, if that were the case professional installation should have addressed this. Before I talked with the GuardMe Security salesperson, I planned to use a DIY company. That would have cost less money and my expectation would have been different. For me, this has been a frustrating, expensive, and disappointing experience and I would not recommend GuardMe Security.

We are very sorry to hear that we were not selected to protect your home and family. We would like to respond to some of the points mentioned in your review. 1. 3 year monitoring agreement. A: Correct we do require a 3 year agreement to install our no charge package of equipment and professional installation. The reason is simple. We make a very large investment in providing the equipment and labor, both are of very high quality and we have substantial costs. In fact the entire 3 year agreement of monitoring is needed just for us to break even. We provide a very high level of service and that is why our customer love us and stay long term. 2. Our monitoring rate is high. A: Our monitoring is very competitive. We are not the least expensive and we are certainly not the most expensive. However it is very important to compare apples to apples with alarm monitoring as there is a large range of service levels. One thing is for sure if we are a few dollars more than our lowest cost competitor, we're worth it. We treat our customer like gold. Sometimes a slightly higher price is well worth the white glove service, lighting fast response time and peace of mind knowing that a true professional installed and services your home security system. Ainsley was the person who had come home to install the system. He installed the door and window sensors, the motion sensor, the glass break sensors, the control panel. He also showed us how to use the control panel with regards to arming and disarming the security system. He also showed us how to get the remote access for the system over a tablet or phone. All this with a smile on his face. He also helped us by suggesting where we could install the video cameras we were planning on purchasing.
Description of Work: Well, we still had to close on the house when I had called up guard me - Naved from there was ever so helpful - he checked the listing and we figured out the number of sensors we would need for the house and where they should be placed. He negotiated a good price for us too. Moreover - when our closing date got pushed two times - he was helpful with getting the set-up date moved too. Overall - very good customer service.

They were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. They really explained, not just their system but things that I should be considering and it really gave us a strong level of comfort and feeling good about the purchase. They were extremely accessible. So anytime I needed to talk to somebody which included over the weekend when I needed some support after the system was installed. I was actually able to Face Time with somebody over the phone to see stuff on my system and they showed me exactly what to do to make some changes and fix things. They were absolutely incredible with their service.

I'm so glad I picked Guardme. They came out and installed everything and took care of me no questions asked! No complaints here. System is very loud and I love the fact that when I'm home if someone ie. my 8 year old daughter opens a door or window, the console tells me that the door or window has been opened. I Highly recommend!

Guardme did a great job in the sales and installation process. They are a sales and installation company. However, as our house was under construction, it was necessary to have a follow-up visit to make sure that all the smoke detectors, glass break, and window sensors are placed properly. IMPOSSIBLE to get them to respond to or schedule a follow up visit. I called them a bunch of times, offered to pay extra, etc, but no reply. So if you don't care about service, GuardMe is fantastic.

I called to see if they worked in the DFW area and they said that was no problem. After about 10 minutes on the phone with Navid he had me all set up and said they could do the install the next morning. Wow. I was impressed, the installer (Matt) was great and very informative. We got the promotional special - free equipment and installation. We called in the morning and they arrived the same day and installed the equipment. They showed my husband how to use the equipment and were very helpful and professional.

Very good job. The installer talked with me to understand just what I had and wanted. Some windows were not protected and was quickly taken care of. Went over the use of the system and tried to make sure I knew how to operate it. This is the only area I found fault with. The installer got called and told he would need to cover another installers appointment. This caused him to spend much less time going over the use of my system then he wanted too. I felt I had no reason to act like a brat about it. I had gotten a great deal, saw no problems with the installation and he was very professional even when I could see he felt rushed. It didn't take long to find out the system worked. I had been without an active system for a while so I forgot I had set the alarm when my wife had gone to bed. I was working late on my computer and got a little warm, so I leaned over and opened the window a little because I did not want to turn on the A/C. also, didn't want to take a chance my cell phone would ring so I turn it down. Never heard the call from guard me about the window being open. (There is a way to have the window open with out setting off the alarm while your at home) The next thing I hear is the door bell in the middle of the night. It was the police. I identified my self and my wife, explained what had happen. I told them how sorry I was to have them called out for my mistake. They were very understanding, but will try not to let that happen again. ;-D

They were very nice. Walked me through getting a quote on phone. When the installer came I realized I had misunderstood about motion sensors and preferred more contact points. They made the change for me and didn't charge the difference. We're still getting used to the system because we've never had one before. But they've been very nice throughout.

The installer meet me at my house and was very courteous and prompt. He asked where I wanted to put the new unit or if I wanted to remove the old unit from the home. After installing the equipment he showed me all that I needed to know to work my new system and watched me to make sure I was doing it correctly. Awesome Company and great price.

I already had an alarm system hardwired into my house from the previous owners, but did not want service from ADT. ADT constantly called me and I felt harassed by all their phone calls and pushiness. Glad I found GuardMe on Angie's List. I explained that I just purchased a house and saw their deal on Angie's List. They were able to work with me to add features to the deal so that I got a great price. When the service technicians came to my house, instead of ripping out all the hardwired alarm features, they were able to incorporate the existing alarm into their system, and I was happy that I didn't have old unused alarm pieces that served no purpose but that if removed, would leave marks on the doors and windows. GuardMe also installed security cameras around the house and the technicians advised me on the best locations to install cameras to get the best coverage. They also recommended glass breakage sensors because I have a lot of skylights and windows in the house. They really knew what they were talking about and now I have a state-of-the-art security system that I can monitor from my iPhone. I feel safe and secure knowing that the police will be called if an alarm trips in the house when I'm not home, and that I have a panic feature in the alarm in case I need to contact the police when I am home and an intruder enters. Overall, I felt like the technicians did a wonderful job and I've already recommended GuardMe to friends and family.

I called Mike at GuardMe Security and told him my dilemma. He walked me through all the steps that I needed to fix the problem. He spent close to an hour on the phone with me. He had me send electronic pictures to help him problem solve for me. He was patient and clear. He did this as a curtesy service to a total stranger, I can assure you that his customers would get first rate service!!
Description of Work: I have an older home with an outdated security system. This system was in place when I bought the home 20 years ago!! The system signaled a fire with a very high loud screaming noise. My fault, I had forgotten some food on the range, the system did its job. But, I did not know the code to turn off the alarm. I called the company that installed the alarm originally, they told me they could get to me within 48 hours. Since the alarm is screaming in my ears, I decided 48 hours would not work for me.

All in ALL the final outcome was to my satisfaction
Description of Work: It was hard in the beginning to get a response for an issue I was having with the camera software because my laptop crashed and also I had changed to a new smartphone. But was able to get help in addressing these issues and since then have had no problems and Guardme has been very responsive.

We understand how challenging it can be setting up an existing app when you buy a new mobile device. That's why we offer free lifetime phone support to our customers. For security reasons however we do not save customer's log-in, user names, passwords or IP address. That is something the customer needs to keep secure and to them self. To retrieve such information we visited your location, retrieved your IP address, defaulted your system and created new user name and password and set up your new device. I'm a little surprised that after all of that excellent service our overall rating would be a C. We certainly thank you for your business and will be here to service you in the future if needed.

the monitoring company has a good record and something like a 20-second turnaround to notify police. It's a big central station that monitors for several security companies, I think. GuardMe is a subcontractor and is the company that owns my contract. They're local (in New Jersey) and they're very quick to respond to questions or problems.
Description of Work: I've had the system installed for only a week, but it's going well so far. An initial problem with a faulty sensor was corrected quickly and the company was very responsive. The only other issue has been that I didn't fully understand how to operate the main box, but the system includes a short DVD that explains it all clearly. While the installation cost is higher than some other companies, I have a complete system for the whole house that works well for my needs, and comparing with friends who use other systems that are less comprehensive, I think this is a better deal. A 36 month contract is required, and that includes fire alarm monitoring and a key fob that can be used to arm or disarm the system or as a panic button to call the monitoring station. I also have the ability to operate the system from my iPhone. One concern I had at first is that the monitoring station is not local - it's in Dallas, but
