[Members Name], It is too bad that you feel we did not respond quickly enough and that you feel our price was too high. What many potential customers don't realize about Quality small contractors, like us, is that our current workload dictates how quickly we can respond to budgetary estimate requests. Our company qualifies all potential clients to see if there is compatibility by providing an initial budget free of charge. The potential client is requested to get us as much accurate information back to us, so we can achieve this. At the time of first contact we were at maximum capacity of work load with 2 kitchens and 1 bathroom that needed to be complete by Christmas. With that said this is the chain of events that were documented by our company via phone and/or email. You first made contact with us on Dec. 3 via phone. We responded promptly within 48 hrs and requested a clear scope of work and a kitchen plan. On 12/9 we received the plan via email that you had from your "designer" at The Home Depot. On12/10 I responded looking for more information regarding scope of work and existing kitchen pictures. We received the pictures over a week later on 12/18(1 week before Christmas). On Dec. 29th we provided you a quote of $8475 for the following: Rip out cabinetry, appliances & soffits in Kitchen. Dispose of Debris. Plumbing: Run new gas line for Range. Install new shut-off valves for faucet & dishwasher supply lines. Install new faucet, garbage disposal & dishwasher. Electrical: Install receptacle for microwave oven/exhaust fan off existing electrical line, in cabinet above microwave oven. Re-connect wiring for dishwasher & garbage disposal. Install new ceiling fan in same location. *No other electrical work or lighting work is included. General: Patch sheetrock as needed. Install new cabinetry & appliances. Install new trim around window & new baseboard around room. In my opinion we responded promptly to all your correspondences. If it can take you over a week to respond to our request for more information, I think it is fair to say we can take more than a week to respond, especially being that Christmas was right in the middle of this. You also commented that we were High Priced. Pricing is extremely subjective as there are too many variables in the contracting world. We are a fully licensed and insured company that has been in business for over 25 years. All of our personnel have been with us for at least 10yrs and are the highest quality craftsmen. From the events that transpired above I don't feel that we were unresponsive or priced too high for the scope of work that was requested. I guess it is a matter of opinion and interpretation by you, the potential client. We are probably both better off not having worked together as our level of quality and service are likely much higher than you were willing to pay for.
